Man this upload hits different now that I’m holding my TR GarageBuilt coozie with a dew in it 💪🏻💯
Can we just appreciate how TR never clickbaits👏👏
NEED TO BUY STANDALONE NEW CARBON MONOXIDE detectors for cabin and garage for when generators running at night etc. do not trust the one old stock camper one if it even has one. On that same note check generator exhaust for leaks and proper routing as well.
I think one thing that gets overlooked is fire suppression. I’d look into getting one for the bus considering how your entire operation is in there and it’s a fairly long process to get the car out
I agree with this, hes got one in the vet, why not one for the bus!
It’s on the list he’s mentioned it in the first episode i think
he hasn't even bothered inspecting the suspension or brakes yet, or basically any of the actually important stuff.
@@Avbodenbrakes and suspension are something you can tell if there's anything wrong by simply driving the vehicle . Even a professional mechanic will take a car for a test drive before removing and replacing parts . He drove it all the way home from Maryland , if there was anything wrong I'm pretty sure he would have figured it out by now .
@@OlderthanIlookyoungerthanIfeelI've heard " oh, I just thought that was how they all drive" way too often to believe in that. When you get a new vehicle (especially if it is a bus and you are not used to busses), you have no clue what is normal to feel while driving.
I've had an Eagle bus for the past 15 years. If you haven't yet, check the DOT date code on the tires. I've had two blowouts, both were tires with plenty of tread but over 12 years old. It's quite exciting when it happens.
Can’t believe the decals survived this long. Thought removing them would have been the first thing on the list.
I might would leave the checkered flag but the eagle and flames would have to go ! Lmfao
I think in a previous video, Taylor mentioned that he wanted to get the bus sorted before any cosmetics are done.
@@Vhadc His usual order of operations. I respect the self control, I can't help myself usually haha
High possibility its in the paint/clear coat. Typically these high dollar buses do that so they dont look like shit in a couple years
@shannacollins4741 100% removing the eagles would have been my first job. But hey, not my vehicle lol
Definitely needs a Garage Built livery to match the car!
Just got back from Lsfest - can't wait to see how you negotiated the bus thru those cramped entry roads - place was a madhouse!
Seems you missed the most important maintenance item for an old bus: greasing all the fittings 😊
Hey Taylor.. You should build a slide out rack for the spare tires. That'd be dope!
Overhead rack or a rack on the roof would be sweet too
no roof rack you have hight limit on vehicul plus it already touch some tree bracnh@@nathanbaxter2329
Just a casual legend Ron berganholtz just helping out!
Looking forward to seeing awning repair, shower fix, wrap/paint and potentially your upward opening rear door solution.
I just admire this dude. Just seems like so humble. Idk. Content is great bro
Love that Cleetus is bringing back true stock car racing
"yadda yadda" is a very good description for your videos.
I like that as time goes on the races wreck less and less cars. I know wrecks are fun to watch, but I don't want any of our favorite youtubers to get hurt and honestly more people making it to the end is more interesting for the race.
Super cool watching you work on this old engine! Or even changing the oil!
Doesn’t matter what you have or what you have bought, you can always work on anything or will tackle anything you own🤙 you are a natural at it!!
I just love the bus. So nice to have all your stuff in one place
That bus MUST be pretty impressive seeing it in person.
I’m telling ya man I got a lot of respect for all you guys on UA-cam building these cars, racing them, all while making content is incredibly impressive. I’m still trying to get used to talking on camera and not absolutely hating it 😂
Your a good racer! Keep it up and you'll get on podium soon! Thanks for being such a good friend to cleetus. I know he appreciates you driving and judging! Hope to see you back soon.
Have you considered for bus upgrades towards the back of the bus some tire racks towards the ceiling, that way you could carry even more tires! Not sure if there is enough room but something to think about.
Great content thanks for sharing. Enjoy the drive be safe
You should look into getting a flat tow kit so you could tag along one of the f80s
Still living the dream, keep up the good work.
Great upgrades!
It’s such a badass setup!
When cleetus said we totaled 10 cars on lap 14 I went back in time to nascar thunder 2003 going backward in a ups truck demoing the racers then turning around and winning 😊
Sucks that the power steering line broke... but the more time you invest on the rig the more it will give you back in service just need time for it
Bus is so dope
Taylor, small recommendation: maybe add studs and wing nuts to the generator cover? Save you the hassle on varying bolt head sizes and essentially becomes tool-less to remove it.
I would have done a red led strip for temporary backlighting on that dash. Lower wavelength lights don’t mess up your night vision as bad as white or blue lights.
Fighter jets, submarines and most truckers use red for night lighting. So did Pontiac for many years
I would take it to a shop that works on bus and get it up on a hoist to get a good look under it, and there mechanics could point something's out to you that needs fixing or what not
Oh man! I was following this sale on FB marketplace. Following your progress!
TRay you shredding Bristol its so wild!! i went ther in 2015 and it was an epic weekend
Hey bro, you should be sweet to swap out the fuel filter, just fill the new one with diesel before installing. I used to service trucks and buses and that's what I used to do, they started up fine.
Awesome job man!!! I'm so glad you raced in the Bristol 1000. I hope you participate in all of the races to come!!!
Good Luck Bud
You gotta wrap that bus to match the drift car. It would look so good and much better than the current decals
love this bus, great job. you could change the 2 rear doors into 1 up and over instead
For a reference about how wide the vette is, I remember Taylor saying it’s about 91 inches at widest point… my truck on 14 wide tires on 12 wides is about 93 inches wide in back…
I use Teltek gauges in my semi they r digital expensive but well worth the money and their warranty is really good
I'd use studs for the generator side cover and nylock nuts, so they won't vibrate loose/off. Also put some padding around the edge to get rid of that rattle.
great vlog
Heads up on the electric tools. A charging station on the side wall and some 3D printed battery holders to store the batteries for travel would add organization and reduce risk. It is rare but the batteries do catch on fire. People don't think it happen but it do.
U should be able to go right down to I-75 Chrome shop there in Florida n buy all the lights u need for the gauges . They still use those bulbs in a lot of truck dashes
Dang man, was really looking forward to a full episode from Bristol. Maybe next time!
having the side storage looks real convenient when you work on the cars. good luck and enjoy the trip.
Awesome setup:)) good luck whit the drive :)
On those fuel filters fill them with ATF. It’ll clean the injectors and you really won’t have to prime the system again. That’s what I do on my semi trucks.
This Thing wrapped to Match the corvette would be sick
For changing the generator fuel filter, you just fill the new fuel filter up full of diesel and then quick swap them you should be fine.
Just finishing in that race was a cool feat. Awesome video.
Love the bus. Congratulations. If you need a real CB go there in Lakeland to Mesa CB shop and talk to Tony tell him you need a high output upgrade radio. and that Apache sent you. And on that motor remove the gov or nor. and set cruise to 70 on the pedal. And 75 on the switch.
You could install some tire racks in the roof of the garage to get them off the floor
You should make a removable shelf/bed over the hood of the car in the garage. so if you need to sleep on the way somewhere.
Please build that monte!
Hi there, I love your videos !keep going i like what you are doing!kind regards from Romania 🇷🇴
When you do the fuel filter on the bus or the generator put transmission fluid in the fuel filter fill them up it will clean the injectors and you won’t have to prime it
Great channel 👍👍
For the generator fuel filter you can fill the new one up with standard ATF spin the old one off an spin the new one on you should have no issues..iv been using that method for 15+ years no issues
I been doing that for 40 years, always had a fuel filter and and filter wrench, with a qt of ATF in every truck I drove. Your Fuel injectors will love you for it.
@Neverdie242 in my opinion it's the fastest an only way! i try and pass it along every chance I get
You need to get some colored tags/twist/zipties/nail-polish or something to label those dash/gauge wires
I think a nice big Apple CarPlay/android auto screen for gps and music would be a great addition to the dash
Taylor you are such a great racer. Love watching you. Thank you for taking time to support Cleetus. He’s lucky to know you.
We need a "DONE AND DUSTED" tshirt!
Sooo break it? I was on the lookout for this beast at LS Fest and didn't see it. Thanks for the work you to put into these videos and have a good one. Best wishes
Power steering line failed on the way there. They had to limp back home (again).
I would put several large fire extinguishers strategically placed in case of gen, hub, engine, or electric fires.
Absolutely love the bus content. Brings back alot off childhood memories from when we had a bus for racing
Maybe try invest in some plasma gauges they are so sick, I love this R,V
One of the right break lights are out on the rv
Taylor, suggestion... fix your driveway before the bus breaks it all up!
Thats a lot of fuel for one area, i hope you can get an supression system for that particularly spot, just being safe ❤
stock speedo also tracks mileage. find a way to track that moving forward (yes, the old one wasnt working 100%)
could convert rear door to a hatch style with hydralics to get more room for the vette
foldable tire rack down the driver side in the garage of the rv would be clutch .
Uh oh him and Ron together! Future FD program! Chelsea did it!!!!
I’ll be honest. I don’t know how I feel about this bus. But I love that you love it
add the other wheels on the 2nd axle it seems like the 2nd axle only has singles is suppose to have duals
If you pre fill the new fuel filter with fresh diesel you won’t have to crank it should fire right off
The eagle is cool but you need to get a huge garage built logos on the e side of that rig.
So ready for this.
Couple of fire extinguishers
You should put a Starlink dish under that satellite dome.
funny as it sounds i love the bus content lol cant wait to see you fix this thing up over time
Hell YES! Looks awesome!
Looking good TR…… good luck on the trip and win, win, win……. But you all have fun………🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁
put more flames, makes it go faster. also paint it red and chrome.
777 was my dads racing number when he use to do motocross
i feel like taylor would build an absolute animal of a burnout car
The Bus Grease Monkey channel recommends weighing the front axle to make sure the front wheels are not overloaded due to the generator being mounted so far forward.
would be looking at a full set of speedhut gauges for it and modernize the power setup with solar, batteries and some 48v dc mini splits, sell all the old stuff while you can show it working... speak to the crazys at Edison motors in canada throw an e-axel under it!
I notice the engine intake scoop on the side of the bus is behind the exhaust outlet, that doesn’t seem like the best thing.
JH with the knee slapper lol
Bruh the rv videos are hittin
Is there room behind the "garage" doors of the car storage area and the bus like "clam shell" doors? Maybe hooks on the insides of those to hang wheels/tires? From video it seems like there is space but it's hard to tell
Man that looks so fun i would love to do a race like that closet i get is I racing. Brand new ford truck worried about breaking down hold my beer im buying a used race bus 😂
Tell us about that Alfa!!
They should have a class where you build your own car with specific qualifications that would be cool
For the burnout contest... That was a big pit, could someone try drifting around the perimeter for like a minute? Seems like it would show off driving skill, and would sent the smoke around the perimeter for a decent portion of the run, so people could actually see the cars.
