Very stressful for them, I hope that the adopters take the time necessary to let them feel comfortable before they start to train them, i love the Mustangs, the real symbol of freedom is when you can see them on the range .
I am interested in adopting a beautiful mustang to give them a great home full of love and care. I’m learning about the process and how to get them trained on your channel. Thank you for sharing this helpful information
So many lose their li in the round ups its very sad. Thankfully these beauties will find loving and caring homes. They are on my bucket list, adopt one or two of them.
Thanks again for bringing this event to us, Britta. Non-horsewoman here, but mustang-curious and partial to the dark bay or black ones, also hoping to hear more about beauties like 1975 and 3792 later. As for pairs like these 16:43, it'd be a shame to separate them, but does keeping them together help or hinder their ability to bond w/others or in training? Again, knowing far more about shelter dogs than BLM adoption horses as I do, I'd probably go for the leftovers myself, but what do I know. All are beautiful, though. 😉💕🐴
Interesting! I found your channel a few weeks ago, thanks for showing us non-horse people how these sales go! My grandpatents had 2 pasture ponies we'd ride once in a while on a blanket. I've done some equine rehab through the veterans center at ac rescue down in Heinsburgh- before COVID hit. Best wishes from down the road in Burlington!
I feel bad for these animals. Running Free and then.rounded up, held in holding pens and then bid on, like their lives are not their own. Hopefully they will go to good home's 🙂
The blm doesn’t have much space for these wild horses to be in, they’re basically over populated in the wild and eating and killing all the vegetation for other wild animals and if that gets out of hand it could end up killing off other animal species in the area if that makes sense. It’s better for both the horses and other animals and some people get to take home they’re dream horse.
It’s not the wild horses that are overgrazing public land. It’s privately owned cattle & sheep. For every wild horse there are 125 cattle according to the latest PEER report. Plus cattle are way more destructive to the native plants & grasses than the horses. To protect the public land the privately held livestock needs to be removed. Make the cattle ranchers keep their herds on their own land.
Population is controlled by the number of fertile females. Lots of fertile females usually means population increases. Reduce the number of fertile females & population declines. One stallion could breed hundreds of mares so gelding a few won’t make a noticeable difference. Take 11 stallions & 11 mares & put them on 2 islands. The first island has 10 stallions & one mare. The second island has 10 mares & one stallion. In 5 yrs, with good conditions, the first island would have 5 more horses while the second would have 50. But again the horses are not the problem. It’s the 1.5 million head of privately owned cattle on public land that destroying the ecosystems. And their doing it while being subsidized by American taxpayers since the ranchers who own the cattle pay just pennies per head per day. It costs a rancher just $1.35 per month for a cow & calf while it costs the American taxpayer over a $120 million each year to subsidize it. Ranchers either need to pay a whole lot more to cover entire cost or get their livestock off public land.
I want to have some land so i can rescue some horses. I really want some USFS Devil's Garden Modoc stock. I'm closest to the Ewing, IL holding facility, so when I'm able, I'm going to get my 'stangs. I'd love to get a blue roan, but I'll be pleased with a soft eyed calm baby. 4366 & his penmate are a gorgeous matched pair.
REALLY well done video. So interesting to see it all in action and how quiet and calm the BLM workers are in motion. You do such a great service helping get mustangs into homes.
These poor horses are soo scared! It just breaks my heart😢 They don't understand, how many times do they have to go thru this process before being sold? 💔❤️🐎❤️
I really hate seeing these mustangs put through so much stress. They just don’t know what is happening. My goal with my horses was to keep life as calm as possible. Since horses are a prey animal stress can really affect their health.
I’m happy that so many folks are seeing the value in training up these lovely mustangs.

I sure hope that these gorgeous beauties get great homes with lots of love and care! ❤ 🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
So manny gorgeous horses!
So fun to watch! Thanks for posting.😊
Hey heyyy girl! Next time you are in Florida let me know! We aren’t far from Ocala, and you can come meet my Mustang 🥰🥰 he’s an Onaqui boy 🩷✌🏼
May I ask what is an Onaqui ? No shade whatsoever- I’m just wondering !
@@leanneadams2549 it’s the name of a land range with wild horses!
I'm also in FL. On a farm up in the Panhandle area.

Ugh I want to donate WD40 for the gates! Lol. I feel for these horses. Neat video again, thank you!
I felt those creaks in my bones.
I saw alot of potential in some of those horses! Each of them are special, but some of them, wow!
All are special.
The big bay mare 1975 ended up coming to me in February. Things didn’t work out with her original adopter. I love her so much she’s wonderful!
Oh wow!!! You got lucky then!! I didn’t have to look to see which horse was 1975- She was quite memorable 💜 enjoy your fancy girl!
Thank you for filming the pickup event.
I have spent many days online "window shopping".
And wondered how the process worked out.
🐎✌️🤠

Nice pickup facility! Clean and well organized.
So great to see so many being adopted. Thanks for the video!
I love watching all the horses. 🐴 ❤️
We adopted 2311 (the dapple gray) and will be sharing his journey on our channel!
It was really nice to meet you there 😊
A lot of nice horses. I had my eye on the big, bay mare too. Love the way those guys maneuver the gates. It’s almost an art.
Nice video - Thank you for sharing

It's likely that the sorrels aren't truly bonded, they just stuck together because it's a stressful situation and company makes it better
@@Polopony20. Oops, sorry. No matter, but I guess these two are grey, not sorrel.
I grew up going to this very pen, I hope they all find good homes.

Oh awesome! Always nice to see a fellow Vermonter here! 😁
Wow that one in 8 pen so cute

@@learobinson4450 I think gelding the stallions would take care of some of the over population

It's better than dying in the wild because of overpopulation and stuff
Good luck girl

First time I have seen how they get them separated. Interesting.
Were you on vacation, or in Ocala to get a horse? I am in N FL. Wish I had known about this sale.
I wish I could help them and have a place for some
Very sad indeed love them alllll❤❤❤❤❤❤
Also man do they take off when they run!
Hope to see 1975 in the new classic. Cool to see her before and after.
That will be cool.
How much are they? Are they auctioned off?😊
Love the horse getting a roll in now that all their pen mates are gone.
Yeah and that bay. Wow look at that conformation.
Nice that some are already adopted
🎉😮❤

A question for you:
Are Canadian residents eligible to adopt horses at BLM facilities in the US?
Where are you in Florida?
18:50 I like this one

There will come a time not so far from now when the animals of this earth will be free to roam again.
No replay
God help all farmers, mustangs and ranchers
They need to get somebody to go around and oil those gates. All that screeching just makes things worse.
we have a BLM mustang lesson horse at the riding club i belong to:) he is so adorable & feisty!
What a terrible sound from the doors during the sorting. The horses are super stressed from that door noise. Sounds like in a horror movie!
WD40 those metal hinges!!!
So painful to watch Wild Horses loosing their spirits and theirs freedoms.... couldn't watch the video until the end !!
I didn[t see any food or water on that truck.
Unhandled wild horses usually end badly and neglected by people with no experience.
So sad they get split up from there pack
They are so scared
Я дякую народу і уряду США за поміч Україні
Слава Україні!!! Героям Слава!!
What beautiful horses 😊
