- Spend the day with me at the Springfield, Ohio Wild Horse & Burro adoption event!. This event was a pick up site for the January Online Corral (an online auction) and also had about 29 horses available for adoption. One of my favorite things while going is seeing the personalities of the horses - I hope you are able to see them too! While I was there, I was looking for a few horses from the January online corral. I found a very special one - a curly! hope you enjoy!
See the initial walk through of all the horses at this event here:

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING A WILD MUSTANG SOMEDAY??
..I HIGHLY recommend you watch/listen to these following videos. While these may not be the most exciting videos, these are ones you need to see if you are indeed serious about adopting.
1.) • Could bodywork be used... - this is a longer video, but worth the listen. Here I interviewed the bodyworker, Jim Masterson. He is known worldwide and is the founder of the Masterson Method, which is an integrative form of bodywork. Here he shares valuable insights that I believe every adopter needs to hear!
2.) • ARE YOU READY FOR A WI... - before you adopt, it is so important to consider if you are actually ready to take on a wild mustang.
3.) • BLM Mustang Adoption E... - this is another adoption event in New Hampshire, but in it is a TON OF INFORMATION on mustangs. A good starting point.

My name is Britta and this is my experience as an everyday person learning how to train mustangs. ✨WAYS TO SUPPORT MY CHANNEL ✨
It takes a lot for me to keep making videos. I'm completely self funded, and your support is a HUGE help and encouragement to me! Here are some ideas to help keep my channel running!
1. My Amazon wishlist: www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls...
2. “Buy me a Hay Bale” - www.buymeacoffee.com/pemustangs - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
I adopted the "grey" gelding that makes appearances at 10:50 and 12:46. As he's shedding out I think he's actually a roan! I named him Nevada Silver Rush. We're calling him Nevada around the barn. At home in Germantown, Ohio, he met his new sister, a mustang I adopted in 2022, and his new cousin, my sister's quarter horse. My sister and I also make a very brief appearance at 9:35 😂
i love that the adopters are popping up in the comment section, that's so nice 💖 he was a super striking grey. also, loved your cameo 😂
Oh that’s awesome! Thanks for sharing ❤ 12:44 must have been when he was sorted to go home with you?
he was also in my walk through video too- he’s beautiful and seemed to have a pretty quiet mind too! You picked a good one! I love that about his “sister” and “cousin”😂😂
You picked a beauty.
Congratulations 🎉
My grandpa loved Grey horses I love them all❤
I am in love with Snooze
I like it when people adopt a couple at a time. I at least hope the horses have other horses where they are going.
Temporarily naming them was helpful in following the process of loading, etc. Nice Mustangs! The double-branded big mare, Frosty, and Snooze were gorgeous. My pick would have been 'Boopers''. Just because. I would have named him 'Galahad'.
Please rescue them 🙏 angel all beautiful horses 🐎 life's matters 🐎 ❤️ 😊life's matter angels God bless 🙌 🙏
i loved your names 😂😂😂 Sugar and Spice were particularly clever imo! Sugar would be such a cute permanent name for that horse I think, she looks really sweet. If only those two could've gone together 🥺 do you know if that would be particularly difficult, having two mustangs to train at the same time? Seems like it would take a lot. Also you never know who your horse's bestie is in the pens, that's the sad part!
The one you named Lilly I was able to find out where she went actually!!! She was picked up right after I picked up Boaz!! The lady was very nice😁❤️ my mom was a fan of her so we where both very happy to see she was picked up right after my guy❤️
I also wanted to add that I and the owner of Boaz and I’m trying my best to track his training on my UA-cam channel!! (MnM Horsemanship) so if you would like to see that I posted first touch’s, taking off the tag, haltering, leading, etc!! We also had our first ever snuggle lay down time on resurrection Sunday day (Easter) which was incredible❤️✝️😍
oh good! I really liked her!!!
@@TheProjectEquestrian I did too😁❤️ she was very sweet!!❤️
Cool! Congratulations on your adoption and thanks for sharing your journey. :)
@@imzadi83fanvids7 thank you!!! And your welcome I’m very happy to share about this wonderful mustang!!
I just subbed to your channel. Mustangs are amazing! How do Mustangs do with domestic horses? I have 3 horses and wonder how they would fit in. Best wishes to you and your new Mustang.
I'd love it if people adopted 2 together !
I had one dream about petting a horse and now I can't stop watching videos like this
It's so lovely to see the footage of the Curly Mustang. In the curly community people talk a lot about Curlies from Fish Creek, and also from Salt Wells. I didn't know they existed in... I think you said Black Rock? That bay Curly was so handsome.
It's so helpful that you named the horses throughout the video. If anything do that more please! There's was a cute chestnut in there that I wish I could identify, but i don't think you ever id'd it. I'm sure you can't get them all, but I love that you named so many of them.
Thanks for the feedback! I wasn't sure if it would be well received or just super cheesy and obnoxious! I know I've done past videos were I have referred to horses as "the horse that was scratching an itch" or the "horse that was laying down at minute 3",😂 I didn't like that so figured I'd try names!
and yes, this one was from Black Rock! I think the one in the current IA is also from Black Rock
Those curly are crazy. I have never seen one of those. I’ve heard about it but never seen one. That’s very interesting. It’ll be fun to have one.
Amazing, never seen a curly before.
Love from Germany.
Es gibt einen Curly Horse Züchter im Rheinland, da kannst du sie dir sogar persönlich ansehen. Hab das mal für eine Bekannte mit Pferdehaarallergie raus gesucht, Curlys sollen Allergiefreundlich sein.
They are so special, beautiful and awesome. Hope they end up at loving and caring homes under the care if good people. Lots of love❤
That big bay looked like she walked out of a fancy stall into a wild life. 😊
They are all beautiful, praying they all get loving homes.
This is so cool, thanks for sharing, I saw your latest video and had to watch more! Wild Mustangs are so beautiful, and all so different. I got to see them running on a hill top by Fernley Nevada once and it was so cool. My Aunt had adopted one many years ago, he was named Nevada, he was beautiful. This is probably the only time I will see a curley in my life time, how amazing. Once again thanks for sharing.
I think i just fell in love with snooze
The fun colored yearling you glanced across at 5:49 was adopted by a family I know. They named her Cora.
Great job…. As usual🍀🇺🇸
Smiles!! I love you Smiles
Ok I love Snooze too!! Such a sweetie!!
I love all the mustang I love the dark drown horse with black main and tail
First! I love your videos so much!!
Me too love the Mustang Auctions I attend the Michigan one just to look
Beautiful horses ❤
How was that cremello gelding not adopted straight away 🤯 Absolutely gorgeous 28:05
Love your vlogs
do you know if snooze found a home? He seems so chill. we currently have a mustang that just turned 8 and a Chincoteague foal along with 2 other horses here. he just caught my heart!
Thanks!
Love it all
❤❤
Springfield Ohio is where I picked up my online Auction Mustang his name is Tahoe Kamali, Kamali, which means Spirit Guide Tahoe because that's my favorite vehicle and it sounds Indian to me. I live in Michigan, and My Mustang is a gelding 3yr old I won him he was 10 months old when I picked him up in March he was born in the wild I have many pictures of him being just born as well up till capture he is from Onaqui Utah he is a tri colored pinto and he is in your pocket now I adore him and glad summer is finally around the corner.
oh that's so cool to have one from Onaqui! I love that!
Tahoe is an adaptation of a Washoe indian word meaning the lake.
didn't adopt any but i think boopers is right on, it's just as cute as he is.
Excellent thank you so much
you are welcome!
I would give Smiley a chance.
Why remove the rare Curlies and their DNA from the land? I’m glad this kind lady appreciates them!
I wonder how many are twins almost like the two white ones could possibly be twins and sugar and spice as well, being they were so well bonded with each other
From the uk. No wild mustang here. Do people pay to adopt these horses and if so, typically how much?
Check her older videos, she shows the bidding/purchase process there.
The sale ones that have been offered three times or more are $25 dollars to approved homes
The ones that are auctioned off are various prices depending on other bids and aren't owned until after a year.
Sale authority horses are $25
@@blessedfire365xgf thank you
Beautiful Mustangs! How do they fit in with domestic horses? I have 3 horses but would love to adopt a Mustang.
From other people I know it just depends on the horse each are different
@blessedfire365xgf I need to just go to an adoption event to learn more about Mustangs.
So neat just watching them, though I worry about their stress I know it goes with the territory. Is there ever a need for vet care at these events, and would a vet be present?
Yea, things like long distance hauls are stressful, even for a domesticated horse. I intended on mentioning how increased stress puts them at increased risk of things like ulcers(which can certainly effect training), but sometimes in get lost in the thick of editing…
@@TheProjectEquestrian oh we learn so much here anyways, and your videos are more focused on the positive, what’s next for these equine citizens unlucky enough to be rounded up ;) the more positive information available about mustangs, the less they need to linger in holding pens. I hope to travel to see some horses in the wild. I need to make it a goal. Thank you for your response!
@Groundedsquirrel I'm blessed my aunt lives in Reno...I've been able to witness them in the wild and literally in the front yard. As a horse person my whole life, this is Def a great feeling and you just sit back and relax and watch them play, relax, and take a nap under the big shade tree in the yard.. amazing beautiful thing! Yes u must experience this!😍🥰
@@Twisted.Ginger that’s incredible! I have a friend who lives not far from Reno. I visited her there once very briefly. we stopped at Virginia City on the way to her place from Lake Tahoe. There was a trailer in Virginia city that had a nonprofit shop raising money for the wild horses. I was really enjoying being in there. They were playing some ragtime piano music, and it turned out to be a local artist. I bought two CDs. It was good to know the money would help the horses. But during that brief time, I didn’t make a point to try to see, wild horses, didn’t even occur to me.what you’ve written here makes me think I need to plan another trip out there! I will ask her if she ever sees them. I don’t think she’s a horsey person.
You didn't film any pick-ups in Ohio in March 2022, did you?
New here. …… but from what I understand your not buying but just looking after them at your ranch? Then look for a good home?
Can it like get the horse to other country cuz i was in philippines
But i like kiger mustangs
I bet Sugar and Spice are sisters.
How much are they?
$25 for ones that have been offered several times before to approved hones
Some are $125 and up to approved homes
@@blessedfire365xgf My friend has 88 acres with a fresh stream running through the pasture. I'm sure that they would approve
Why do they catch these wild horses? They should live in the wild
I adopted my wild-caught Mustang mare, as a 2yo, 16yrs ago. She will be 18. I used to wonder the same thing. Then I learned that my Mustang's HMA had an emergency round-up in 2015, because the horses were so emaciated. It was awful. I saw the pics...sat at my computer sobbing. All the locals, along with the off-roaders (as Wheeler Pass, NV is a huge off road area), were calling the BLM to DO something. Out of the 127 horses rounded up, 27 had to be put down, because they were so bad off. That's when I realized I gave my mare the best home she could have. Smartest mare I've ever owned. She was my daughter's and protected her on many a trail ride. Then my daughter turned 20, and horses weren't her thing anymore...so she became mine, because I have been a horse nut since I was 8yo. Bought my first horse at 16yo...and I just turned 70. The BLM did another gather from that HMA in 2017, luckily, with no horses having to be put down. The BLM is trying to manage these herds best they can. Mustangs breed like rabbits. Some of these mares are bred before they are 2 years old. It's not a beautiful life in the wild, rather they are surviving in the wild....and the wild isn't always as romantic as everyone thinks it is. The BLM has tried moving some of the herds to better areas, but they end up right back where they came from. That's just horses. If they do not "manage" the herds, they will starve. Starving, or being eaten alive, isn't the best way to die. They can geld the stallions, but ONE stallion can impregnate a LOT of mares. They've tried spaying the mares, but that takes a LOT of time, and then the mares really cannot be put back into the wild. There are no easy answers, unless you have one?
What I AM against is all the breeding of domestic horses, when there are 50,000 Mustangs who need good homes....and they have proven to excel at so many equine disciplines. Of course, I feel the same about the dog world. I will always adopt first.
Technically, they are feral horses, not true "wild" horses. A majority of the places that they live on the range in the UScannot support the continued expansion of the feral population. Without removing many of them, quite a few would just starve to death.
Birth control dugs work fine
@@ChicagoMel23 how would one give these to wild/feral horses though in the right doses.
Like your little squeaky voice
