    You had me at “There’s no place like Rhone!”😄 Love this wine region of France as it’s the land of French Syrah! Your video certainly covered so much - excellent discussion of each AOC, terroir, and climate including the infamous mistral winds. Really great background info! Guigal and M. Chapoutier are also two of my favorite Rhone producers but I would love to hunt down your other recommendations. Outstanding advice! Thank you and congratulations - I think this is one of your best YT videos! Santé!

    Really informative, squeezing lots of wine into a well-timed video. Found this whilst looking for some info on some Cornas I am looking to buy here in the UK 🇬🇧. But you have put me in even more of a quandary on what to stock up on 😅

    Appreciating your new video transition effect which is a great improvement over watching your face split in half in previous editions when you moved to the next item. Thanks also for the cellar defenders for Northern Rhone! I still need to buy some Rhone bottles that can be defended:) When I do, your defenders will come into play.

      Thanks very much! I still do all the editing myself and have been learning on the job. Appreciate the feedback! This video also could have been titled Top 12 N. Rhone wines from $35 to $90 or something similar. But this format worked well for CdP so I thought I would try it again for N. Rhone. Cheers!

    Great video as always . N Rhone constitutes the largest portion of my cellar and I never seen that changing. Great recommendation on the SJ Chave… although the Offerus is considerably cheaper I wouldn’t put it anywhere close to the quality of the SJ. My understanding is the Offerus line isn’t even made from Chave vineyards and they are simply acting as a negotiant… maybe an idea for a future video is a deep dive on some book recommendations? I see lots behind you.

    Love La Maison Bleue! An unbelievable value that almost makes me not even want La Chapelle, well until you smell one opened...also love everything I've had by Levet but am dying to try Chavaroche. Vincent Paris Granit 60 Cornas and Saint Cosme Saint Joseph are also some of my favorite values

    Hi Attorney Somm, loving the videos. In the UK, the 2017 and 2018 Chave are available. If you had to buy one case only, would you buy 2017 or 2018? I'm a little scared by the 15% ABV on the 2018, even if it might be a little earlier drinking. Any thoughts gratefully received.

    • @AttorneySomm
      @AttorneySomm  2 роки тому

      Thanks very much! Both are excellent, but if you prefer a lower ABV then I would go with the 17. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Very glad you enjoy the videos. Cheers! 👍🍷

    I’m I big fan of the Guigal’s you mentioned. I thought you also might include some Stephane Ogier’s and some Jean-Luc Colombo’s. I’m a fan of the Rhône, both north and south, so I’ll definitely rewatch this video a few times to familiarize myself with your recommendations.

    I am currently drinking 2012 Jaboulet Crozes Hermitage in an attempt to avoid drinking my 2010 Cote Roties and Hermitage. I have some 2015 Cornas, which will stay in the merchant's cellars for a few years. I tend to avoid St Joseph because it is so variable. Love Guigal, btw.

      Thanks very much for weighing in. Sounds like a good approach! Agree Saint Joseph can be variable, but the picks I include here are all from top locations in the hills to the north. Definitely not one to take a flyer on at a restaurant though. Cheers! 👍🍷
