Wannabe Ranch I think rick was buying it for himself , the fact that there are only a dozen of these known in existence. Rick is a collector as well , and if he was trying to resell it there’s no way he would’ve payed 80k for it .

Haven’t watched this show in years. But Rick usually makes a deal on items he personally likes especially anything having to do with American history.

Rick: I need an expert opinion, i know a guy working at NGC ill call him and see if he can see it.
    - One of NGC´s best coin graders walks in, seller not looking like he moved an inch while waiting for the hours it would´ve taken him to get there.

The episodes are all prepared beforehand.. the customers featured on the show do not walk in spontaniously... the items/sellers are all pre selected.. the experts are already informed about the items so they can do their research...

If you want to squeeze Rick for all he’s got, just bring a coin in

Yeah, he always gives the highest percentage of value on coins. He might even give you as much as 20 cents if you bring him a quarter.

Little tip for the seller: you WON'T find another coin like that sometime.
