I made this recipe and it was absolutely delicious. What I love about it is that while the rice is cooking, you can prep all the other ingredients! Simple. Thanks for sharing this fabulous recipe. It’s fool proof
Made this tonight the one thing i added was some oyster sauce and a touch more garlic powder. It turned our very good. Im not going out for fried rice ever again. Thx for sharing.
I'm making this for the second time tonight. We loved it the first time even without the fish sauce. Tonight I have the fish sauce. So looking forward to it!
Hello Shinee D. I just made this and it was delicious. I didn't add the fish sauce but it was still good. I used 2 cups of rice and 2 cups of water and I cooked it in the instant pot for 5 minutes. I was nervous about the 5 minutes but it came out great! Thank you for sharing!!!
Thanks for your wonderful Video, I am half Chinese, and we usually use a Wok pan to make our F.R., but your method in a pressure cooker is most interesting 🤔 and if you don't have Fish sauce, you can use Worcestershire Sauce instead, its the same thing..😊 Happy Cooking my Sister...😎❤🇺🇲🍺🙏
Thank you, Danica, for sharing your tips!! Yes, I usually use a wok for fried rice too, when I have leftover rice. But this pressure cooker fried rice is great when you need a quick meal and don't have any cooked rice. Hope you'll give it a try. And please let me know if you do.
Made this recipe today with some left over sweet and spicy chicken breast from your recipe. Actually I made this recipe with shrimp and heated the sweet and spicy chicken from yesterday and they were all delicious. I have a question....I love hoisin sauce in my fried rice, how much should I add without making rice salty?
Thanks for the recipe and video! My question: would it be possible to add the eggs and vegetables into the instant pot to the finished rice and add oil to cook it directly in the pot so I can save the step with the pan? Love from Germany! ❤️
@@ShineeD You know I rarely follow a recipe to the letter but yours I did with the exception of adding chopped celery. I also used fresh chopped carrots with the frozen peas. Otherwise I used your recipes and ingredients. It was absolutely delicious and the addition of the fish sauce made a real improvement. Thanks for a great and time saving recipe.

it is not easy or clear the amounts of your ingredients. it would be helpful to see this information easily. for example, where is it posted how much soy sauce to use

Is there a fish sauce you can recommend for a beginner? I’d hate to get a generic that wasn’t very good. If I’m committed, I’d like something quality
I like Red Boat fish sauce.

Hi, Iris. Unfortunately, I have no experience with hoisin sauce, so I have no good advice.
Thank you.
Making this tonight!!! Thank you!!!

What are the amount of the ingredients
1 ½ cups white jasmine rice to 1 ½ cups water
▢3 tablespoons soy sauce
▢2 teaspoons fish sauce
▢2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
▢½ teaspoon garlic powder
▢1 tablespoon olive oil
▢4 eggs
▢2 scallions thinly sliced
▢1 ½ cups frozen carrots and peas
Great fried rice and easy.
Thank you
Thank you for your feedback!
Do you have a fried rice recipe without an instant pot? Thank you
Where do I find amounts of ingredients?
Great recipe and prep! Thank you!
Glad you tried and loved it. Thanks for the feedback, Louis!
How would this work on an 8qt IP. Would I need to make any adjustments to cooking time or measurements?
I don’t believe you need to adjust the cooking time. Typically, 8qt reuires at least 1 cup of liquid, so you may increase the water amount a little.
Thanks for the recipe and video! My question: would it be possible to add the eggs and vegetables into the instant pot to the finished rice and add oil to cook it directly in the pot so I can save the step with the pan? Love from Germany! ❤️
Hi, Sonja. Yes, you can. I've tried mixing raw eggs with uncooked rice, and sauté it before cooking. It works fine.
Is there somewhere I can see the volumes of ingredients? How much rice, soy, fish sauce etc have you used here?
You can find the recipe here: www.busycooks.net/instant-pot-egg-fried-rice/
@@ShineeDThe amounts are still not divulged in the website :(

Do you have to use sesame seed oil as well?
No, you don't have to. I've made without it. BUT it adds so much flavor to the dish.
I really like this recipe going to try making beef fried rice next. Great quality though.
Glad you tried and liked it. Thanks for your feedback, Gina!
Definitely trying this soon! Thanks for sharing!

How much soy sauce and sesame oil do you use?
Here's the full recipe: www.busycooks.net/instant-pot-egg-fried-rice/
u can tell us how much of the ingredient you are adding so if we make it we won't add to much
So if i double the ingredients does the time cooking stays the same ? Trying to feed 8 people
No change for cook time.
Hey Shinee. Can you use oyster sauce for the fish sauce?
Hi, Pam. I didn't try this recipe with oyster sauce, so I can't say how it'll work for sure.
Could you cook onions with the rice? We love onion in our fried rice.
I'd prefer to cook the onions with eggs in a skillet rather than with the rice.
So just cook it with pressure not the rice setting?
Yes
Thank you for this question I wasn’t sure wether to use steam button or pressure cook button or what
Great video young lady ;) I'll try this for sure...
Thanks!!
How many does this feed please ?
Love from India...❤️
It's a nice recipe

Can we use brown rice?
Yes, of course, you can use brown rice. But you'll need to adjust the cook time accordingly. It requires longer cook time.
Give us measurements please

If I double the recipe do I need to cook the rice longer?
Hi, Eraj. No, you don't need to double the cook time.

How much of each ingredient is used? Is there a full recipe! Steps were good but amounts were not given! I'm disappointed in overall video!
Worse fried rice ever made
That's a waste of time. I always saute in my pot first, eggs, seasoning, veg. Then add rice and liquid and cook
Thanks for sharing your method.
How long do you saute before adding the rice?
