That guy was so cool in this situation and that cop pissed me off so bad. Imagine if the guy was that rude he would have been in cuffs with bs charges. Those cops are very rude and corrupt.
"You thought that about police officers because you watch the news, I get it" Yeah, now he can say he say he knows them from first hand knowledge. And by the way, MSM worships cops boots, and they are still out there trying to blame their sociopathy, and incompetency, and corruption on them. Literally never once in my life seen a major news channel cover civil forfeiture, cover the prison industrial system, the court corruptions, the evils of the drug war, they once a year cover a case like George Floyd who was strangled to death on camera for 10 minutes, and they craft the narrative in the best light they can possible get away with while still ignoring all other 80,000 police abuse cases going on that day, and they are STILL seen as "anti-cop". Gee, those oligarchs who own all the MSM outlets, politicians, and police forces, sure do hate all those things don't they? Weird how that works, that MSM "hates" their symbiotic relationship with cops. It's almost like, when a used car salesman tells you the Ford Civic is a beater that was none for being unreliable, but a Camaro never lets you down, he might be doing it to sell you some B.S. TLDR: Guy is a BAMF, wasn't intimidated by the officers tantrum. And enough with the American propaganda machine. I'm tried of watching my countryman abused, and confused on who to even blame.
Just listening to this POS PIG THREATENING THIS GOOD MAN IS SICKENING AND MAKES US WANT TO DO TO HIM WHAT HIS ASSOCIATE THUGS DID TO THAT LADY... karma should get these bastards...a good car crash...and rid the world of these scumbags and varmint...!
Naw, that's what sadistic bullies who don't face accountability expect. He thinks that just because she "committed a crime", any force to apprehend her is excusable. Children outgrow such remedial morality.
All police should take out and pay for their own public liability insurance. This insurance should be setup through the police retirement fund and cover any lawsuits along with all lawyer fees and any court costs. Officers premiums would be deducted from their wages every week and paid directly into the police retirement fund. A system like this is a win for all the officers the taxpayer the citizens and the courts alike the only downside is when a lawsuit is filed and is successful any compensation to be paid over $25.000 would come straight out of the police retirement fund if the officer that was sued couldn't come up with money under $25.00 then that would be paid out of the police retirement fund then that officers wage would be garnished every week until the money lost to the lawsuit was paid back. Let's saying an officer was sued for $1,000000 its his 1st strike or his 3rd and he is fired any job he undertakes after being fired that wage he receives will be garnished and put back into the police retirement fund until every cent is paid back Any lawsuits filed should be investigated by a team of retired lawyers picked from cities outside the jurisdiction to where the incident took place. This team of retired lawyers investigates and determines if there's grounds to lay charges not I.A.D nor members of a police force if they find that there's enough evidence for charges to be laid they have their own foot soldiers to preform the arrests bring these officers it to be formally charged, detained, bailed or released to appear. All discovery is handed to both parties. All trials are jury trials. All juries are picked from another jurisdiction, county or city. This public liability insurance would be a 3 strike policy meaning if you have had any more than 3 claims where your found guilty your fired your police credentials are taken from you your put on a list banning you from ever holding any type of job where you have authority over the public ever again. If an officer is successfully sued they pay the first $25.00 excess out of their own pocket. Just think of the savings to the tax payer there'd be far less complaints from citizens of police violating their rights because officers as police wouldn't risk doing anything to cause a lawsuit and a possible lose of money from the police retirement fund you would see police brushing up on the laws and being sure that they have all the facts and the evidence before making an arrest because if their sued its every officers money their losing. If a system like this was introduced you would never see another officer stand back while officers like DEREK CHAUVIN are kneeling on a citizens neck or one officers ego calling the shots if one officer cant be trusted to do the right make the right decisions then let it fall to all the officers on scene then if the first officer on scene gives false or misleading to those officers that arrive on scene after the fact then im sure those officers will deal with that officer for misleading them if all officers cant agree to arrest on the information before them call the DA. If a policy like this was introduced never again will there be another GEORGE FLOYD'S incident there's no better way of keeping police honest and policing themselves when 1 officers mistake will affect them all in the hip pocket rouge officers that want to keep violating citizens will be quickly educated by fellow officers those that still dont want to follow the law will be bullied out of the force or und up being shot in the back by an unknown assailant because no officer wants to lose money out of their own pocket. We can all dream too
Listening to the Sergeant make his little temper tantrum to the concerned citizen about how he "has a complete mistrust of the police because he watches the news", is the most ironic way to prove people should have a mistrust of the police, with the news or not. He is part of the problem.
What’s funny is what the douche canoe said to the concerned citizen, is the same that could be told to him. Since the Sgt didn’t see how it went down !!
Yes a felony, he should be in jail, his personal assets confiscated to compensate, not crooked cops who use confiscation to line their own govt dept pockets, but their victims.
No kidding, damn that cop he felt with, jeez. The cop he had to deal with... Well I'm sure you don't trust cops because of what you are on tv!!! No shiet
Yes and all the officer did was to threaten him and try to diminish his concerns with his posturing examples. The cop was more concerned with up holding the police action than considering the validity of the eye witness.
@@webyankee6558 That's the most sickening thing about the whole thing; Guy has more integrity in his pinky finger, than every cop involved...Those THUGS deserve ZERO RESPECT! I've met attack dogs with more restraint!!
Wow. It's disgusting how the cop says that the witness has a negative opinion of the police because he watches the news. The saddest part is that the witness says it's because of what has happened to him with police. The problem is so widespread. Smh
There needs to be a system put into place that makes what he did impossible. They have nothing to fear about transparency of they aren't doing anything wrong.
@@onradioactivewaves the thing is, officers have to categorize incidents themselves, so therefore they have to have the ability to edit how they are categorized, or any mistyped number, letter etc wouldn't be able to be changed. Love the witness intimidation on top of the sadism . I would have also awarded the Latin guy $100,000 for showing us all how a real concerned citizen should act. Good on you dude.
Talking over him, belittling his perspective, saying “I appreciate your concern” while waiving his hand in the guy’s face like some kind of defense mechanism against critique, then insinuating that the guy is interfering. The officer had no empathy in this situation and was completely gone deaf. Lack of accountability; corruption; unnecessary use of force; truly a sad crop of rotten apples.
That is exactly what I kept thinking, but the officer implies that if the arrest is valid then any amount of force is also valid. He made me just as sick as the officers that attacked her.
this is why they say to never talk to the police they're not interested in whatever your concern is . they are concerned Why you are concerned about them
The Latino guy surely is brave. He stood his ground and wasn’t scared of a pig threatening him with very thinly veiled threats. Metzler needs to wear an orange jumpsuit and put in population. It will suit him well.
a lot of people Miss what that officer was doing he was intentionally threatening this Man's family and by using subversive words that saying and warning him that he ever crosses his path again his family will be the ones who will suffer and he was happily giving out threats that his family would suffer if he said or did anything about it. the interesting thing is every time you file a complaint with the police they look you up in their system and it's been shown as a known fact that Police use their own database to look your information up and see what they can dig up on you and then further try to do something to make your life miserable if you say anything.
@@Boosted9946 in the Navy we have a saying: " pick your rate, pick your fate" when I was working with the police on base and I also had to do the Justice portion of it where we did traffic court and you know what I really didn't like the job in fact I hated it. the only thing that made me actually sleep at night was that all the tickets that were issued were only four on base. so it didn't impact your license in the civilian government world excetera. it was the last post I had before I exited the military. most of the police were actually really great that were in uniform but the civilian ones were some of the most shitbag people I've ever met in my life. routinely the military personnel would catch these guys doing all sorts of illegal things on base especially looking up people's records that they were not supposed to. the CO of the base had a audit done and after that audit was completed most of the civilian police were either reassigned or outright fired. this came about when supposedly again this is what I heard from somebody else that one of the civilian cops or looking up information on the women on Vegas and one of those women ended up belonging to the commanding officer of the base... thankfully there were some former Navy guys and marines that were also civilian police because that was their retirement job that they got out of the military and blew the whistle on this but let me tell you something it wasn't easy for these guys. thankfully those sort of little tactics don't work so well when you know people inside the military especially higher up in the chain of command and it was taken care of quickly but a kind of Moaning in the bitching that came from these civilian officers was absolutely outstanding. most of the Masters of arms who were trained in law enforcement try to get jobs out in town with the regular police and they would almost never get hired one of the reasons being is that they simply wouldn't fit in with regular police work and the culture of civilian police stations. that should tell you all you need to know about corruption of the civilian police

Who gives a shit what crime this old lady commited, that is irrelevant. Its the action that took place, old lady walking. office throwing her to ground. Thats what matters....not anything before that. BIG props to the guy holding his stance with the cop.
"Do you know what crime she committed?!" She shoplifted. No one is arguing whether she did or not it's completely irrelevant. Shoplifting doesn't immediately make it OK to body slam an elderly woman with dementia
That's exactly what I said viewing this. Every excuse he provided had virtually nothing to do with the level of force used by the responding officers. The level of force should meet the level of resistance, and the bystander could clearly see with the naked eye that it was disproportionate. The sergeant wasn't even on the scene, so he is literally giving a more subjective assessment than the person who observed the excessive force.
From what I heard, I don't think she was even trying to shoplift. I think she was just major confused and not very functional. And Screw walmart for calling the cops on a 73 year old dementia patient over less than $15 worth of crap. Anyone listening to her could tell she wasn't all there.
@@janapuckett4118 When it was pointed out to her she forget to pay for her items, she tried to pay, but Walmart wouldn't let her (probably because they had already called the police). "The verbal abuse of the bystander is sickening." Much respect to this concerned and brave bystander. He spoke up even though he had been abused by cops in the past. He refused to back down in the face of this dirty cop's abusive coplaining. Loveland PD is too corrupt to continue to exist because it's a danger to the public and it's a waste of tax dollars. Kudos to Karen Garner's lawyer for continuing to shine a large spotlight on this department's corruption.
Totally agree!! the cop did everything he could to discount and argue against his report. This demonstrates how single minded cops are when performing their duties. This also demonstrates why police who show up on scene well after the altercation has already started, they don't hesitate to jump in and aid the officer with the same level of force, if not to even escalate the level of force. The cop argues, "Usually I would think that the police have a reason to arrest her!" This cop states that the default assumption is to believe the cop and join in....because obviously she's a criminal. These cops performed NO INVESTIGATION and made no attempt to understand the mental of physical condition of the HUMAN BEING they were arresting. To further joke about her mental and physical conditions later was simply despicable.
I support law enforcement in almost every way with the exception of idiot punk cops like these in the videos. They are truly the ones making it harder and harder for honest and decent law enforcement officers that just want to make their town or city a better safer place for everyone to live in.
The Mexican man has so much more character than those cops it ridiculous. The way they tried to shut him down, shame on them. Thank you sir for standing up for what is right and not backing down.

Wow, people don't trust things that have been proven untrustworthy... well that's gotta be a reason to silence them. That's what the cop is thinking in this encounter.
Yes, he absolutely did threaten the witnesses family if he followed through with his visual account of the physical abuse of the 80 pound woman with Alzheimer's and dementia. Such a tough guy, eh? I'll bet his abused wife is proud of her husband.
Would have been more helpful if he had a little more balls to take out his cell phone and record. Get all the cops involved information and submit a complaint. Always record the police.
@@mydaddy5393 The Good Samaritan has had a violent experience already with these thugs. He knows how dangerous they are and he had his family’s safety to consider. If the cops will brutalize a frail, demented 73 yo woman, what might they do to a mother and her children?
The Samaritan and the Sgt had both goods and faults. The Samaritan heckling in on the situation could had putted everyone at risk especially if the old lady was a suicidal knife welding maniac or had a gun. The Sgt explained properly that hindsight is 20/20. The Samaritan wasn't there and don't know what the heck is going on meaning that if a dangerous subject with a firearm was involved with theft at Walmart; the Samaritan could had also been shot by trying to intervene. The Officers who did a take down on the lady did not provide proper aid/medical support for the suspect as per policies which the Sgt didn't enforce. Both parties could learn from each other and to take appropriate steps to improve.

Absolutely the best video you’ve ever done. Publishing the video of the discussion between Sergeant Metzler and the concerned citizen shows us a clear example of the thin blue line. Also publishing the lengths that Sergeant Metzler went to in order to cover up and hide that body camera footage is further evidence of the thin blue line. Brilliant journalism!
I heard a detective call it the Blue Wall. I think that's more accurate than a thin line. He maintained that it is everything that makes it impossible to be a good cop in this country. The Blue Wall.
Well done to the guy that "interjected himself" into the situation. I hope that he's seen the outcome of this and realises that he should stand tall for his actions rather than stay belittled as the Sgt tried to make him feel. What is it about LEOs that they feel the need to always be heard (to hear their side of things), so much that they always cut people off mid-sentence, giving no chance of others side of things. Talk about de-escalate.
Sign of a very small mind. They have no facts or truths to stand on, so they yell scream and refuse to listen to any opposing point of view. They feel their tin badge gives them authority and knowledge they lack.
That guy had every right and the moral authority to question and call out those police officers' actions. Good for him and shame on the arrogant and condescending officer for admonishing him for bullshit reasons and trying to copsplain away his brutal actions. It's up to the courts and the law to decide how to punish someone if they're found guilty. People shouldn't be subject to the arbitrary punishment of extrajudicial beatings and abuse by the police at the time of their arrest. That cop felt like he was entitled to hurt an elderly woman because she was walking away from him. What a twisted and depraved attitude towards the public he has.
The cops are just jealous of the Hispanic dude and his nice RR. He's a hard worker who has EARNED what he has, I'm sure I can't say the same for those low life cops.

Now he knows, the best thing is to record and turn a complaint in and send to the news. The cops won’t be on the citizens or witness side unless it benefits them.
I don't think QI applies in this case, the officer clearly knew what he did was wrong and was actively trying to hide it. But without QI, you can basically say goodbye to the police force.
The thing about it is that these damn cops aren’t human at all and they had their audacity to laugh about them hearing the woman’s arm popping out of her socket when they arrested her the way they did and if they’re not going right straight into hell’s fire then nobody’s going;and the cop was talking to the man who witnessed the cops throwing her to the ground was lying and trying to justify the cops evil spineless actions and I just simply can’t believe but do believe that they reached the pinnacle of this kind of evilness upon that poor old woman and then they lied about it and laughed among themselves feeling great about it;there’s no such damn way that they haven’t bought themselves a one way ticket right straight into hell’s fire.😡😎
Thankfully there were consequences for this. The animal who attacked her has just been sentenced to 5 years in prison for what he did: the woman cop has been charged with failing to intervene and the police dept has been ordered to pay $3million to the victim's family. Psycho won't get to pop any more shoulders in prison. He'll get to spend the next 5 years looking over his shoulder, and probably being turned out, by a prison population full of people who will know he's a former cop.

@@craigsphilippines466 so true. So often they try to justify their actions by bringing up imaginary fear based scenarios that do not apply to the reality of the moment.
THIS, this is exactly what people mean when they say “abuse of power”. Imagine how many times they have done something like this in the past? You know the saying, “it’s not the first time you’ve done this, it’s the first time you got caught”. And police officers try to blame the media for the public not trusting them. Yeah… no. The actual ACTIONS of police officers is why they aren’t trusted. They’ve been doing far worse shit for YEARS, it’s just now that they’re finally receiving any type of actual consequences for their actions because of cameras and those willing to fight for the victims of police brutality (like that lawyer). It also helps the general public when videos like this are made so we are aware of the corruption! Well done!
@@TheChosen1uan True, but no one is “safe” from police power abuse or police brutality. Of course, minorities are an easier target for them, but the shitty corrupt police officers really don’t give a damn what you look like. They’ll abuse every little ounce of power they have when they’re given the chance.
@@OJuggernautO- Exactly! This is where some in minority communities miss the mark. Some are intent on claiming a unique victimhood, rather than using the universality of the problematic a rallying point for EVERYONE to get behind. Instead of the argument In This Day makes, the better argument would be: “See, even a tiny, white grandmother isn’t safe from corrupt police who face little or no accountability.”
@@bradcrosier1332 Haha, I was going to actually add almost verbatim exactly what you said in that initial reply (except for the last part of course, lol). Everyone understands minorities and also poorer people are definitely targeted more. But they tend to miss the underlying point. Yes, of course some of the time it’s just blatant racism. However, the underlying issue is that if they think they can get away with it, it literally does not matter what you your ethnicity is, how old you are, your gender, your nationality, etc. All they care about is whether or not they get caught. That’s where race and class come into play unfortunately. Regardless of all of that, the main thing is they abuse their power against just about every type of person. So when you single out and imply that minorities are the only ones effected, or imply that white people for instance don’t really have to deal with it, not only is that not true, you’re ruining a chance for us all to come together. It shouldn’t be a competition of “who gets mistreated the worst by police”. Because first of all, you’d have to quantify that based on a generality. More importantly, you absolutely SHIFT the focus off the actual problem at hand, and cause infighting, arguments, disagreements, etc that are COMPLETELY unnecessary. We need to come together and be allies on this issue. It demonstrably effects us all. The more numbers we have to combat this (to be clear, not physically “combat”), the better off we will be. The phrase “strength in numbers” absolutely applies here. Sorry for the super long post, if you read this, I appreciate it, lol

Yeah, now he can say he say he knows them from first hand knowledge. Lawsuits against police NEED to come out of their retirement accounts.
WORD!!! AGREE!!
Qualified immunity needs to go away.
Excellent idea. That would make them think twice
Agreed!
Let's saying an officer was sued for $1,000000 its his 1st strike or his 3rd and he is fired any job he undertakes after being fired that wage he receives will be garnished and put back into the police retirement fund until every cent is paid back
Any lawsuits filed should be investigated by a team of retired lawyers picked from cities outside the jurisdiction to where the incident took place.
Just think of the savings to the tax payer there'd be far less complaints from citizens of police violating their rights because officers as police
wouldn't risk doing anything to cause a lawsuit and a possible lose of money from the police retirement fund you would see police brushing up on the laws and being sure that they have all the facts and the evidence before making an arrest because if their sued its every officers money their losing.
If a policy like this was introduced never again will there be another GEORGE FLOYD'S incident there's no better way of keeping police honest and policing themselves when 1 officers mistake will affect them all in the hip pocket rouge officers that want to keep violating citizens will be quickly educated by fellow officers those that still dont want to follow the law will be bullied out of the force or und up being shot in the back by an unknown assailant because no
officer wants to lose money out of their own pocket.
We can all dream too

it was the last post I had before I exited the military.
most of the police were actually really great that were in uniform but the civilian ones were some of the most shitbag people I've ever met in my life.
routinely the military personnel would catch these guys doing all sorts of illegal things on base especially looking up people's records that they were not supposed to.
the CO of the base had a audit done and after that audit was completed most of the civilian police were either reassigned or outright fired.
this came about when supposedly again this is what I heard from somebody else that one of the civilian cops or looking up information on the women on Vegas and one of those women ended up belonging to the commanding officer of the base...
thankfully there were some former Navy guys and marines that were also civilian police because that was their retirement job that they got out of the military and blew the whistle on this but let me tell you something it wasn't easy for these guys.
thankfully those sort of little tactics don't work so well when you know people inside the military especially higher up in the chain of command and it was taken care of quickly but a kind of Moaning in the bitching that came from these civilian officers was absolutely outstanding.
most of the Masters of arms who were trained in law enforcement try to get jobs out in town with the regular police and they would almost never get hired one of the reasons being is that they simply wouldn't fit in with regular police work and the culture of civilian police stations.

Yes, he absolutely did threaten the witnesses family if he followed through with his visual account of the physical abuse of the 80 pound woman with Alzheimer's and dementia. Such a tough guy, eh? I'll bet his abused wife is proud of her husband.
Yes, yes he did.

The Good Samaritan has had a violent experience already with these thugs.
What an unprofessional, condescending, arrogant, tyrannical bully.
It's pretty sickening to see how badass these 2 feel about brutalizing the elderly. It would be like me acting like me thinking I'm worthy to be in the UFC because I can beat up a toddler. Pathetic.
Don't even need the toddler reference. They just beat up old people.
You saying beat up a toddler made me laugh. Lol. Its sad that these people would probably beat up a toddler
"Do you know what crime she committed?"
None. IF she actually committed a crime, that is for a judge and jury to decide not some smart-alecky sargeant.

@@ragtop63 yes and no. The police aren't responsible of determining if someone is guilty, but they do need to determine if Reasonable Articulable Suspicion or Probably Cause of a Crime exists. They are REQUIRED to determine that as part of their jobs to perform an investigative detention or arrest.

Well done to the guy that "interjected himself" into the situation. I hope that he's seen the outcome of this and realises that he should stand tall for his actions rather than stay belittled as the Sgt tried to make him feel. Talk about de-escalate.
Exactly, I really appreciate that guy.
I’m surprised that sergeant didn’t get mad and arrest him for pissing him off.

This is nothing new this.is normal police tactics in most police departments and it will continue because they don't pay out of pocket , I'm surprised no one said like they normally do when it's a minority , well we don't know what happened before he approached her , or she had to do something for that to happen police are here to help not hurt
there are no "Good cops"...they are either outright corrupt OR worse, corrupt in their silence
@@mrichful I was looking for the same type comment. It's always different.
4:45 “Do you know what crime she has committed?” The implication being that she has already been found guilty of a crime by virtue of the fact that an officer contacted her and used enough force to cause grave bodily injury. The entitlement and privilege expressed in that sentence speaks volumes.
What the police don't understand is that it's not their job to mete out punishment or discipline people. That's what the courts are there to do.
@@fosmith61 - I don’t think it’s that they don’t understand, I think it’s just that they don’t care.
She tried to walk out of the store and was stopped. So, she didn't steal anything. The call was she tried to Walk with out paying. But, she took nothing. ALL tyranny must stop
Picture Your Mom going through this with lying cops
How many innocent people are going through this same encounter? Scary
Totally agree!!!
I've been looking forward to your update. I've known from the beginning the Sgt should resign or be fired along with the other 3. This video only strengthems that belief. Wow! The entire department is tainted. I feel sorry for you Loveland, CO! 🎥🚔💪
