I can't stress this enough. David offers top notch content on this channel. We are blessed.
Yeah david is gangsta with this..great guy!
100% agree!
What I love the most is that David doesn't talk about plugins base on how popular they are but rather base on what they do and they quality.
David is absolutely incredible. Can't recommend him enough. The absolute truth with no frills. We are all completely blessed.
You're right and he's really a top Producer in Claas A Content ! BTW I tried a lot but I think PSP Infinity Strip is a rare Emulation a Pro Mixing Engineer really can use. It's amazing!
love the clip lights between all the plugins, that should be a default in every daw
This is a very solid option for a pack of plugins with great versatility.

Great channel strip that deserves more attention. Low cpu and zero latency makes this thing really awesome. Lots of tools for mixing and mastering,I definitely will use it more often
Thanks for posting this - have to check it out. Used to love the Vintage warmer and some of their other plugins. Two things standout as quite nice here - the auto gain compensation which will allow you to better hear what the different flavors are doing (if I understand how it is working correctly) and also the way you can switch between flavors of a module and keep the same settings. Sometimes I worry that an all in one channel strips won't be as good as dedicated modules, but it sure sounded great in the video. And apparently they spent 7 years on this.
mate i learned so many little tidbits in this one video, love the way you drop the background knowledge in all the way through the process.
Check out PSP spring verb - its INCREDIBLE!!
Great review as per usual David. I bought this as soon as it came out and have since replaced PA SSL 4K E channel strip with it on all my channels. Love the Preamps, comps, EQ and yeah that Saturator is icing on the cake. Also, the new preset manager has some excellent examples from top flight mixers. Great learning tool.
A free alternative is LOADED by Analog Obsession.
Your gear/plugins review videos are really great! This thing as a nice saturation 🙂🤘
I have this plugin and it is a beast. I have Mixbox from IK Multimedia also and I'm gonna do a shoot out between them but so far I'm giving the slight nod to the Infinity Strip. And I'm glad they fixed the bugs that were in the plugin
Great overview, Well done Thank you.
Hey David, just wanted to say hello... As always, your content is gold. Cheers.
Great tutorial again David, yeah this one is a gem. Saving up money to get this one and the one from McDSP. Bless
Last time I bought PSP Xenon Limiter and its really great! I will buy this channel strip for sure :D
I have had the Infinitystrip for about a year and I just keep on gravitating back to it. It has phenomenal compressor, great - musical filters. I can't believe that I've actually missed this update with the saturator module!
Don't you get our newsletters?
@@PSPaudioware actually no - that explains it. I will double check signing up. This update is soooo good, it makes the plugin just indispensable.
First demo I’ve heard of this one and it sounds unreal, to my ears at least. Spent too much on software lately so have to wait, I’ll probably jump on that newsletter while waiting for a sale haha
@@mrnelsonius5631 I know what you mean. I went a bit crazy on the Waves Tax day sale this week...
This plugin is amazing. I have to try it! David made it so simple. Something's telling me that it ain't gonna be so easy 😂 David, thanks!
Hey man, your channel is probably the best, top 3 in all youtube for me.
I just wanted to ask you something since you have an accent similar to mine, are you Italian?
Nice plugin ! Good examples !
When you are having fun with a plugin, we are wanting to have fun with that plugin ! So many companies make music making worst. Apple won by making things easier ! The desk is old out dated tech. If you need lots of holes then good, but it will be the mix and mastering. The box keeps getting better every year ! The Desk get older every year ! Old guitars sound better, no not really ! They are like old cars, they are old ! Side chain, mid side mix bus, faders all old tech. Replace with better ideas by better people ! Soon companies making problems will be just that a problem system ! Poor design ! Over heating, poor design ! Apple is left the pack in the dust and they haven't figured it out yet ! How many plugin's can an M1 run ? 20-40-60-100 ? Do a video ! Plaster it with plugins. Well built software needs no DSP ? Wow who thought of that ! Ease of use is better than dongles and login's ! Wow ! All the best ! Look for effective and simple to use ! Then you can have more fun with the clients ! Wow who thought of that !
Wow. I’m very into the sounds of that preamp section. Absolutely lovely. Gonna have to wait for a sale though, this one isn’t cheap (you do get a lot though). It’s more because I just discovered Nebula and splurged on a bunch of libraries. No regrets 😂🤘
Hey, I almost forgot about PSP too! I had and used a bunch of their plugs. I liked the vintage warmer and a couple of their EQs. The Neve emulation was nice too. This piece sounds good also. And again it's good to be able to use 1 plug for multiple tasks. Thanks David! I just had to go back to listen to those pre amps. The 70s version is Thick! Great minds/low mids!
How can you forget about us? Please don't.
It was about time. ;-)
Wonderful video my friend
Mix bus TV thanks for reviewing this psp infinity strip is so damm cool is my go to.
Ima have to cop that one nice video and explanation
I really love this plugin
Also the best stereo widening I've ever heard on the master control
Thank you so much for all the information that you presented in this video, and also from the other videos that you did in the past,
Could you please explain deeply a plug-in called studiorack from waves ? We really appreciate that for you, thank you so much
this and mixbox are very useful plugins
I want a video of your special light behind your desk 😂(top video and plugin!)
Love that light 👌
I've been using this since it came out.. it's my main tool for almost every situation 🤫🔥
Glad to read it.
@@PSPaudioware ❤️💯
I have it but somehow stopped using it when I got softube console 1. How would you say they compare soundwise? Do you see them being used together in some way (Except just using the saturator 😉)?
Vintage Warmer rocks very hard !
uagliooooo!!!!!
Have you checked the mcdsp 6060 ultimate module collection? It’s this kind of plug in and it’s awesome, please review it if you can 👍🏼
hey mix bus, what i should use on my mix bus?
Hey MixbusTv. love your content. The portable vocal booth that you displayed from GIK Acoustics a while back. Was it effective?
Very
@@mixbustv thx
Hey David, thank you for all your videos, my mixing skills have improved a lot with your tips! I have a question that might be interesting! I have ok sounding clean preamps at home pretty much as you find in most decent interfaces today. I was wondering if it is worth spending money on a great preamp to reamp my all my tracks to get that vibe. Is that going to work or will it not do as much as I think it will? Thank you very much!
Reamp already recorded material? Like vocals etc.. if that's what you mean not just no but hell no. Once you recorded something with a preamp, that's it, you can't "reamp' in that sense because a preamp is not just color (that's why "preamp emulations" are DS, so microphone emulations), it's slew rate, how fast or slow are on the transient, is details, low level information and a whole lot more, so no. Reamping into a preamp will arguably give you some color if the preamp is colored but coloring thru a preamp with all the amazing outboard available now is the worst way to do it.
@@mixbustv thx David!
Thx David! The Avidis EQ is also wicked nice. They just a a special for it 29USD???!!!
I recently ordered the Drawmer 1974 and I haven't received it yet but. I'm wondering how does it compare to the API 550A?
API is pure punch, Drawmer is very musical and extremely versatile. I like the Drawmer A LOT more than the 5500 (which lives on drums for me with one of the FATSO's) for 2bus and mastering, believe it or not, I sometimes prefer it to the SPL (for mixing/2bus) so that should say something. Filters are amazing, low end is amazing and workflow too, I miss the immediacy of it on 2bus as opposed to the dual control on the SPL which really is a mastering eq 101% and of course is amazing on the 2bus too but, I don't know, it's a different way to work, I use the SPL on 2bus 50% of the times "only", the rest it's just the Violet on the Fusion, and that's why I got a Flock to patch the Pultec or the Drawmer on 2bus in place of the SPL if I need (without patching shit cause I hate bays)
SPL tho' it's absolutely insane in mastering (read: for clients, no access to the mix, you can literally bring up or down ANYTHING in a mix with it and it sounds like it was like that)
@@mixbustv Thank you for answering my question my Brotha
Great indepth review for professionals, as allways. It sounds good but I am a little fed up with these analog simulation plugins. I think the future lies more in the plugins like fabfilter, sonible, oeksound, denise audio etc. We all have enough of these analog emulations and have to deal with the retro GUIs which were made for hands on adjusting and not for mouse tweaking. The future belongs to the innovators not to the emulators.
Indeed, the new sonible is 🔥
this or slate vmr?
PSP has always had great plugins and are totally underrated along with McDSP! I think they need to redo their website right away though! It's so dated and crappy I have a hard time buying a product from there with the website looking so shitty! Makes me think, "If they can't even do a website, then how are they going to make a good plugin?" But that's me though...
no it's not just you, perception is EVERYTHING, hence why some companies put more effort in their GUI, endorsee and websites than they do to make quality products. And they win, same everything else, some people know how to work smarter, they get better results with way less effort, some (like me) don't know how to work smarter so they work 10 times more and get less. Either you're wired like that or not.
Is this plugin cpu hungry?
Seems worth it alone for the auto gain function...if you stick one on each channel, play the song through once, turn the auto off then that's everything gainstaged? That could be hours saved... 🤔
That's so true
Hi David are your courses downloadable?
Pro mix academy yes, youtube no but when you're a member you can somehow download the videos
@@mixbustv ok..yes that what i meant..downloading from online...thanks bro
Is it CPU heavy?
PSP products are actually great in terms of CPU. Their coding is extremely well done.
nope
Very CPU friendly
I haven't compared it with too many channel strips, but I previously had Plugin Alliance's SSL 4k E running on all my channels and I would say it's slightly heavier than that on a project. The PSP saturator and compressors are very CPU efficent though and the most demanding parts of Infinistrip are the EQ and Preamp sections but not by much. I'm still glad I changed to Infinistrip, the sound to me is far superior to what I was using previously. I think if you compare as strip like this to PA's recent Lindell strips Infinistrip would be more efficient.
Shootout PSP Infiniy stripp vs IK Multimedia Mixbox?
And Mcdsp and slate.
