Live performance from Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson at the concert for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum opening in 1995. Original song by Led Zeppelin.
Hard pressed to find a better cover of Zeppelin or any other rock song for that matter. Absolutely stunning vocals and Nancy's mandolin playing is sublime!
I feel like I just finally witnessed perfection. Unbelievable. That this was live is even more remarkable. I think this performance proves once and for all that Nancy's pipes were every bit as potent as Ann's. They both have immense talent.
Best Dam Lady Rock and Rollers I've Ever Seen!!!! Saw them in 1985 as a15 yr old, thought I was gonna see a soft rock band= these dreams & they Opened with Barracuda! Blown Away from note 1= they got a New Fan in me! They played all their older hits I had never heard, Then at the End they Went Right Into Black Dog and Rock-n-Roll by Zeppelin and the Whole Fucking Place went NUTS! They CRUSHED those last 2!!Been consuming all their Greatest Music ever since. God Bless Ann and Nancy Wilson! I Really Hope they put their differences aside and Reconcile before moving on from this world. PEACE and Love All KEEP ON ROCKIN
My exact sentiments. The joy Nancy and Ann show in their performance is incredible. But how can you not feel the energy playing Zep songs. They are probably the only ones that can get away with it. Ann's voice is so amazing when she sings Zep songs. Her throttle is crazy. Making it look so effortless. What a friggen powerhouse. Nancy is definitely engaged into the song. Her presence behind her instrument really stands above many artists. Just rocking that mandolin. Her voice is just shadow because of Ann's dominant voice, but damn she wouldn't be to far from reality if she was a lead singer just like Ann. They have their crafts mastered thats for sure. True rock pioneers. They could never get enough recognition for what they have done musically
Those sisters are amazing. I say this on many music threads but I was damn lucky to have grown up during this amazing musical journey. The Wilson girls are a huge part of that. Thank y’all also!
This is probably the best that this song has ever been done even by Zeppelin and unless this was edited Ann and Nancy harmonized better than Robert and Alison live just unbelievable excellence and quality
I've always heard the live version of the Wilson sisters performing this song, but seeing it as well is another story. I don't think there is another duo who could possibly perform a cover of this song to such perfection.
Couldn’t agree more. Almost moved to tears. Absolutely fantastic. The whole scene in the early ‘90s and the soundtrack to Singles with this included was an epic time. Thanks for posting
I came here from watching Ann and Nancy with John Bonham's son and a great backing band cover "Stairway To Heaven" at the Kennedy Honors performance video. This is an amazing cover. Vocals are so strong, and the mandolin playing just great!
Thank you SO much for uploading a quality capture of this EPIC performance! I recall seeing this live on TV and thought, damn I should have recorded this! Great to see it online!
Just two women representing their band "Heart" and paying tribute to 'Led Zeppelin" at the same time with nothing more than a mandolin and an acoustic guitar at a 7 hour concert that featured many rock/pop/R&B legends. They stole the show. Amazing!
not gonna lie i prefer this to the original .....something about seeing the alternating vocals hits the spot for me ,its so satisfying .....on the led zep original roberts and sandys vocals are indistinguishable in parts but seeing it here is like hearing a new song after all these years
I grew up hearing this and other renditions of the Lovemongers covering Led Zeppelin countless times due to my mother's obsession with the Wilson sisters and her MANY bootlegs. Fantastic stuff 👍
I got chills listening to these two, possibly the most amazing bad ass women in rock. I just saw Robert Plant & Alison Krauss perform this (it was incredible), and wow the Wilson sisters BRING IT BACK!! Didn’t think anyone else could pull it off but leave it to them to deliver. I loved Heart as a teenager and still do.
If you really listen to the lyrics, and allow yourself to "lose yourself" in space and time, and fall into what they are saying, then it is truly terrifying. I mean, I know it's just a song, and yet I am sitting here literally shaking.
THANK YOU for uploading this! I was at this very concert at old Cleveland Municipal Stadium. What an awesome set and I specifically remember me and my buddies just got blown away by Ann and Nancy’s performance. It was sheer perfection. Everything about this performance was perfect. THE SINGING (which I agree with many here that Nancy doesn’t get nearly enough credit for her obvious singing talent. But that just shows how unbelievably great Ann’s talent is - it’s on another level - a gift from another plane of existence or something.) THE GUITAR AND MANDOLIN STRUMMING was impeccable. THE TIMING was as if Ann and Nancy had played their whole lives together or something! 😜 Technically flawless. It brings back great memories. To this day, I think that was the best Rock and Roll concert I had ever been to. The Hall of Fame talent on those stages was unreal. Everyone had such a great time (except for the lunatic who jumped onto the stage and tried to take out Springsteen). It was a concert that did the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame opening ceremonies justice. It’s sad to know that I’ll never see a concert like that again for the rest of my life. But, I’m so glad I went. Again, thanks for uploading this. 🤘🎤🎸🥁🎹🤘
OMG! I haven't seen this performance before, and haven't seen them perform this song since their Desire Walks On tour. It was one of my favorite moments of the concert; the second being Black on Black, as they came back from the 20 minute break with the band in full. I can still hear their performance in my head for year; even if I could never properly describe it to anyone, just how amazing it was! Thanks for posting this
I was actually there, and let me tell you, any fan of Rock music should have seen this. It was absolutely MAGICAL. It was a concert that marked the opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. It was a real treat and one experience I was lucky enough to have. The talent there that night was incredible. I’m not exaggerating when I say that there must have been about 25 or so acts who performed that night that are currently in the Rock Hall! When I tell people that, they don’t believe me and I have to dig up the set list on the Internet to prove it to them. They all stand there with their jaws to the floor. 🤯 Lol. It was and will always be the greatest rock concert I will have ever experienced. 🤘🎤🎸🥁🎹🤘
The two sisters saw Zeppelin play in 1969 at a small outdoor theater at Green Lake in Seattle. It was Zeppelin's first American tour and they would play anywhere. I'm sure that concert made an impression.
Only Heart can do Led Zeppelin, while being Heart and Led Zeppelin at the same time !
Heart are the best interpreters of Led Zeppelin ever. Respect.
Amen Richard!💜
This. Yes.
Stairway to heaven, another.
For some strange reason I started liking Evermore
Yup. They get it. They have the same energy and it just flows
Nancy really needs more recognition as a singer. She's amazing
Her voice has always been recognized
Even more recognition as an unbelievable guitarist, she's got chords and I sound and versatility that no one else does
I think I still have the hots for her.
Listen to their hit "These Dreams"
Her brother Ann is quite good as well
Holy fuck who knew that Nancy could sing like that, I mean we all know about Ann but damn.
"these dreams" did.
Led Zeppelin's most underrated song.
I saw this live....I can now die.
Now THAT is something ! How lucky are you ? Must have blown your mind .
How lucky! I think I would've cried so much lol
@carloslopes5907 I saw this performance live in 95 it was amazing and only performance I remember!
Words fail. Perfection.
Best Led Zeppelin cover ever! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Baddest chicks on the planet.
37 people have NO CLUE how fucking amazing of a job these women do when they cover this epic song
Hard pressed to find a better cover of Zeppelin or any other rock song for that matter. Absolutely stunning vocals and Nancy's mandolin playing is sublime!

thats the queen of hearts and the queen of diamonds your listening to
This really highlights Nancy's voice in a way I've never heard before. I love them live or recorded. This is more organic and personal.
So good to hear Nancy singing usualy dont gel to hear her so well ,&very very beautiful together
Their obvious joy in this performance shines through. That’s what they signed up for.

Led Zeppelin the Rock Gods meet your Rock Goddesses
These sisters always have, and probably always will, give me goose bumps when I hear them perform.
They always have, given me a woody 😜
it does the original tremendous justice. what an impeccable re creation this is some of ann and nancys best work
Should have been the halftime show.
Those sisters are amazing. I say this on many music threads but I was damn lucky to have grown up during this amazing musical journey. The Wilson girls are a huge part of that. Thank y’all also!
I have every album, cassette no they rhythm well together, sounds like a karaoke party sat night
Jeezus H......these two are otherworldly........beyond exceptional in every facet.
Absolutely stunning ❤
Stunning! This old Vietnam combat veteran is finding it hard to type. " ...Mortals never know ... "
I NEED Heart to make a Led Zeppelin tribute album…Now
This is probably the best that this song has ever been done even by Zeppelin and unless this was edited Ann and Nancy harmonized better than Robert and Alison live just unbelievable excellence and quality
totally agree, even better then Zeppelin's version, nobody does Led Zeppelin better then Heart
totally agree. Much more faithful to the original than any Zep or Plant performance.
Let's not be silly now
@@mckay1402 nobody is being silly, Hearts version is just that good
But the original studio version by Robert and Sandy beats all
Always sends a chill down the spine whenever I hear it.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing !
I've always heard the live version of the Wilson sisters performing this song, but seeing it as well is another story. I don't think there is another duo who could possibly perform a cover of this song to such perfection.
So happy to hear this......
Bring it back...bring it back...bring it back
Just one word: AMAZING!!!!!!!!
powerful voices!,nice instrament!!
Awesome performance of a great song. I have loved this on for decades and didn't know that it was about "The Lord Of The Rings".
The rawness of Ann's voice in 4:55-4:57 is so fantastic.
Omg the best ever cover ❤️
Couldn’t agree more. Almost moved to tears. Absolutely fantastic. The whole scene in the early ‘90s and the soundtrack to Singles with this included was an epic time. Thanks for posting
Absolutely KILLED it!!!!!
Ihr wart und seid so gut.
I love the Wilson sisters!
Love the song, and absolutely love their version…true artistry!!!
I came here from watching Ann and Nancy with John Bonham's son and a great backing band cover "Stairway To Heaven" at the Kennedy Honors performance video. This is an amazing cover. Vocals are so strong, and the mandolin playing just great!
Howling, Primordial Amazon woman screams.... I love it
A lot of amazing female artists. We will never see anything like heart and the Wilson sisters again. Amazing!

They do an amazing job whenever they do this song.

They out Zeppelin, Zeppelin!❤️
One of the most epic performances of all time. Woah.
How did I just now(2023) find out about the Heart version of "The Battle of Evermore"?
that’s outrageous.
Absolutely brilliant. No other words.
Listening to All American girls sing an English/Welsh folk song is incredible!
Led Zeppelin WISHES they were this good live. I listened to it seven times in a row. my god those girls can sing.
Thank you SO much for uploading a quality capture of this EPIC performance!
I recall seeing this live on TV and thought, damn I should have recorded this! Great to see it online!
Two beautiful women.
Just two women representing their band "Heart" and paying tribute to 'Led Zeppelin" at the same time with nothing more than a mandolin and an acoustic guitar at a 7 hour concert that featured many rock/pop/R&B legends. They stole the show. Amazing!
Superb!
The only Led Zeppelin song that’s better than the original.
not gonna lie i prefer this to the original .....something about seeing the alternating vocals hits the spot for me ,its so satisfying .....on the led zep original roberts and sandys vocals are indistinguishable in parts but seeing it here is like hearing a new song after all these years
I was there. I lived in Akron Ohio at the time. This recording sounds better than live! Thank you!!!
How Awesome for you! I like in Akron! Stay safe! Rock on!
If ever a cover was made that eclipsed the original it was this version
This is amazing! Something about families being able to gel their voices is always inspiring.
That was fantastic
They're really feeling the song
Heart owned this and stairway. It seems Jimmy wrote those songs specifically for them
Well done Ladies!!!
Truly goddess in my eye
I watch this one often! My favorite!!! ❤️
Simply stunning ❤️
Powerful and beautiful
Thank you for sharing ,🙏
goosebumps at 3:35; what an incredible duo
I really can hear the influence of this song in Heart’s Dream of the Archer.
One of my fav Led Zep songs and sung to perfection by one of my fav rock bands.
Awesome
Magical! 👏👏👏👏👏
I grew up hearing this and other renditions of the Lovemongers covering Led Zeppelin countless times due to my mother's obsession with the Wilson sisters and her MANY bootlegs. Fantastic stuff 👍
These ladies shred.
my hair is still standing up from a rush of pure adrenaline to the brainstem

Just two women having the time of their lives, Love Heart
It's amazing!!!❤
Espectacular. Me encanta 😍😍😍😍
LOVE THIS!!!
The two sisters saw Zeppelin play in 1969 at a small outdoor theater at Green Lake in Seattle. It was Zeppelin's first American tour and they would play anywhere. I'm sure that concert made an impression.
The only one that even comes as close to doing led Zeppelin covers this well is another Seattle native,
Mr. Chris Cornell. R. I. P....
Love these gals.
Holy shit, and WOW this is great
Couldn't have said it better myself!
