Great video! Keep calling out the SEC’s apparent blindspots and hypocrisy. Video could do a better job of outlining potential reasoning of the SEC guy. Perhaps in his view roaring kitty is one of the wealthy people taking advantage of others by pumping stock and he’s too surrounded by groupthink to realize the inconsistent application of the justifications he’s using to raise alarms over a chair meme.

I don’t know how some of these people aren’t completely overwhelmed by shame. The sec allows politicians to get away with the worst and most blatant insider trading. The double standards and corruption in our world today, is just unbearable.
Fantastic commentary, thank you for pointing out the charlatans on financial media and the complete lack of action from the SEC to protect Savers-Investors.
Google has gotten so much grief for 'wasted money' on their moon-shots, other-bets, and countless scrapped projects over the years. But those projects were farm grounds for the best technical minds in the business. When it came time to rally around AI they had the stable of talent needed to see the breadth of focus we are now seeing.
I liked that you included the SEC member interview and challenged this nonsense comparing to Chamath. Would be great to see more content like this from you.
I agree. But, it’s not just the sec. All of our federal institutions are corrupted and captured by the very industries they are supposed to be regulating. The consequences for this behavior needs to be made so severe, that no one would dare behave this way. I just wish everyone would realize just how corrupt our government is.
Could be both but it might be more behind the scenes like integrating in search etc. it's easy to say that Google will still probably beat Microsoft in search, and j really think a.i from a consumer perspective will be search. Maybe Business will have more advanced applications though obviously.
CNBC's Jim Cramer says "buy this stock" and the SEC says nothing. Some Twitter influencer posts a meme and the SEC wants him to be investigated for market manipulation.
Agreed, I'm not trusting ANY Google AI demos anymore. I'm only trusting that it's actually good when a bunch of ordinary people can get their hands on the software and say if it's actually good or not.
I appreciate you actually having a brain about this "meme stock" stuff. You're seeing how much business media is against them, I've been seeing it more and more
People have complained about Chipotle for a long time. Their service is inconsistent across locations but that doesn't necessarily hurt the company. I have had good food and generous portions in some locations while the others not so much. One thing they are consistent about is how unappealing their rice is.
As always, you provide solid arguments. Your thoughtfulness and clear communication is why so many of us tune in all the time. Thank you for all the hard work you put in to provide us with insightful and entertaining content!
Complaining about RK posting a meme whilst Elon Musk actively manipulates the stock to millions on a platform HE OWNS is no issue… crazy, corrupt world we live in
The secret to getting exploding bowls of food at Chipotle is simple, ask for both options. White or brown rice? Both. Black or pinto beans? Both. Meat? Ask if you can have a mix of two meats that are the same price. Then get every additional condiment/side option available except guacamole. You'll be lucky if they can even get the lid to fit. #yourewelcome
The chipotle in my college town was great for the past couple years. Only was it recently that I noticed that the place is always a mess and portions got smaller. Qdoba is just down the street and superior due to free queso and guacamole. It’s pretty clear which one I exclusively go to now.
Sorry but the past videos on ai have been so biased by you Joe. I think you have to much of an emotional connection to google. I think the problems at google should be talked about also. Same with all the companies you review.
You should have introduced chimath as “the dictator himself” like they do on all in pod lmfao and you didnt even give him heat in virgin galactic spac! If youre not a shark you get ate lmao
Google biggest advantage is their portfolio. They have Search, Gmail, Photo, Map, Workspace, UA-cam, Chrome, Cloud, Drive, translate, Chat, Meet, Calendar, Android, Asistance, Google Pay. These are just some of their most popular one. It's crazy how much they can monetize AI through those services immediately. Unlike OpenAI, the use case is just limited to saveral use case.
The double standards with the SEC are amazing. When the big banks/hedge funds do shady stuff, they might get a wrap on the knuckles, maybe a fine if they are unlucky. If we retail investors do stuff that's perfectly legal, its suddenly a concern. I think the last 16 years have shown us that it's not the act that is the problem, it's who commits the act. Who is the Chair/Former Chair of the SEC to tell us what we can and can't trade/invest in or what advice we can and can't take. It's not like they have to bail us retail investors out if we muck up unlike the banks.
i swear google way back in the day gave more relevant results when you put in a more details search term. recently it just looked at the one popular word and gives results for that. more concerned with giving you the popular website in the search result rather than the most relevant. it got worse and now they're going back to how it was a a decade ago and claiming it's new.
I like your view point, and focus. But I think one caveat in your argument that critics will point out is that, the meme stock guy for GameStop DID NOT justify his action. Whereas chamath or Buffett, truthfully or untruthfully (read SPAC) explain what they “feel”. The clarity for the action is missing for this GAMESTOP guy. I think if you can address this, your justification will be water-tight. Nevertheless, I will follow you. I think I can resonate with your thoughts more… cheers.
“Is this something we should be tolerating in our markets?” “Weather it’s legal or illegal, I don’t think so”. . . Don’t think so? How is it even close to illegal? People assuming he’s even thinking about GME is just silly. This is just sad
I ordered a burrito from chipotle recently on door dash and when I got it, it literally looked like a kids meal, like a mini buritto. Never had that happen before to me it surprised me. Shrinkflation is real.

It's always a challenge to disassociate your personal, anecdotal experiences with how you view a business/investment case - case in point, Netflix customers being overly bearish because their previously free experience was being downgraded by the password crackdown, forcing them to pay up for a subscription. That being said, I am curious what the community here thinks about this Chipotle 'controversy' and more - I for one haven't really noticed the smaller portion sizes, but I have noticed slower and slower service, them being out of chips, and even forgetting pieces of my mobile orders and only finding out when I get home that they didn't add fajitas, salsa, etc. Is that also true for you? Another instance, whenever I go to Costco it s simply too busy, there isn't seating available at the food court and it's always dirty. I'm still buying the stock, but I do worry about these degradations in my (and possibly other's) shopping experiences with these high flying businesses/stocks. I wonder what the community here thinks.
Good points on market manipulation. And let's not forget price targets set by investment firms. They know very well the market will react to upgrades and downgrades. Or look what Elon Musk does. Or Nancy Pelosi, lol.

Can we say that man will do leisure and hobbies in the future. AI will do everything else. So, an AI company will sell leisure and hobbies as a service. Also, I see the real world application for AI in vehicles and Bots. So, who takes most, Ai or real world AI in transport and Bots?
Is he wrong to say that people are dumb for gambling on tweets? 😂😂 it is dumb af. And not sure how its not manipulation haha. Pls someone explain? Didnt he buy before advertising and then sold when people rushed in?and the buffet thing isnt a good analogy. He is forced to publish his trades. If he wasnt he wouldnt haha.
