When I hear Nils talk, I start to wonder how he is even real. He is like a beautiful mind from some long gone era.
That also had to be the best audio for an interview subject that I've heard in some time... his voice was superbly captured with all the richness that one would hope for.
I've owned Noire from day one, and I still play it almost every day.. While it's only a sampled version, it's the best a mere mortal like myself will even get since a Yamaha CFX 9' grand piano is financially (and roomwise) so far out of my reach.. I'm overjoyed that I found this piano VST; I was looking for a good piano for years and almost bought Keyscape which is really good too, but I found the most beautiful instrument in NI's Noire by Nils Frahm.. Noire will make you fall in love with this instrument too, and I'm thankful that Nils Frahm sampled his beloved grand piano. Thank you Nils.. thank you so much.
VSL’s synchron CFX is also perfect
Wow, what a guy! So articulate and serene yet still manages to transmit his passion for music and the instrument.
Thank you Native Instruments, for giving me the opportunity to play the same piano that my idol works on. It's as if he was with me, while I play the piano!
Trishant how do u use these programs? Do u play on a midi controller? Do i have to buy it?
@@ludvikmcswag1854 you have to buy a midi keyboard like m-audio, novation, etc there are different kinds, some have better keybeds than others. Obviously, the most expensive tend to imitate a real piano keybed. Nowadays, most midi keyboard can be plugged in usb. Then, you need a software on your computer that is sold by native instruments. However, you will also probably need an external audio interface for the best quality and performance. I have a focusrite scarlett
It's wonderful for emerging artists who can't afford a real grand piano, or don't have the physical space for it, or can't get access one, to be able to use such beautiful sounds in our humble little home studios. It's so important for our creativity...
We strongly believe in that ✨
This piano...is amazing...so nice.
Thank You Nils, and the Native Instruments Team, Incredible work!!!
Thank you Nils for sharing your very personal sound!
I just bought "Noire" and cannot wait to try it out... I already know that I will get lost in it.
Looking very much forward to seeing and listening to you again in Luxembourg!
Thanks Neil and to all the technical team, what a great inspirational instrument!
One of the best instruments of the last ten years. Thank you for your work
Wow, thank you!
Amazing video. Loved your performance in Melbourne this year Nils. Incredible experience.
Yamaha CFX 9 $300,000!
I moved back to the UK about a month before that performance. I saw all the posters for it in Brunswick, I was pretty gutted, as I first got into Nils Frahm and playing the piano when I was living there. I got this VST about a year ago and my playing and composition (due to it) has improved vastly. Glad to hear you enjoyed that show.
I've been looking for a sampled piano for a while and have just bought this. I'm blown away by how beautiful it sounds. But more than that it is an amazing instrument with incredible character. The customisation options are extremely powerful and the Particle engine, which I thought may be a bit of a gimmick, is wonderfully inspiring and deeply programmable so you can create almost anything from ultra subtle to massive! My favourite 'instruments' to play were Joshua Bell Violin and OrangeTreeSamples Evolution Acoustic Guitar, but Piano Noire has just gone to the top of my list. My search for a piano is over. I'm looking forward to a long relationship with this wonderful instrument! :)
This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve encountered in music, ever
Enjoyed this video so much!
Incredible sounding piano VST, bravo!
It's a real pearl in the marvelous NI collection! Such Masterpiece libraries happen to come once in a hundred years...
Thank you for that instrument !! ❤️ Nils, you speak like proffesional man, who knows excatly what to do with piano and studio :) I´m so happy with that, so many years i wished to have sound of piano like that..now my dream come true :)
AMAZING SOUNDING , AWESOME
my fav library of all times, beyond dreamy
Noire is a very versatile, creative, virtual instrument, I love the tone, the particles, and the settings, ou can adjust the bass register's loudness too.
A piano has about 243 strings... each string is tightened to about 200lbs of tension. Approximately 48,600 lbs altogether.
So as Nils says, it's a whole lot of tension on the piano frame, a little over 24 tons of raw energy, to be exact, ready to be released via a whisper or a roar...
Nothing quite like it in this world. ♥
Absolutely heartwarming and awe-inspiring!
Great interview and video on the passion of recording the worlds greatest pianos...
I was surprised, how great the Noire sounds.
Always triggers that nice little feeling ✨
Awesome insights, beautiful tones !
Wow! The video really pulled me in!
Vielen Dank, Nils.
Very nice sound! Thanks!!!!
Love it! I have Komplete 11 and once I can, I'll be getting 12! Love the hard work that's put in this software!
Just so you know, this piano isn't in Komplete 12. In Komplete 12 Ultimate you do get Alicias keys though, which is similar and very nice
@@PiEngineer Yes I know. Just saying I appreciate their work. Granduer, Gentleman, giant are all beautiful enough as is. Love NI
If an archeologist of instrument souls found a piece in which the magic happens, so you can't be no more entusiastic because a piece of miracle happens, each time i play NOIRE, the magic is there, more than any other virtual instruments, Nils captures the soul and that is a miracle today... He is an archeologist of magic
I feel You bro that s love, I love the sound too.
I own around 12+ piano libraries and Noire is my favorite despite some being at least 10x the size! I use it from everything from solo classical to jazz, pop, gospel rock and it consistently my first choice.
However, I have encountered a bug using Noire in Cubase 12 with Tempo Track. When I change tempos the audio badly glitches. I am using the full version of Kontakt 6.7.1 . Has this bug been fixed with Kontakt 7?
Also, I so desperately wish Noire had Una Corda samples! Some companies use modelling for Una Corda and I'm really hoping NI will add this in a future update!
Great interview!
I hope to visit Funkhaus of Berlin one day!
It's the best Piano VST ever my favourite
Nice!
Amazing job, the price is fair. i buy it... thx
Wow, that was great... it is so nice to see how an instrument is sampled... from the mind of the person doing it.
And.... can I ask, How does a UA-camr like me, that is trying to create great music with digital instruments get help from Native Instruments? I have tried sending a couple of emails to the addresses listed on your website. But I have not had any replies as yet. Is there anyone special that I should try to contact?
What help do you need?
Beautiful 👏🏻
Where can i get a copy of Nils playing ' Low hanging smoke ". Also i'd love a copy of the track used in Granduer...." Everything in my head ". Cheers.
Love it... Can we found the songs Nils played on it somewhere?
does anyone know WHAT INSTRUMENT Nils Frahm plays on the Victoria soundtrack, in the song PENDULUM ? it's like an accordion sound... please help
It might be his Harmonium/reel organ with some processing (like reverb and analog tape machines for flutter effects)
thanks Walter !
It is a harmonium.
thanks ;) @@JoshuaLindsay11
Sounds good.
What film company produced this short?
First music in the background?
They should make available a way for us to try it before we buy it. What are they afraid of? The sounds you hear in these videos is the same you will hear using your controller? This is my question.
DINGLISH at it's best. One day I tell you the secret about the D-274 from Steinway and why it costs 120K€... but not today.
An analog boy in a digital world
is that a detachable hood?
I wonder what makes this Yamaha piano so much more toilet brush resistant that any other grand pianos?
Well done, no doubt. However the choice for the manufacturer of a grand piano determines directly the deeper character of everything you try to do with that instrument. He found a Yamaha fits perfectly to what he was looking for. Fair enough. For me I'd always hear that particular Yamaha sound design in this sampled instrument, no matter how many sound processors you add. Therefore I'd rather not buy that truely unique and even well sampled grand piano, as I would always prefer a steinway sound. So I guess everyone would need to answer this to him/herself before spending 149€.
Hint: the video is not about you.
I prefer pizza to kebab, if you’ve been wondering. This is the essence of what you’re trying to say, right? Remarkable.
@@MrBitterman75 almost as remarkable as you trying to be a funny troll.
@@dirface True, its about a product Native wants you, me and everyone to buy.
Was talkt er?
Gravity Freaks ne Menge !
nils you didn't even out your espresso grounds before tamping.
Yamaha is good and sometimes excellent, but it simply cannot compare to a Bösendorfer.
Love you guys but seriously? another piano?? if your most loyal customers were to sum up all the bucks spent on these libraries , I bet they'd afford the real thing already
So glad for this one...I love this piano.
Ha...What should I say. This is completely ineffable.
and people are still going to listen to your music on phone speakers lmao
Guilty!!!
TLDR; so this in essence is just another sampled piano ? How many of these does the world need ?
true
You could ask this question about almost everything that is produced for selling and making money. If it has some new elements or improvements and some people might buy it the answer is easy.
