I don't how I got recommended this video, the themes I haven't said aloud, but this is EXACTLY what I needed right now! I'm stuck, after a horrible decade of drug addiction, homelessness and abuse, these last 2years has been to just try to climatise back into society, but now I'm lost, I know a routine, and goals would help alot, but I get so overwhelmed before I start..
Your video broke it down so simply, I believe I can work with it, I'm already making plans. So thankyou! There are no coincidences, so I'm glad someone out there is still looking out for me.. 💖

    17:30 Dan's Daily routine:
30-Minute Morning Walk (6 AM): Dan starts his day with a morning walk, listening to podcasts or planning his day. He aims for 15,000 to 20,000 steps daily for its numerous benefits.
90 Minutes of Focused Work: Early in the morning, Dan engages in focused work, writing books, newsletters, and marketing materials. This helps him complete priority tasks early in the day.
Second 30-Minute Walk or Run: Depending on the day, Dan either goes for another walk or runs for 30 minutes, three times a week, for cardio exercise. During walks, he listens to educational materials and notes ideas.
Second 90-Minute Focused Work Block: Post-exercise, Dan focuses on less creative tasks like administrative work or client communication. This time is more prone to open loops and distractions.
Calls or Another Walk: Dan incorporates calls related to his software project, Cortex, into his routine. If not on calls, he goes for another walk.
Gym Session (Around 1-2 PM): His gym session marks the transition from work to rest, usually training every day or three times a week.
Conversational Lunch with Editor: He has a leisurely lunch with his editor to socialize and discuss non-business topics.
Nap, Walk, or Busy Work (3-4 PM): This time is reserved for psychological recovery, involving easy tasks, naps, or walks.
Dinner with Friends or Girlfriend: Evenings are typically for socializing over dinner or relaxing with his girlfriend.

What really struck me about your routine is how completely physically, mentally and psychologically healthy it is - and how completely OPPOSITE of the typical day in a corporate role. I am a recovering corporate worker bee and now I see why I completely burned out, lost relationships and got sick. Plus I wasn't learning, evolving, growing and none of what I was doing was supporting my own personal holistic goal. Thank you for this inspiration!!

Now here's the most beautiful love story: Me and you? Though we have fallen short of the glory of God by comitting just one sin which we deserve death and hell for, the Good News is that God loved us soo much that He, All-Powerful and All-Knowing Spirit came to earth in a human body as Jesus Christ, the fullness of God bodily, to live a perfect life keeping and fulfilling all laws and commandments, not sinning ONCE, and then sacrificing Himself on a cross for YOU! By shedding His Blood, He paid the penalty for your sin so that you could be washed clean from all sins and develop a personal relationship with God and spend eternity together with Him in Heaven. How awesome is that?! That's God's grace. All you have to do to accept His gift of grace is turn away from your sin and believe that Jesus is God, He shed His precious Blood for you and He is risen from the dead, He's in full control of your life that He rules over you. It's not by works or being a good person, it's only by God's grace through faith in Him. Jesus desires a personal relationship with you. Wow that is so incredible! Please turn to Him, He loves you so much and so do I!!

Is there a good video like this on setting boundaries to protect your routine? My life has been taken over, I'm exhausted. My career is gone, my jobs sabotaged, I even managed to get a grant to move to a better place and restart, sabotaged, I'm given no time or money to build the businesses I want, Goal this year is to take it back, I'm burnt out doing everything for everyone. But every boundary I try to set is met with hostility. I typed up a list on things that could be delegated between them and they refused. My dad is on his way out and if I can't get it together, we're all screwed. I'm at a loss here.

Well I am trying to change my life. This process started 2 years ago so far I have met the goals I sent to achieve in those first two years. I think this next part is the probably the hardest because it takes believing in myself completely and not letting my shortcomings deter me from taking steps. I’m trying to change my mind set and focus on the good and work on what’s not there yet. The dream is to achieve my ultimate goal within 5 years so two years down, 3 more to go.
Good luck everyone with whatever you are working on at the moment. You will achieve it if you keep going.

    RE: decline in health:
Tats increase persistent immune response. Immune system exhausts similarly to any other exertion, any other physiological system.
Immune response to dermal intrusions are not directly transferable to specific antigens invading other organs.
Instead, persistent immune response is correlated to overactive response to variations in internal homeostasis - immune response becomes more chaotically autoimmune.
Consider this, as well as understanding that ALL interoceptive response IS cognitive, as it stimulates cognitive attention and response.

Going out to dinner with someone whose company you enjoy is actually a very good activity. It produces meaningful periods of time that are fulfilling rather than just "productive." And dinner with friends satisfies a deep human societal/spiritual need for ceremony. There is a good reason that there is a famous painting about a dinner that happened 2000 years ago.

Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for. Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. This made me remember that Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. "You're not going to remember those expensive shoes you bought ten years ago, but you will remember every single morning when you look at your bank account that extra 0 in there.
Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. I promise, that's going to be way more fun to look at everyday", I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life too.

You got it, you've remind me of what someone once said "The mind is the man, the poor is in it and the rich is it too". This sentence is the secret of most successful investors. I once attended similar and ever since then been waxing strong financially, and i most tell you the truth..investment is the key that can secure your family future.

The idiots who say “oh he does it for the money” are the same people who would do anything for money (you’re exposing your way of thinking) or jealous. Everybody wants money what’s wrong with that? aren’t we watching this to make money in the first place? At least he put himself in the top line where the money actually needs to be invested! In someone like him, him making money through his passion is exactly a proof to you and all of us that we can do this, it’s just a case study to his own message to us! People need to evolve their brain and grow tf up

Good inspiration. Looks a little like my routine patterns. Never rigid. My walks are more like meditative and never with electronics, but allways with an analog notebook. Walks are allways in nature, and often different routes. Getting a little “lost” (in nature) I find refreshing and brain-healthy. Once a month i practice (Norse) “utiseta” sitting (and sometimes walking) all night outside in wilderness/forrest.

I think everyone's journey is different. While I think the four pillars that you mentioned are important, what is going to determine how strong these four pillars will stand will depend on your ability to master self-awareness because only through self-awareness you will be able to answer the most fundamental question there ever is : " What does my ideal life look like ? " Once you are clearly and most certainly able to articulate the answer to this question then you have something you can work towards. Once you know the answer , you will then align yourself your thoughts , actions and behaviors to bring the answer of this question to fruition ...

I feel stuck, I was going to be a rockstar, when I was younger, I was set on making it in music, had no other backups, drug addiction came in young, partied my 20s now I’m in my 30s, seeing everyone around me having careers and family’s. I’m 36, work at a tire shop. I’m stuck and aimless and don’t know how to get unstuck. Yeah I still love music and play regularly, my circle has closed, I’m very isolating with not a lot of friends anymore, my values have changed over the yrs. I really want to have a wife, kids, home, picket fence. It’s hard to explain but the things that I want to do, like rockstar as I was saying earlier. I’m super creative and have always wanted to be a performer of some sort, but I don’t have that “look at me, attention over hear, watch me” mentality, especially on my own. I honestly don’t know where I’m going with this, but I typed it all up so I’m hittin send lol.

None of these daily routine videos apply to people who have families and/or drive to work. I'm interested to see if someone can create (Though im sure someone already has) a daily routine that incorporates the endless daily tasks and chores in the home + commuting to and from a job + spending quality time with family. Not hating on those with no job or family, and also, not complaining about having a job or family. Just curious as to why these daily routine videos are so common on my feed, despite not being applicable by the majority of viewers.

David Whyte is a poet but has written some great reflections on life and I heard him talk to Sam Harris on a podcast. He was talking about time to reflect and plan and strategise and work and so on… but he also said sometimes it’s just about nose to the grindstone (especially with young kids) and making even the smallest plan to take advantage of times that present themselves, to work on whatever your thing is

We all have the same 24hrs to utilise. Get up earlier, use your commute time to expand your mind, go to gym or go for walk during your work lunch break. You have resources your just not using them. And complaining and having a negative mindset will get you nowhere. Do what you’ve always done, and expect the same results you’ve always got.
