I just got a Cricut a few days ago (Explore Air2) and am just setting it up! Watching videos on how to set up and start to use. This video was very helpful. I am subscribed now lol THANK YOU!
Just would like to add in that I thought the same! I told my husband “I finally found my person to teach me how to use this thing” I feel like all the rest of the videos are just too much and I love patty’s simple friendly style looking forward to watching the rest of her videos because I already love my air2!

This is the first and best tutorial on this matter that I've seen that actually explains step-by-step instructions without hiding anything and leaving you to figure out what you actually have to do in between. Most of these videos on here gets you from A to C and you basically have to figure out B on your own. Your video shows it all. Thanks for teaching the way you do. You have me as a new subscriber dear. Thanks so much.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have had my machine for over a year and gave up after SEVERAL failed attempts with tutorials. Yours makes sense. It clicked with me right away. I'm excited to stop fussy cutting and use it now.
I just got my Cricut yesterday only to find that I need a computer with it. So, I bought a laptop and waiting for it to arrive. Now I find, according to this tutorial, I need a printer! Fortunately, I do have two printers, but will need to put one in my craft area where I do not have a place to put it. So, I'm off to Amazon to order a printer stand and some ink for the printer. Of all the tutorials I've looked at, this is the first one to even mention a tutorial! It was very well done and explained a whole lot. I will definitely subscribe! Thanks for a very good and informative tutorial.
Great video! Thank you for sharing. I have used Cricut machines since the very first one came out. I am currently on #4. I had NEVER used the print and cut feature. Honestly, I just never thought I would have a need for it. But I decided to take a look and now I have ideas running through my head!

Thank you very much for the tutorial showing how to Print and Cut. I looked all over trying to find a tutorial for this and could not find one that I could figure out until I found yours. My family gave me a Cricut Ultimate Cutting Machine for Mother's Day and I do not know anything about how to use it. I am going to make a birthday card for a friend who loves sunflowers, so I got a beautiful sunflower graphic off of google, put it on my desktop, but didn't know how to use the Cricut to Print and Cut it. Now I do, thanks to you! I made 3 of the same sunflower and stacked them with little foam adhesive squares in-between them so together they make 1 sunflower that will be risen up on the front of the card. I did the same with an adorable bumble bee. Now I need to find a tutorial about how to create a card (front, inside, & back). Thanks again.
Patty Anne, Thank you for this tutorial. I have only had my Cricut Explore Air for 3 weeks and am just now getting a chance to work with it. Your tutorial was very easy to follow and I recommend it to any beginner. I look forward to watching more of your videos!
I want to thank you so much! Today I took the plunge to make decals for my tumblers! I had an old Cricut 9 years ago. Last year, I decided to purchase an Explore Air ll. I was so intimidated by Design space, I would just use my cartridges from the old Cricut to cut shapes! Well today is day I learned how to use my Explore Air ll. I’am so, so happy! Thank you again! 😍

Hi!! I just watched your Print and Cut video, and Minnie came out Perfectly. So if I used an iron on material or vinyl I could place this on an item? I'm very new to Cricut and just trying to figure it all out. Thank you so much!
This video was soooo helpful, I honestly started this video months ago but could never get more than 3mins into it because I was so lost with the machines but I woke up and started taking notes and I have a full understanding of this now as far as the cutting. THANK YOU
So when I print it on my printer, do I need to print it on the fabric that I am planning to use? For example, if I want my Minnie Mouse to be colored and on vinyl, do I print in vinyl on my printer and then just use the cricut to cut it?
Excellent, excellent tutorial. My machine will be arriving this week and I will definitely be referring to your video to learn how to use my machine. TFS your knowledge.
Wow, thank you so much for making this. I know a few people that have a Cricut and I've asked them if I can print my designs and then have the Cricut CUT out the silhouette so I can IRON on my design and no one has been able to answer that questions. So glad I found your video where you gave everything I wondered about! By-the-way, I noticed this video is from 01/2018, is there anything new that you think we should know? I look forward to more tips. Hopefully I'll get a computer or tablet set up with my new Cricut.
Thank you so very much! Excellent. I received a used circuit explore machine and I did not realize that I could print and CUT OUT A IMAGE. like that. My friend used to cut out images like the head, bow tie, shoes, etc. separately and would paste them all together. It was OK....but this way is PERFECT and you're so special. I was going to purchase a Cameo 3 machine and now I don't have to. Thanks again.
Hello, Thank you!!Thank you!! For this video I have been wanting to purchase the Circuit Explorer Air 2 but was very intimidated by how to use it. Your videos are very informative. Also can you please let me know what type of printer I would purchase to go witht this. Thank you!
@@PattyAnnesPlace I have a question, does the cruicut print the photo for you and does it need some type of ink replacement, if so where can we get that

Hi your video helps out a great deal but I’m slightly confused I did basically the same thing your video shows. I was printing a outline of a flower ( in black and white) I printed it. Put it on my mat it cut BUT it cut a box around the 2 flowers. Not actually outlining and cutting the pictures. What am I doing wrong. Basically my goal was to cut it BUT I ALSO WANT my end result to be able to cut it on vinyl to make a decal. What would you say I’m doing wrong? I have been working on this for 2 days. By the way I’m new to this I just started playing with Cricut explore air 2 just 3 days ago. Basically my google image I’m trying to get on vinyl to make it a decal.
I would love to help. You got the image from Google, right? Did you make sure that the background of the image was transparent when you uploaded it to Cricut DS? . I will make a video for you later today to clarify what I'm saying. You WILL get it to work - promise!! In the meantime, this may help. Do this: Go to Upload/upload image/browse/open/complex/continue. NOW comes the IMPORTANT part.... If there is ANY white on the outside of your flowers, click on the SELECT/ERASE tool in the upper left corner and THEN click on those white areas. When you click on them they should change to a checkerboard which means they are transparent. After all white areas outside of your flowers have be changed to be transparent, click continue and then choose print and cut.
PattyAnnesPlace actually yes but remember I’m working from my iPhone and I got it to cut after printing from my printer but on the Mat it cut a square around the outline flower but I can’t get it to trace the outline flower. ( hope this makes since) I hope your able to help again thank you so much! I just started using the Cricut explore air 2 just this past weekend. Been doing ok until trying to print image from google. I clicked on image and saved it so when you say saved to DS I uploaded the image. But yes I will try the link you attached. And look forward to your video.😊
Ok. on your phone, you need to go to : Upload/then select your image. The next page on your phone should say "clean up". On this page you will click on the 'remove' button on the lower left of your screen (i'm using an iPhone) and with that button selected, click the white areas around your flowers. This should remove those areas so they will not print or cut. If you have done this correctly, the background of your flowers should all have a gray checkerboard which means that area is transparent and will not print or cut. Then click "next'. Then next again. Highlight the Print and Cut image and give it a name. Then SAVE. Then insert your image and do the print and cut. While the black box WILL print, it will not cut. It will cut only around your flowers. Anyhoooo, I will create a video later today or this evening. :)
I love this video.. I have watched many others videos but couldn’t understand it.. but your video was explained very clear and slow that allowed me to follow as you was explaining.. thank you very much

Go to Upload/upload image/browse/open/complex/continue.
