Wonder how many people lost their damn minds on LSD at that show.
more like mdma. I don't think lsd is the right drug for such a location
edit: and yes I just answered a comment from like 4 years ago :D
@John Cincy yeah but lsd is a drug you might not wanna try in a big crowd. If you feel like getting out there and you can't, the feeling can turn everything into a horrortrip pretty fast.
lsd is something you mostly take with some friends in nature or something.
ofc that doesn't mean there aren't ppl who would use it on an event like that. I just mean it can backfire really bad.
@John Cincy r/NobodyAsked
@@mto7429 ehhh... lsd ain't that bad. You gotta respect it and you gotta genuinely feel like you wanna do it. I bet there was still a ton of people on acid not MDMA. Honestly both are kinda similar in a way. Shrooms on the hand is a whole other beast. Know your trip
@@mto7429 not that many
Bloody hell, that musical interlude would be heaven if you're on the right stuff
Lol yes sir!!☺️☺️
L..o.l...
Shut up man!! you're at all MGMT's comments. WTF
THE RIGHT STUFF!?
reminded me of todd terje live
Setlist taped to the back is a nice touch.
Jacob 💜🎯😍
I know love it
I am disappointed I thought it was a much bigger ironic statement. This is so banal
its actually the stage times, sorry to disappoint
andrew is not banal
freakin beautiful crowd, no phones, no camera, just enjoying the moments...! i would kill to be in this concert
I think most of them are fucked up on drugs so they definitely are feeling the momment
+chrisattigliato1 trust it's glastonbury that's the only way to spend the festival
+Nabila As Syifa You know some times you want to record the moment ... to remember that ... if you take your phone 1 minute to record ... i see nothing bad there ...
if you are in the moment, you find no need to record it.
yea hope they coming to my country
Anybody else get a little emotional at the beginning of this song, when he mentions picking insects off of plants, and being so innocent of the consequences. It reminds me of the carelessness of youth.
Why aye chavs go round abusing wildlife
@@robs.8629 i think your wrong in childs in feel read corecrt you have no choice in the moster the zombie gonna to eat childs mom in pick on free dont need to see eye in the story weird i have good choice but you no have choice

Nope
I get very emotional when I hear this song. I know exactly what you mean. ✌️☺️
This is my ultimate college song. This song equals no deadlines, no responsibility, no stress, no adulthood. Just being young and living for the night.
So how did life turn out
Same 😭
College for me at engineering school = lots of deadlines, stress, responsibility, and zero sex.
@@smuthern k
@@smuthern Hey I mean engineering pays well.
This song makes me kinda sad.
Yea it's a song about early 90's childhood and childhood in general, growing up and the consequences we all face because of it.
Me too and I was pregnant when this song came out
Ur not the only one :D
This song makes me kinda hard.
@@SagradaMascarita you're a loser
This is so far the best live performance of "Kids".
yea and it wasnt even that good
@@RustEZZEProductions Who said that?
@@Joel-ff1yp me
I absolutely love this song, and seeing it live was incredible. But I have to say.
MGMT is one of the worst bands I’ve ever seen live.
Absolutely no crowd engagement and even acknowledgment. Came up, performed, left. Without so much as a Thankyou Splendour
Yep. I agree, I’ve seen a lot of performances of this song and this one is the best so far.
That crowd looked live as phuck. Real talk they looked more into it than any other festival crowds for mgmt. Props.
I was there it was fucking awesome
I was also there, there was a very special atmosphere in the crowd that night
yeah. hope glastos as good this year
@@Fenhawk11 were you on acid or MDMA? Lol
It's Glastonbury...
Respect to the guys in the crowd just screaming “doo doo doo doo dooooo doodoo dooooooo dooooooooo”
baby shark
@@bradirvShut up
You can even hear the crowd 'DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DO DO DOO DOOOOOO DOOOOO' 🤣🤣😂😂
I love that little smile between Hank and Andrew at 0:30 as if to say, "I know you hate doing this song live but this is pretty awesome isn't it?"
This reminds me of scoring a worldie with Rooney on FIFA 09 😂 the memories
She. You think about it messi was like 70 something rated too🤣
Init I used to sweat it out on ps2
Hahah and Ronaldinho doing the rabona and replaying the goal
fifa 13 sondtrack is classic...
Legendary game, legendary player, legendary song
0:40 Luka Modric playing with MGMT at Glastombury. Great performance Luka!
Extracurriculars are important for the ballon d'or 😂
Shailen Sobhee Haha legendary comment!

HAHAHAHAHAHA
🤣🤣😅🤣
You know you've made it when the audience sings along to the instrumental riff
But what are they singing
@@countof3everybodyODbest put as just a vocalisation
UK crowds be like
its a british thing to chant ooooo ooooo
I love how they stay in their character even in live performance
Andrew has such a soft and beautiful voice

Those lights gave me a feeling somewhere in between an acid flashback and an epileptic seizure
vampyr69 same
lmao neither of those make sense in this context
A man of culture
This song takes me back to 2007 living in Ann Arbor, Mi......in love with a girl I never got over, out of drug treatment and 22 years old.....those days/times were full of euphoria, bliss, tragedy, melonchloy, and a magic I miss in a way thats not easy to express. This song was able to capture the innocence of youth with th tragedy of adulthood. "Enjoy yourself, take only what you neeeeed from it."
I couldn't have said it better myself brother . I was going through the same thing at the same time. This used to be the so g I would listen to on the way to cop dope.
I hope life's better for you now brother, now come back and listen it again! 😁✌
@@c.d.murphy538and circa survive lol don’t forget them
This may have been the happiest moment of my life.
It's 2023 I'm still here. I can't move from This Masterpiece.
I was there, and man how I loved it, you can see me at the front of the crowd lol, was one of the best times of my life
Glastonbury brings the best out of every band, they nailed it!
2024 and I still like the song
Glastonbury always has the best shows, and the best crowds love seeing them on Paladia. Especially this performance it would totally be an unforgettable moment
My 2020 year end new year eve playlist. Hope 2021 is better.
Sorry bro, it isn’t that much better.😔
I’m so glad I watched this. their performance was awesome and mind-melting in the best way possible
During that time I was 14, now I'm 24, time flies and it's sad 😢
This song is now 15 years old.
The melody is awesome, absolutely iconic and on it's own it is so catchy.. but the bass coming in at 0:30 just sends it into overdrive.. memories of school and college come flooding back at the first note.. amazing.
Imagine being here not knowin whos playin or anything and this banger comes on
That's the best thing about Glastonbury. Get out and see what you mightn't otherwise go to.
i cant imagine the feeling of having thousands of people in front of you who love your music and are having the time of their life thanks to you
So many artists want to make hit songs, whereas mgmt did it for a troll. They are pure magic.
0:31 I love the smile on his face as the crowd begins singing along to it
Thats a tune .
I'm so nostalgic right now. I think it was this performance or maybe another that I had gotten several viruses on my computer trying to find any site that was live streaming it. What a simpler time. This is the song of my youth.
As a fan of all, and I mean all, MGMT's stuff I get a bit annoyed by some so-called fans hating on this track, and the other two "hits". They are brilliant in their own right and the contrast between this and something like A Good Sadness, for example, is why I love this band - they do various musical styles so well and I'm sure if they had a mind to they could easily put out another album like OS. But they do what feels right at the time which is what all good bands do.
'so-called fans' hate the track because MGMT themselves said they hate the track
Never heard anyone hate on them
Rachel Fildes sweet mate
In all honesty they probably wouldn't be listening to MGMT if they hadn't heard the 3 hits. It's kind of like required reading
@@rorykillian749 Ye I never would've gotten into them without kids and electric feel. Nowadays neither are in my favourite songs by them but it's dumb to hate on the songs
6:52 where the fuck let the microphone LOL haha. Great concert!
Facha255 "[Panic] Oh, here it is!"
wow, I had no idea they could jam like this, I mean sure a lot of music/songs are created out of pure improvising, but this is great!
+Ronni Windhorst this isnt improv
I never said this was improv, derp.....
+abels121 He said that a lot of their music is written by them improvising (which is probably true), not that this performance was at all improvised.
Although I would be very inclined to believe that although they planned that break section, there were absolutely elements of improv to it
Yeah jamming is a lot of improvisation @@milestag1857
When I see all those people together enjoying music and having fun, it makes me wanna cry. Imagine the feeling of getting to do that as a job!
and barely a smartphone in sight
That synth riff is peak music.
This was one of the first songs I listened to when I got out of the hospital in 2013. I had gone in with acute pancreatitis and almost died of ARDS and stayed in hospital over a month. I cried and cried. Crazy times.
This song and time to pretend.💜
Makes me feel alive!!!❤
Glad you made it bud. ❤️
❤️life
I am so happy to be alive at the same time as MGMT
Was 2014 the pinnacle of humanity? If it was, it was a good year.
Wouldn’t mind reliving this
Looks like a blast
This is one of the best MGMT performances ever!!!!
Crowd are amazing
Quem em 2021?
Greetings from Brazil everyone!!!
Look at all those people going beserk! what an amazing crowd!
And I still love this album! I literally played it to pieces :D
Literally? Pics of the pieces or didn't happen
I didn't know the translation in the netherlands it's "turning it gray". Meaning you play it so much the record wears off and starts skipping over. You can do it with a cd, just play it reeeeeeally often ^_^
Haha. Got it. I don't know tge expression either. English is not my first language too ^.^
everyone is on drugs when it gets to mgmt u know
***** yum drugs
Watching during quarantine
Yes (?)
Glastonbury is set in the beautiful English countryside. It’s truly a magical place
I miss live music
0:31 ... He's like: They love that shit xD
i feel so meh because i know that they don't really like to play this song anymore and rather ridicule these people that are like WOAH KIDSSS but then again which band doesn't think like that about their biggest hit
Most bands 😂😂😂 kinda shitty on their part for ridiculing fans for enjoying one of their songs. I'm sure many of their fans got into MGMT via songs like Kids.
(I'm also just now realizing I'm replying to a 4 year old comment... Hi 😂)
lol what a coincidence im here a day later
I got into them though electric feels?
Caren Badtke the killers definitely don’t feel that way, they look like they love every one of songs and have a blast playing live
@@huhhuh364 I was gonna say The Killers too. They know fans pay good money to watch them play their popular hits and they don't shy away from playing them.
Glastonbury. There is nothing else like it on earth.
The music during the chorus makes me tear up for no reason
I wish we knew we were having the best days of our lifes before they were behind us.
this song invokes something inside my heart and makes me feel melancholy and that i want to curl up for hours, but it also makes me feel like a free spirit who wants to ditch everything and escape with a partner, i love this song so much.
I feel the same say. And to think they made this album as a prank to make fun of pop music. Ironic.
This is just PURE. FUCKING. SOLID. GOLD
This song brings back too much nostalgia
There's not a single swearing or childish fight in the top few comments, just praises and respect for each other's opinions... Just goes to show what kind of mature, awesome people listen to MGMT :)
Yeah :)
Thinking about the gold old fifa days
Instantly transports me back to summer 08
mgmt feels like it’s on a journey of its own and while you miss certain spots you gotta reflect and realize they’re going to find that magic again, you just need to wait
Top 10 songs ever made hands down..
100% Agree
omg earing the song beggginnnninng give me chills '
2021 and who is watching this gold
I was there ...i loved the drum break in the middle...the atmosphere was intense
Whoa, that crowd was lit
The crowds at Glastonbury are always so fantastic! It's just enough energy to enhance a performance but not enough to overpower it.
this concert was one of the best times of my life, I wish BBC would publish 'Time to pretend' - that was just NUTS
I love these people, no cell phones, only feeling the song.
Awesome live version!
love the live music mixing
This performance is insanely good.
Will always remember seeing them live in Toronto circa 2008. Andrew and Ben just giggling and running around on stage during this song.
that lil smile at the begining like hes sooo excited that so many people can sing along.
Before everyone felt the need to film shows. The old days - I never thought I'd pine for them so much.
Literally the first song I ever heard.
I was 5 when this fire came out. Loved it sooo much and still.
But when I'm older now. It's my favorite stoned band. While I'm stoned it's my favorite band to listen too.
But when I'm sober it's also my favorite band. Such a underrated band
love the disco biscuits jam in the middle
Unbelievably good...
the songs remind me of my childhood even though i’m still in it
THE SECOND THEY RELEASE YHE NEW ALBUM ILL BE AT EVERY TOUR DATE TEST ME
See you there
See you there
saint molly lies
That intermezzo is something else ... .
This song makes me cry so much idk why
They're improvisation is the best. Love it when they do that.
Luka Modric on the keyboard! A great footballer as well as a great musician !
Setlist taped to the back is a nice touch.
This is so far the best live performance of "Kids".
This song makes me so nostalgic
Went into my 1st high school party….. shit was crazy and still to my 30s reminds me of the cool
Times. 🎉
Sad I started listening to MGMT only 2 weeks ago, I missed the chance to go mad at a concert like this. You guys who were there are lucky 😭
This is so much better than their 2010 performance.
+Craig Johnston He has a great voice. I don't think he really cares much anymore.
+Craig Johnston an*
+Craig Johnston That explains why he has played/sung in glastonbury..thats cool
+Ed Mundo i agree
+Craig Johnston whut i thought he sounded best here even better than the studio version.
the homie just introduced me to them & i am obsessed 🫶🏽🫶🏽
Best kids performance because of that middle part
Beautiful: true music and no one with a smartphone in the hands.
Every now and then I come back to watch this. The thought of how this would’ve felt is sometimes enough to comfort me lol 😭
I’ve not had enough drugs to appreciate this tonight
We, as a species, peaked during that interlude
Such an underrated performance. I'm in awe
6:52 the moment that he forgot to hold his mic lol
Excellent version
this would be so surreal to experience live
