- This is a kill count of the sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam and one of my favourite series in the UC Timeline, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, which aired from 1985 to 1986, was directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, and distributed by Bandai Namco Filmworks
This may be graphic for viewers and will contain spoilers so be aware
Way less deaths than the first Gundam but took almost as long 😅
Next is ZZ Gundam of course
Edit: Why did UA-cam compress this one so much lol
Maybe less deaths overall but a lot more of the main cast died in this making it a higher emotional kill count.
@@diebysward9184 yep, and I know damn well the first one won’t be the highest count (The Origin and Unicorn)
Wait, I thought the TITANS gased and shot a colony with gryps. Shouldn't the general math of those count as well? 🤔
@@WingDragonoidZero yeah, but there were no numbers for that so I didn’t really know what to count, so all I had was the little boy that died
Hate to say it but death number 3177 actually isn't a death, Yazan unfortunately is able to eject before he blows up with the Hambrabi
So the official kill count is 3,178.
The Gryps Conflict all started because Jerid Messa mocked Kamille’s name.
>Nuke goes off
>Two people perish
Only two Zaku pilots were left alive that died, the rest got killed before that
I know you're only counting people who died on screen, but its funny to think that all the people that didn't get on the transports, like all the ones Jerrid had to get past, didn't die@@somerandomdogontheinternet1338
13:50 Nope, not dead, just check out ZZ for proof! I didn't even notice it myself till now but you can actually see Yazan's escape pod flying out the Hambrabi there, nice little hidden detail.
Oh yeah. My bad. Ngl I haven’t seen ZZ in a while so I sorta forgot
@somerandomdogontheinternet1338 he lived all the way into unicorn based on his appearance from a srw
Apparently he also fought char between zz gundam and cca and still lived
12:54 glad we both despise Jerid with every fiber of our being
Seriously. He gets angry at Kamille for killing his girlfriend when she was attacking him first, and they were both in a team that involved them with a army that was the reason for Earth’s literal fucking extinction. Not to mention before it he literally kills his mother. Then he gets angry a 2nd time when he kills his 2nd girlfriend when she was literally murdering innocent people in the city. Also, he killed their Captain so there’s that to add to it
@@somerandomdogontheinternet1338 You guys are just mega haters, IMO. Jerid was a THE CHAD with not only the best hair in the series, but he also got to pilot some of coolest mobile suits as well!
He totally didn’t realize that Kamille’s mom was in that capsule, so it was just a total accident! It was just too bad Kamille was such a baby about it though! If you are gonna blame him for that then you might as well blame Amuro for Lala’s death too, same deal!
Jerid was simply a dutiful soldier who wanted to protect the Earth Sphere from those AEUG terrorists! His only crime was turning around to check out what he thought would have been a hot babe when he heard the name “Kamille” only to find out it was an angry teenage boy who was a total jerk. An honest mistake, and one he didn’t deserve to have his whole world ruined and life taken over!
It really should have been him that survived into Zeta instead of that meathead, Yazan. Hell, If Jerid was still around by Char’s Counterattack, I bet he would have beaten Char’s ass easily! No need for Amuro’s sacrifice. The UC timeline could have become a utopia where everyone lived happily if only that brat could’ve just come to terms with having a girl’s name and not thrown a fit!
0:57 Most mobile suits in gundam, including the gm 2, actually have their cockpits located in the chest, not the head. So this dude is actually still alive. All Kamille did by destroying the head was take out the main camera and communications arrary. Mind you that was probably on purpose and kamille was just trying to disable the mobile suit rather than destroy it.
God, Zeta Gundam is so dark. The amount of characters that casually die is crazy. Still one of my fav, with super clean animation for a 80s anime
Edit: Holy shit! 14:03
Wow, the Gold Gundam looks the coolest in my opinion. Though is the new Gundam in this (I’m guessing it’s called Zeta Gundam) an upgrade of the original or something
The Gold Gundam is called the MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki, and it’s piloted by Char Aznable, the villain from the previous Gundam (the guy who wore the metal helmet). But now he’s more of a anti-hero and is taking the identity of Lieutenant Quattro for a reason I don’t wanna spoil. The Zeta Gundam isn’t a upgrade but more of completely new thing made to be better, the purple/darker blue Gundam that looks like the RX-78-2 is the Mk II which is a upgrade
Hyaku Shiki was originally was going to be the main mobile suit of the show but tomino didn't get the feel of a main character vibe so he had it given to Quatro who is totally not char
I feel like this is a few million short though. What about the Gryps 2 laser destroying Colony 18 of Side 2 in episode 40 that supposedly killed about 8 million? Also, in the following episode, millions more died in Reccoa's gas attack on side 2 but only the one kid was counted at 9:02. Seems you were a little forgiving of Gundam's atrocities this time around.
For Reccoa’s gas attacks, there were no numbers given for me to count so I literally had no way of counting all that. For the Gryps 2 laser, I wasn’t really sure, but I must’ve forgotten since I think I forgot the number
Colony drops and gassed colonies(Dangar) aside, I'm guessing Zeta trumps the other series in the kill count. It's got to... hell the reason the first 8-10 episodes of ZZ is over the top comedic and ridiculous is because Tomino went so DARK with Zeta and he offed almost everybody LOL! NOBODY was safe!
Did you that the Rick Dias is actually a gundam
It’s not, it’s a mobile suit
@@somerandomdogontheinternet1338what he says is true. Mostly. The project codename designates the Rick Dias as being "Gamma Gundam". Now we all know the Rick Dias has a monoeye, and we also know 99.99% of Gundams have a twin eye sensor and a V-fin (not every single Gundam without fail, but VERY close to every single Gundam).. so methinks that is why Build Divers got to release that HG Gamma Gundam a few years back, because it had a proper Gundam head/V-fin on the Rick Dias body. I'm fine with either interpretation because neither position is wrong.
@@porkflaps4717 Damn u are well versed in UC lore
@@porkflaps4717oh wow 😮
I miss the UC
Hathaway 2 should be coming out in 2025 so we have that to look forward to
Even if this anime involves giant robots fighting each other, this is at its core a tale about the horrors of war.
Watching robots go at it is so satisfying
Definitely not counting the one who died by Colony Laser.
I like how Zeta Gundam end Gryps Conflict, by shooting colony laser to Titans and Neo Zeon Fleet.
Do Gundam Victory body count pls
14:04 see you in Helheim 😂😂😂
Distant IBO foreshadowed @ 2:38?
bruh ... for war that death count was to small ....
What's the ms at 3:22?
It’s a different version of the Gouf, called a Gouf Flight Test Type
@@somerandomdogontheinternet1338 thank you!
quite many wrong in there tho....
