That part with Miles and Robert in the apartment building was powerful. It shows how he is lost with no direction and Robert can see the greatness in him that he can't see in himself. He has no male role model. It shows how easy it is for young black boys to lose their way. Makes me tear up everytime I see it.
Yes it is a great reminder that not everybody has somebody to look up to. We all need to do a better job taking care of the youth that had been abandoned.
Another thing was, that Denzel back a few years ago was talking about a young 8 or 10 year old was called Lil yum yum that was a child that was a Lil ganster and was a shooter in the kids neighborhood. A man told this story to Denzel when he was in a taxi. So when he said to miles "do you wanna be a Lil yum yum?" it was a real person that was a very bad 8 or 10 year old little boy.
Im so excited for Equalizer 3. Im a sucker for this genre (John Wick, Nobody, AVA with Jessica Chastain, Polar with Mads Mikkelsen) but Equalizer does it a bit differently with Denzel's calm and collected demeanour. It's almost ASMR with killing involved.
There's no one better than Denzel Washington!! Not no one. He's the best actor ever in history. He has always made great films. And to get into character he takes a month and goes and meditates. For a whole month he gets into character.
i like that in the beginning with the business dudes, he punished the last guy, but was still KIND about breaking his hand lol.....he didnt ask the other guys what they use, and broke his non primary so he can still get around.
Denzel and Anquan Fuqua have great chemistry together. He said Denzel has leeway to offscript anytime with him, because he knows it will be magic. He delivered again with the scene with Miles. Lil Yummy was a 11 yr Gangster Disciples in Chicago, who was ordered to kill rival gang members in '94, execution style. He was killed himself for fear he'd snitch, by 13 and 14 yr old brothers also controlled by the same gang. Denzel spoke on him in the past, so it had a deeper meaning in the scene. Anquan said he just the camera guys to keep plenty of film and not to miss anything.
"There are two kinds of pain in this world. Pain that hurts... Pain that alters. Today... you get to choose." Translation: I will make you suffer, but it's your choice whether it'll be pain for the sake of pain, or whether you'll learn something from it and change your ways.
He was portraying a Muslim man in Turkey wearing a kufi... the skullcap we saw him in. He is an ex CIA contract killer with a conscience. His wife died who was a link to his humanity. Money other than being able to purchase his books, live his sedentary life is unimportant to him. I was so mad at Miles not staying quiet in the safe room that I could have screamed. He came out way too soon. The young Pedro Pascal (way before Mandalorian) who was McCall's friend when they were contract killers together was in love with money and totally amoral with his other contract killer buddies. Great movie. Good reaction guys...😊
Denzel Washington should win an Oscar EVERY YEAR, just for breathing. Go to the stage, say Hello, and boom, golden statue. Also and most important, he is a brother in Christ.
I can't wait for Three. The series is truly a great view of the dichotomy of Good and Evil. He is enabled to do good and dispose of Evil so efficiently! Great review / reaction. As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
Being a man who knew evil too well he is able to straddle that line and make it right again. There’s a good video essay on UA-cam about how Denzel’s Equalizer series creates morality in action setting
@orangewarm1 I agree it sometimes pushes the reality envelope, but I actually enjoyed the non-action scenes as much, if not more. I think the character is more complex and has a Zen like wisdom. That's what I really enjoy, and Denzel really sells it.
I think the first one is the better action movie, the second one is the better movie. Him taking the guys out at the Home Mart in the first one had me cheering. Him finding the old mans sister in this one had me crying.
This and your solo are my favorite channels. Love y'alls reactions, it's like I'm watching a movie with some of my buddies. You both keep me laughing. Y'all keep em coming cuz I'm here for it
This is my second reaction video of theirs that I'm watching. I am on the fence with this channel. I probably would like it more if they reacted to movies he has not seen before. He has a habit of making comments right before a scene happens giving away that something is about to go down. I've seen other reactors that have seen the movie be very careful with this. Do they do a lot of movies that he has already seen?
Can you imagine Denzel, Keanu and Damon teaming up in a movie. Hell throw Cruise in there too.Take my money, whatever the price of admission, take it all.
You guys are definitely the best movie reaction channel on UA-cam. I love Devin's own channel but love watching even a movie that he's already covered with his misses. You've got me through some hard times brother as watching one of your reactions is like watching the movie with a good friend. Massive love and respect from the UK. Please keep doing what you're doing.
The only part I didn't like was McCall told miles he didn't know what death is when he knew miles told him about his brother getting murdered over his gym and the fact that he lives in a poor neighborhood where people get killed
There’s a huge difference between losing someone you lose to violence & killing someone personally, or being in the face of death like that personally. What he said isn’t about being familiar with violence around you.
@@mistyxmarlboro Exactly. He meant "You don't know what death is when you make it a part of yourself." (Like he did, for so many years. It ties in with when Dave asks Robert if he deserves to die for the things he's done, and Robert says "A thousand times over.")
Is Flour Combustible? So, can flour explode? As astonishing as it may sound, the fact is that flour dust is more explosive than gunpowder and 35 times more combustible than coal dust.
McCall gives back, what is needed. To a boy, becoming a man, he gives advice and direction. A role model. To the man missing a painting because it reminds him of a lost sister, he gives the sister. And to those evil in the world, well, evil is returned, and then some.
Роберт в конце перерезал ему спиной мозг, чтобы уже наверняка после удара под сердце и перерезанными сухожилиями, и падения с 30-40 метров на скалы он не выжил
A suggestion. Your pics cover too much of the movie ! Even the individual ones are too big. We want to be able to see the movie ! I quit watching because of it.

it was ok. maybe it would have been more accurate if it was written by a black man.

@orangewarm1 that whole scene was improvised by denzel... the writer didn't do that scene so
@@snackandreactand yet all you did was laugh

@@snackandreact Also I'm highly recommending you watch Man on Fire before watching Equalizer 3, if you haven't seen it already.
Denzel loves this role because he doesn't do sequels

When hiding in a book case, it would ruin your day if your phone ringtone went off with max volume.
Oh absolutely!! Lol

There is physical pain and emotional pain. They both hurt but in different ways. ❤
Definitely!
you didnt know that?
@@orangewarm1 who didn't know what?
Denzel's foundation and what he represents is as good as his acting! Top notch!
This is someone who has spent years and years training and living these situations and survived to retire himself. It takes obsession to be this good.
Denzel Washington should win an Oscar EVERY YEAR, just for breathing. Go to the stage, say Hello, and boom, golden statue. Also and most important, he is a brother in Christ.

I can't wait for the third installment next month! Denzel is such a great actor. I love his portrayal of Robert McCall.
Can’t wait!!
its turned into John Wick. The characters are indestructible. Superhuman.

2 kinds of pain. One that hurts (headaches, bumps, etc.) ulteriors (broken necks, severed hand, ruptured kidneys) there is a difference.

Yes Libraries still exist! Find your local library, get a card and support it!
I do! Apparently i need to bring Devin with me next time! 🤣
Libraries and museums are places that I spend my life in and get lost in there for hours. I have to remember to eat I love them so much.
You asked what he saw? He likely saw that the guys phone screen was off and was pretending to get a message to leave her alone with the thugs.
