- This beautiful and energetic melding of instruments and Gaelic song brilliantly reflects the musicianship, traditional roots and contemporary influences of award-winning Scottish group Breabach. Featuring Calum MacCrimmon (bagpipes, whistle), Megan Henderson (fiddle, vocals), Ewan Robertson (guitar), James Duncan Mackenzie (bagpipes, flute), and James Lindsay (double bass), it was recorded during Celtic Colours International Festival at Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre on October 19, 2019.
Knees Up: Knees Up in Hanoi (Calum MacCrimmon) / Dòchas Glan Na Fàire (Ewen Henderson & Calum MacCrimmon)
Toe tapping! Impossible to sit still with this sonic wall of pure joy!
That bagpipe duet towards the end is pure bliss!! 😍
Megan gets Prettier as time goes by. Great Scottish folk band. Ewan Robertson you are a lucky man.
They are the pride of Scotland - land that I love - proudly cameron
This makes me happy and like I’m home.
One of my favourite songs from them.
Awesome performance. All great musicians, beautiful vocals. Brings a smile to my face and a tear to my eye every time I listen. Thank you for posting, from South Side Chicago.

I was there! A great performance!
Beautiful song and beautiful voice, sung in my Ancestors language ✌🏻👌🏻
I heard them last summer at the Butte America Folk Festival. Incredible musicians!
Never forget, this was 2019! Jesus, what have they done to you for not being able to perform in public for so long. What have they done to us for not being able to experience what belongs on a live stage for so long. If the music wouldn't lift me up at the core of my heart, I'd lift my knees to kick all these [....] in the [....].
All the love from the Netherlands, you got one big fan here! Never forget!
❤️❤️
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️🙏🇮🇹
A fantastic tune played with so much skill and enthusiasm! Really wonderful how Breabach expand this beat to its maximum! And after half the tune it begins to sound a little Coldplay Viva la Vida? Or is it just me?
Huh - yes, I get why you say that about Viva La Vida. And you're right about it being a fantastic tune. So many elements, colours and textures. Absolutely love it.
@@martinryan8101 The Coldplay association comes at 2:40 when Megan on violin plays almost the same theme as in Viva La Vida. But I think this a coincidence. And I love Breabach.
City of Cork Folk festival headliners 1994. i was there
Doubt it, they'd have been about 10 years old.
