- Wood crates are easy to make and can be made custom to fit whatever space you may need. Check out how to make these wood crates from reclaimed wood. Each wood crate is stackable too. The reclaimed wood gives it a wonderful rustic look.

Thanks for not only showing the build, but including the jigs as well. Picked up a couple tips watching.
That looks really crate! I especially like the ingenious way of stacking them!
I love the process, really inspiring me. Great job! Thanks a lot.👍👍👍👍👍
Nice well thought out crates I like how they stack together.
Cheers

Great work Jake, certainly helps having all those cool tools 😎👍
I have been looking at this and similar videos to find ideas for stackable home-made crates for use in holding tools and various other items. Stackability would be useful for hauling items in our old Chevy Astro. We may try to go for boxes longer and wider. Thanks for sharing.
Such great idea for pilible crates. Tank you for sharing i love your channel
You have a nice soothing voice, Jake, you are the Bob Ross of woodworking!
The crates turned out great! Nice work!
Thanks so much! Now I just need to make 12 more..
Those turned out great!
Thanks Michael!
Great work! I like the look of these crates.
Thanks. I really like how they turned out.
Beautiful! Great video jake!
Thanks Ty
Very nice video! I really like the ingenious way you made the handles. I also made a similar video but with old pallets wood. Good job!
Excellent Video.
Very nice, I look forward to your future projects.
nice work. I like the interlocking idea.
Thanks Tim. Milling all that wood was a chore but in the end it came out better than I expected . Thanks for the inspiration!
Looking for ideas for stacking boxes for vegetable storage. I have been thinking of using galvanized fence for the bottom but cant convince myself that the wire wont bite into the crops. I like your design and would be using the stackable idea rather than a rack. Thanks for the video ,good job.
I like that you showed the mistakes. Most people would edit those out, but this makes it more real.
Thanks. I always make mistakes along the way. I figure others can learn from them.
nice looking boxes should last you a long time! thanks for sharing
Thanks Caleb!
Very cool. I love them!
Thanks Johannes!
I love the stacking
WOW, just picked up a used Ridgid R4511. Needed new bearings and belt but looks like a good find. Thanks!!
I like mine too. It's been great so far.
nice work, love it
Michaels crates have NOTHING on YOURS!!! Lol BEAUTIFUL!!
Cool project Jake!
donny carter thanks buddy!
Have been looking for designs of simple crates. This is my favourite. Thanks for sharing.
I think the patching pieces around the four stacking holes in the bottom are a bit overkill.
Look great Jake. If I understand it right could you have the four corners stick down like little feet and have the inset part be on top so it would still stack? That way it holds the box up off the ground a little but if something was to spill or get wet?
You totally could do it that way. I was going to make it that way as my first design but realized that all the weight would be concentrated on those four pieces. MY bottom slats are pretty thick, but if I put anything heavy in them I was afraid the bottom would sag. In all likelihood, I'm never going to put anything super heavy in it though.
The beginning looked really confusing but I see what you were thinking! Good project
Yea, there was a ton of prep work with the reclaimed lumber. I think that was more than half of the project.
How did you make that table saw jointer jig? Crates came out pretty awesome.
Very nice work, I couldn't figure out why you left the inside corner pillar style pieces long. Then I saw you stack them, brilliant!
Thank you very much!
Dude, fantastic crates!!
Thanks Eloy! I only have 12 more to go.
I like that they stack, plus they look great..
Good lo' reclaimed wood! I think it took me longer to mill down the wood than it did to build the crates
gonna have to make that straight edge jig, thx.
Well done.
Thanks Matthew!

Could i make them with pallet wood ? Beautiful. Well done. Bravo 😊 🎉
Nice 👍
Good info
hello From Malaysia.
Very nice !! new subscriber
Thanks so much.
Nice job, what size staples?
Those look great. The video is well done too Jake. My only suggestion is that you edit maybe another minute or two out. Keep up the good work.
yea, I had about almost 20 min of stuff once I got everything in and trimmed. I trimmed that down to 13 min. This was a tough one to edit. I thought about making it a two part video but I don't think it would have made sense.
How do you do this without a planer?
I live in a cave in Nepal. where would I get such Equipments to make this Box. I Earn $2.00 a Week ?
Man do you need a crosscut sled.
Hey amazing video can you make more cuz we are the world we the world needs more videos watch me I like woodworking and I'm a kid so make more videos please bye bye
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Robert
Bro you have on long sleeves working on the table saw 👀 🤐😳
Yes I do
Sure that's fine if you happen to have all of that equipment, which most people don't
no writhing knife man?
Push stick, homie.
Ear protection only works if you wear them
What is the point of making them "stackable" and then placing them on a shelf? Could have saved time by not worrying about the corners.
need to cover what you are doing as you go
Totally over engineered. Can be made so simple, durable and useful you might be surprised.
do you have plans for these?
No not officially. I can send you what I've got. I made these custom for the space on my shelves. I'll send you what I have if you want.

Hej. Vil du sende mig dit telefonnummer, skal du kontakte dig?
too much freaking work for crates
Half the work was just prepping the reclaimed wood. it would take about 1/3 less time with dimensional lumber. I'm even thinking of making a version out of 2 x 4's and Pine board.

Good crates but you are going to lose your thumb one day.
Cut the hand hole in the top off the second board this gives you a full top board to pull on.
So-called music is really annoying
