    Great video, I agree with you about almost everything, I've had my L7 since new covered approx 6500 miles, this season though has been mainly trackdays and not so much road riding.
    Only issue what so ever so far is front fork seal that started leaking. I have the non r version upgraded with full system and ECU flash, qs/blipper and a lot of other stuff. It still amazes me.

    • @johnnymax462
      @johnnymax462 5 років тому

      But theres a proper ECU map required from the supplier that carries out the work for you, an flash unlocks the ECU but and new map is what gives you the big difference in engine characteristics and output power :) I had great help from msg racing in the uk. They also updated my tc map with their own one which has been a great upgrade for track riding.

There was a metal burr on the clutch push rod a manufacturing fault which caused the cluch to basically seize made it very difficult to pull the clutch in and disengage the gear. Kawa had to replace the input shaft and push rod which is a huge expense job because the whole h2 gearbox had to be stripped. My brothers dealer had to do it twice because they struggled to find the problem. All costs were covered by kawa it just took a long time for them to sort. All the info is on the kawa forum. Not an isolated case as another member had the same issue. Not trying to put the shiters up you mate. In both cases the fault developed at 3500 to 4000 miles

    Absolutely love the bike! Aside from that as far as traction control and anti wheelie together is inevitable. See essentially when or if your back wheel spins or (breaks traction) it will cut power I'm ecu n shut it down enough till it grabs. Therefore having to essentially give the bike so much power it wheelies is a process of breaking traction grabbing and pulling up.how you said that it would wheelie on a lower setting is cause ecu is cutting less power. The traction not really effecting. If you didn't have traction you would just spin. The traction is what allows your bike to pull up instead of spinning. Just figured I would explain. But great vid, next purchase here soon as my fiance has took over my k5 600.

    Some people are saying the stock steering damper is useless and needs an aftermarket one, is this true or are they okay with the miles and road riding you have done on it?

      I put a 200/55 on the rear Michelin power cup evos- So much better!! Added custom rear set foot pegs, and have changed the padding in the seat to match me better, and encourage me to sit further back towards the pillion. I can put 500 miles behind me no problem at all.

      Ok interesting ref the tyre size change.. next year I will do a tour on sports bikes also. I'm sure the bike can do long days in the saddle without too much discomfort, seems you've already tested it 👍

      Same, i love mine but at the same time it has no personality. It's functional. It doesn't gave the 14b r1 roar or the poonigale scare factor, it's composed and precise for the most part

    Considering getting a 2017 one of these. Is it better to get a full system or just link pipe and silencer? I'm thinking cost. However reading comments on here are there any issues just doing a link pipe and silencer then getting it mapped?

    Very good review. Thanks much. Just one question - In your opinion, which one is more comfortable for long riding if you compare this one and new BMW S1000RR?
