This plugin is a secret weapon to have really nice and consistent Highs on the masters, I really love it.
Hey, David. I don't comment often, but I just wanted to thank you for all the priceless insight through all the years. You've played a major role in my own growth as a producer. I owe you, bro. Thanks for everything, man!
This blew my mind. I as well never realized these side controls were there. Definitely makes this officially the best desser ever
I mixed a project with a few songs in february. All songs had a super fast top end from 4kHz onwards. Weiss Dees on, fastest attack, fastest relase, 1000:1 ratio, voila. Smooth highend, while retaining detail. Client even commended that the hi hats are bearable now, lol.
Found this demo, great stuff David. I'm doing a Weiss De-esser demo now, and with this info you provided here, it looks promising. That tweak panel is pretty hidden.
Two bands of de-essing, has Master preset of some sort. Looks like it's still a top plug-in.
One of the best plugins, and bundles ever made
Love this plugin. Been using it for years.
Always top videos.
I love the Weiss ds it's staple in music production / mastering
Great video bro, gonna start using this Deesser much more now
Awesome video man!
Just got this - so interesting to learn more about it!
You rock David!
Great video! 🐐
Defiantly worth the money for the whole bundle!
Top video as usual!
Another great and super informative video:) I have the Weiss collection and love all of it, but when you get the chance you should try the Harrison AVA De-esser. Can see you digging it and it’s way of de-essing
Thanks David!
Just wow. I own this and use it with my console 1 often but man now I need to use it in plugin mode.
I love the Weiss stuff. 10/10
You're awesome man 🤘🤘
David, please, drill a hole in the desk with a finishing cap for the USB and power cord for the Beringer controller. The cord hanging over the edge is giving me anxiety,,. hahaha
The hole would give me anxiety 😄and I move it around
Oh that soft knee is SEXY why is this not on ALL de-essers. THANK YOU for highlighting this plugin. It's going into my kit NOW!
I think I need to change my DEESER now :) Thx David
for all you do for us! George Amodei
Increadible how you can teach something new every time even on something "simple" like deessing
Very useful.
I'd love to see a video about cables.
Softube Weiss DeEss for non-Vocals;
Techivation's T-De-Esser-Pro for Vocals 2022 VST update edition.
Is rel fast for transients, rel slow for average, and rel average a knob that plays in between the 2 release times?
David, I've been patiently waiting for an in-depth review of SPL PQ .. aren't you going to do one .. ever?
It's not in the schedule for now but maybe we'll do something with SPL
I'm brand new and I wish that every single dollar I spent on plugins would have went towards hardware!
Thanks for going over this one! I did know about the >> settings but you made it clearer. I know you have the EQ-1/DS-1…curious if you’d use the EQ-MP/ CompLimiter/ or Maximizer for mastering?
The gambit you mean? C1?
@@mixbustv was thinking the individual “stripped down” Weiss plugins (I have those) but probably similar to the Gambit/C1 setup.
I have to be honest I didn't know about those settings :D
U would be suprised how many people and pirates don't read plugin manuals xD
🙏
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wondering if you think FabFilter Pro-MB can achieve similar good results, since
de-essers are a form of multi-band compression.
Just look at the controls. We are talking about extremely precise tools (this is what mastering really is), with a crazy amount of control over the finest detail. Pro-Mb is an blunt axe vs a laser scalpel (Weiss)
Hi David, do you have any courses for mixing EDM genres? If not do you recommend another one of your courses or any suggestions of other engineers courses?
I have a mastering course on Psy Trance (members only). But just so you know, pretty much all my mixing courses are conceptual, you can apply to any genre
@@mixbustv Thank you David!
you rock dude! another great vid
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Nice tips. What did you do to your face ?you look younger. I thought it was an old video. Lol
Thank you lol my gf keeps me young (er)
Don't you ever get afraid that maybe there is too much control in your hands and you end up in with a big mess using everything too much just because it's there to use? it's human nature to try out everthing, but we are not build for 1001 options. This is maybe too much philosophical but I think about it a lot ... There is so much stuff now to use and it's easy to overdo ti or doing it in a way that is not giving top resoults. I now you have "the system" that you build it from many years of trial and error but for an average Joe this must be a nightmare. There is not much time passed using one thing, we are already to some new thing, and the resoult is not what it could be if we sticked to one thing long enough and mastered it. I don't now maybe I'm wrong, but I watch your videos and there is so much tools and combinations it's just crazy. It's more like a lottery for most people to do it right, having so much power at their disposal.
That's one of the differences between newbies and experienced engineers. Don't do anything just because you can
All mastering sounds the same now digital cold and brittle lifeless please bring back 2 inch tape analog mastering
Lol I think you missed the gear that's surrounding me
@@mixbustv oh rad you master to 2 inch tape? Awesome 👍
@@atta1798 awesome thanks
