Crazy thing is they are using higher end equipment but proved they can do the same with the camera on the iphone x which is hardly high end. Thats pure unadulterated elbow grease being put to work there.
Spectacular work! No wonder you are my favorite youtube channel.... brilliant writing, astounding macro shots and narration second to none! More power!
I agree. If they remake Bruce Almighty, this guy could could be the new voice of God pretty easily. The boys got talent, and evidently good staff backing him up.
I am a decently long time viewer and am a chemical engineer. These types of videos honestly, as nerdy as this sounds, beat at my heart strings and get it going just a little bit faster.
This was the phrase that grabbed my attention too. But not because I agree with the second part of it. Because there is a clear answer to why that is and also a way of rectifying it. Unfortunately the brain got too cozy with the way it is and there is no hope for the near future.
yes. I think that was a rare sight of a GOOD looking bronze watch. It really shows why it makes sense to buy a bronze diver and keep it for years. I loved it. I will have one, I know that
Right when I thought that Watchfinder can’t be any better a sudden shots on bronze Oris exploded my mind. Fantastic job, this is definitely your best video in my opinion. Thank you! Thank you so very much for making such a wonderful content.
you must never own a matt black watch before... own one and it like own all of them... it don't had much in resale value and a lot of time you can find it...
Tantalum is another material that came to mind immediately as the video ended. Would love to see a review of the FP Journe Chronometré Bleu soon. I love going through your video catalogue and picking out something at random. The quality of the narrative and the videography never disappoints.
Out of all of those, bronze is my personal and undisputed favorite. I love how it looks when new, but even more once it's been worn and exposed to the elements.
Wow! There isn't a day that passes, whereby I don't learn something new. This video combines many of those days in about 16 minutes. Amazing content. Many thanks for the video.
What a brilliant series. Each episode is written like a drama film. Building itself with questions that both befuddle the mind, and find yourself asking “where is it all going”? It all crescendos to an apex where the true talent and genius of the watch at hand is unfurled in tight prose and entertaining narration. It all makes for an addicting series that always begs the same final question: what’s next?!
Oh, you can always trust watchmakers to turn the most mundane into the most exotic - Breitling's "Breitlight", a fancy name for their proprietary plastic comes to mind.
Paul Earley Agree. Horology House and Watchfinder are glorious! I love Watchfinder for the narration and stories. Love Horology House equally for the reviews and macro footage that's at least equal to WF.
Definitely the most informative and educational video you have done to date. It just encompasses so many ways watches are made now and how they will be in the future and also many other things in the future.
This could turn into an amazing series. Covering individual aspects of horology. From the raw materials to the refinement of movements over history, this would be extremely popular. I would love to see a video covering the history of dive bracelets.
Thank you for this beautiful video as usual, to answer your question: YES, I OWN A VANTABLACK MOSER WATCH “blacker than black itself” with 1027 years 1 day divination moon phase 🌙 very beautiful watch and I like it so much.
there are a few watch channels but your is the most accurate and interesting , you find some incredible watches for our viewing , always worth watching
You may have forgotten some fancy material in this (as usual) perfectly made video. For instance palladium (used in some Hublot big bang pieces), tungsten (uBoat), sapphire (Hublot unico). I have a Pam386, a Zenith Type 20 and a Tudor BB in bronze, they are beautiful but too easy to get scratches and dings. A ceramic IWC Top Gun (non dopplerchrono), AP diver and Hublot big bang: nice but sometimes black watches are not so lovely to look at (especially if dull, that's why I never got a carbon fiber one). A titanium Tudor Pelagos LHD: lovely and light but also extremely easy to scratch... In the end for day by day usage, the stainless steel is still the winner as it comprehend a good amount of all the qualities of the previous ones and remains a good robust material.
Thank goodness I didn't skipped this. Excellent informative video. Thank you so much. I would like to say this is the first time I have actually comment on any video I have watched.
Tristan X I had the 38mm on my shortlist. Have just gone micro brand with a Halios Seaforth actually so more field than diver-have plenty of those. Bit left field.
I really love the idea of a bronze automatic watch. I would reserve titanium to digital and smart watches as I find that the look it develops over time better suits something with a bit of tech in it.
How about the Sandia alloy. It is made up of 90 percent platinum and 10 percent gold. The new material is apparently 100 times more wear-resistant than high-strength steel, which makes it the first metal alloy to join the same class as diamond.
Marathon's Fibershell cases are great, unusual for sure but extremely practical. If it's good enough for the military it's good enough for the weekend warrior. This is one of the reason why I love watchs making its a great mix of outdated technology and new state of the art technology. Please do an episode on the Tag Heuer Carrera Heuer-02T. Or a " cheapest" tourbillon watches at the moment. Great work as always 👌 🙌
@Watchfinder & Co.: Damascus cases like Titanium-Zirconium cases from Zelos (Mirage-2 collection) would be one of the coolest alternate materials. It will be great if you cover these Zelos watches.
I have a MarineMaster 600m in full titanium and its antiscratch coated (Diashield), its a great combination. I prefer the finishing quality of steel more though. But for super big watches Titanium is for sure a great choice.
Ceramics are definitely wonderful on a watch. I caught my watch on a glass partition 🙄; took a chunk out of the lug, but the ceramic bezel insert and sapphire crystal remain unmarked.
Love your work! Soothing, informative and just a little bit naughty. One of my favourite watches is a titanium piece from Swiss Military. So light and well fitting, I scarcely know I'm wearing it. I do like the bronze aesthetic as well so it will have to be added to my collection, some day. Cheers.
I am huge fan of titanium watches, I have (I think) 6 at the moment as well as one made out of bronze and one ceramic watch. The only downside to titanium is that it easily scratches. I'd love a Panerai Luminor 8 days in Ti, but I don't know that they ever made such a beast....
The melodious sound with the Oxford style accent and the rather pleasing diction and the use of words that flow into ideas, make this review all the more interesting than the complex yet simple information that is conveyed. Although hypnotic to the point of nauseam at times, nonetheless the information about things that are fascinating is presented in fashion that makes me believe that wheat I'm learning is valuable for my every day life. The problem for me is that I cannot command the information to commit to memory, nor can I repeat it to friends at dinner, a party and certainly not to a class, to which I have no access. Still this is refreshing lecture; not cosmology but high communication to my lower basic instincts, as well as to some level of my hierarchy of neeeds. AF
We know you want more watches…. click here: linktr.ee/watchfinder
This is my favorite youtube channel. The narrative is so powerful.
I dont know why .but I hate it,gives me an asthmatic feeling
yes the narrative is so exclusive
Ditto that! 😎
@@user-yk9lu2sr2r You need an asthma pump mate
Can we just point out that again and again the videography here is better than some big name blockbuster films. Great vid
More power!
This channel is like the National Geographic + Discovery Channel but for watches :D
I agree. If they remake Bruce Almighty, this guy could could be the new voice of God pretty easily. The boys got talent, and evidently good staff backing him up.
Perfect comparison
Funny but true
ha ha..
I am a decently long time viewer and am a chemical engineer. These types of videos honestly, as nerdy as this sounds, beat at my heart strings and get it going just a little bit faster.
16+ minutes! I'VE REACHED HEAVEN!
“It’s just the way of the human brain & there’s no figuring that out.”
How true! 🙂
This was the phrase that grabbed my attention too. But not because I agree with the second part of it. Because there is a clear answer to why that is and also a way of rectifying it.
Unfortunately the brain got too cozy with the way it is and there is no hope for the near future.
That Tudor Black Shield is gorgeous, wow.
This is probably your best episode. Love when you dive into the materials watches are made of. Keep up the great work!
That Oris is beautiful.
yes. I think that was a rare sight of a GOOD looking bronze watch. It really shows why it makes sense to buy a bronze diver and keep it for years. I loved it. I will have one, I know that
How can I get this kind of patina?
And imagine how great it can look if ages well
This long video length is really awesome! More will be very welcomed!
Right when I thought that Watchfinder can’t be any better a sudden shots on bronze Oris exploded my mind. Fantastic job, this is definitely your best video in my opinion. Thank you! Thank you so very much for making such a wonderful content.
Man! You are a great story teller!
The only material you didn't mention was plastic 😂
Yes - they could shoot that in a Dollar Store!
Swatch from 🇨🇭
5:17 Never knew Tudor black shield sit really well on the wrist. Such a beauty!
And who knew it would now be in purchase consideration
you must never own a matt black watch before... own one and it like own all of them... it don't had much in resale value and a lot of time you can find it...
@@campkira what the hell did you just say?
Dear UA-cam algorithms,
It doesn’t get much better than this.
Yours sincerely,
Everyone
Tantalum is another material that came to mind immediately as the video ended. Would love to see a review of the FP Journe Chronometré Bleu soon.
I love going through your video catalogue and picking out something at random. The quality of the narrative and the videography never disappoints.
Rolex have started making their watches from Unobtainium.
Out of all of those, bronze is my personal and undisputed favorite. I love how it looks when new, but even more once it's been worn and exposed to the elements.
Like a David Attenborough show but for watches. Narration and videography is amazing!
Wow! There isn't a day that passes, whereby I don't learn something new. This video combines many of those days in about 16 minutes. Amazing content. Many thanks for the video.

Beautiful footage of the Tudor Blackshield I own and love, I don't understand why it wasn't a commercial success, such a beautiful beautiful watch...
Titanium is my favorite material out of the ones listed. Even more so when you can make mirror finishes like the Grand Seiko Snowflake.
The amount of knowledge in this video!!
My man, you are an absolute legend!
Oh, you can always trust watchmakers to turn the most mundane into the most exotic - Breitling's "Breitlight", a fancy name for their proprietary plastic comes to mind.
Classic. BTW are you from Goa?
This is the best watch channel, closely followed by Horology House and I suppose the infrequent Hodinkee / Talking Watches. 😁
Paul Earley Agree. Horology House and Watchfinder are glorious!
I love Watchfinder for the narration and stories.
Love Horology House equally for the reviews and macro footage that's at least equal to WF.
It's a good day when Watchfinder releases a new video.
Definitely the most informative and educational video you have done to date. It just encompasses so many ways watches are made now and how they will be in the future and also many other things in the future.
Watchfinder & Co. needs to be on TV.
Chromecast and it is 😁
I can't be the only one in love with his voice.
I really like the idea of a bronze watch. That Oris looks astonishing. Also a big fan of Tudor’s Black Bay bronze. On the list.
There is nothing more finer then your presentation on exotic materials in watch making. To say the least I have leaned a lot.Thank you.
This could turn into an amazing series. Covering individual aspects of horology. From the raw materials to the refinement of movements over history, this would be extremely popular. I would love to see a video covering the history of dive bracelets.
Best connoisseur in watches on UA-cam,He truly knows history, materials, movements, process etc.. Keep it up mate.

Camera work second to none, with supremely enjoyable content.
The patina on that oris is just fantastic!
I typically don't like dive watches and I don't like blue, but man... that Oris bronze is beautiful.
what an absolute masterpiece of a video 10/10 across the board
Nice video
Full of knowledge and how stuff made and the direction of the industry in glance
Please do a review on the Rado Ceramica
Excited for the longest video yet!!!!!
my god your knowledge and this video was amazing. I love your channel. Keep them coming and thanks!
after listening to your talk on bronze's comeback and it's beauty, I realise how good of a writer you are (or whoever wrote the script).
This does nothing to stop me thinking I NEED a bronze diver!
Check out the Christopher Ward Trident

Kickstarter watches are usually a bad idea.
Mee too. I'm thinking about it since some time.
Tristan X I had the 38mm on my shortlist. Have just gone micro brand with a Halios Seaforth actually so more field than diver-have plenty of those. Bit left field.
RandMan14 Maybe there’s a risk element yes but you aren’t talking about Oris or CW here are you?
Amazing, love this. Thank you for delving in the details.
Beautiful! Stunning! Didn’t understand a word..................keep it coming!
I have never liked panerai until now, that Radiomir looks so refined.
So much content in only 16 minutes. Just another excellent production. One of your best and one of my favourites. Thank you 😊
One of the best watch videos on UA-cam. Informative, beautifully filmed & artfully narrated
The best educational and entertainment channel in UA-cam hands down
The patina on that Oris 😍
I really love the idea of a bronze automatic watch. I would reserve titanium to digital and smart watches as I find that the look it develops over time better suits something with a bit of tech in it.
Wow.....thanks for my science class today...bravo!
Am i the only one who is curious what microphone he is using. Those narrative is just simply mesmerizing.
Once again, what a fantastic level expertise in this video! It’s a peace of art of a video as the watches that were presented.
Why? Because I love titanium 😂
Great useful journey of materials. Well done... WatchFinder.
One of your best, handman.
I have that tudor fastrider black shield and i love it. Even at 4,995 retail imo, no other ceramic case can come close in terms of value.
by far the best narration on youtube I've heard thus far!
How about the Sandia alloy. It is made up of 90 percent platinum and 10 percent gold. The new material is apparently 100 times more wear-resistant than high-strength steel, which makes it the first metal alloy to join the same class as diamond.
Wow those close-ups are mesmerizing, stunning, thanks.
Best channel ever. Love the background music.
Superb commentary and description of composites. Glad I have discovered this channel
Titanium video without Grand Seiko mentioned?! Ahhh...that Zaratsu finish
@Watchfinder - I guess you'll just have to make a part II
Why is the hublot covered in chips?
Is it just the high zoom of the camera?
It's a pre owned watch

Great video as always. Love the topic. It would be fantastic to continue in a part two with other materials such as tantalum.
I really love the look of the bronze watches.
I only give likes to videos that make me smile at least once, but i admit this guy is 2-3-x times over the threshold lately, and all good smiles :)
AUDEMARS PIGUET ROYAL OAK OFFSHORE CHRONOGRAPH will be in my collection one day. The use of forged carbon fibers is really exotic and interesting.
you give so important information in your presentation
The videos on this channel are among the few in which I don't even skip a second!
Such a captivating video, I love it. You could have also covered the BMG Tech used in the new Panerai Submersible line.
your narrative is always exceptional
That Tudor is Awesome!!! Another great video. Thank you and keep up the great work!!!

I had to look up that H Moser Vantablack... woah.
The Oris Bronze really spoke to me. What a cool and beautiful concept.

Great video as always... learning about horology is so enjoyable with a channel like this!!!
the best video up to day!.. every detail is amazing!. great job
What about German steel or hy80? I'm quite curious about the metal seen on some German watches.
I have a watch with a carbon fibre dial and I love it. That bronze watch looks amazing though!
As always, super interesting and very well made videos. Love this channel.
