My exposure to the Scorpions was 1982 while stationed at Aviano Air Force Base in Italy. I'm now 68 years old and still rocking out to them. The greatest rock band to ever come out of Germany.
That's so right, but many in Germany sadly don't think so.

@@quintondees4501 , I retired from the Air Force in 1992. I got to Germany a few times while at Aviano, once for Oktoberfest in Munich. And yes, the Scorpions were awesome.
I was first introduced to them in 1979 in Busan, Korea. Still rocking to them too

Scorpion are the undisputed kings of the hard rock ballad. Who says metal isn't romantic?
Scorpions are one of the greatest rock bands of all time, so many classic songs.
My wife occasionally asks me what interests me so much about watching people react.
This video is a perfect example of how I answer her every time.
To see wonderful people like yourselves be introduced to the same music I ratted the streets to with my boys as teenagers is a joy that no words can express.

This was one of my goto bands back in high school...I would pop a cassette tape with the Scorpions and Def Leppard in, and ride my motorcycle through the mountains. It was a great time, I miss those 80's 👍👍

Blackout was the first Scorpion's album I had. This whole album is great. Scorpions still rockin in the their 70's.

I had other Scorpion records before Blackout... but this was definitely my favorite. Also, the Blackout tour was the first time I saw them live!

One of the things I love about Scorpions is not only are their songs fantastic but they have a sound that is unique and you always KNOW who it is! Takes me back to high school!
Love this reaction. The way Asia always makes that little smile and looks at BJ when he ain't looking. I grew up with my dad playing scorpions. He was a single dad and he took me everywhere with his friends. They always had the car hot boxed and I can still remember being in a daze. LOL.

I'm going to see the Scorpions tomorrow in San Antonio. I first saw them on the Blackout Tour in '82... 40 years ago! This will be my 6th or 7th Scorps concert. This song is one of their encore songs on the current tour. They rocked the 80's for sure, but don't sleep on their new album, Rock Believer. Still amazing stuff for our German brothers!
I'm in San Antonio and would love to see them again! But I'm old and fat and can't fit in the Freeman seats...sad...crying...

*Scorpions were one of my favorites...ever since their Lovedrive album. Even got me a tattoo of a Scorpion because of their songs...not because I am a Scorpio. Their albums Lovedrive and Animal Magnetism are their best from the first song to the last on each.*
That is the truth, Lovedrive and Animal Magnetism are both amazing and heavy songs and albums. Does not get much better for me. Anything to do with the Schenkers works in my world. Rock On! 🎸

This was the first Music Video I saw on MTV. They didn't have MTV yet on our local cable, but they did in Atlanta where I was visiting. So for me this is forever connected to early MTV.
They are one of the best bands ever and Klaus is an extraordinary vocalist
The way the guitars sing in this song is so great. Second fav song. Wind of Change is my fav, and I don't know if I could have a dry eye listening to Wind of Change live right now with everything going on in Ukraine. That song marked the hope of peace, the end of the cold war, I remember watching the Berlin Wall come down and the collapse of the USSR and the hope we could live in peace together as brothers and sisters. Hurts so much knowing the iron curtain is back up. You guys should go back and rewatch your old reaction and read the comments to that song before you go to the concert. It was the equivilant of Bob Dylan's Times Are A-Changing for our generation.

Scorpions are an incredible band!! This album was one of the greatest of the 1980’s. This one featured Matthias Jabs on lead guitar. To hear phenomenal axe-wielding, you have to listen to their tracks with Uli Jon Roth (the greatest) on lead, or Michael Schenker (another of my favorite) holding it down. Big shout to Klaus Meine with absolutely fantastic vocals on his singing, as always!! Great work, Asia & BJ!!!

I haven't read all the comments and don't know if it has already been written: The Scorpions were formed in the late 60s and were very successful first in Japan, and a few years later in the US. They were only famous in Germany in the end of the 80s. But the longest success was celebrated in the US, that's where they had the most fans and the funny thing was that until they went back to Germany, hardly anyone in the US knew that it was a german band.

The music video was filmed at Alcatraz Island in San Francisco. Such a cool band and song. I really like his voice. "Rock You Like A Hurricane" is my favorite from them.
