That scene with 4 insulting her when she’s in the air duct is just brilliant. Says so much about them both. 4 doesn’t really mean it and he knows it will offend Sarah to be thought of like a damsel in distress, which will make her want to prove him wrong and get out of it, which she does. As soon as she’s safe, he tells her how proud he is of her despite her calling him all the names under the Sun. He knows she doesn’t mean it, she’s just angry in the moment 😂
I don’t think Tom Baker ever got over her. The actor admitted at a con in 1993 that he fell in love with Elisabeth but never told her because she was married. I think his feelings for her really bled into the onscreen relationship. Four and Sarah Jane’s chemistry together was the best!

no, When I made the thumbnail I didn't know I'd have to split it into parts, so the thumbnail was for a while Tom in his Grey coat from a story of the next season, However I didn't want to change the thumbnail since it was recognisable to this video so I changed the coat to match his season 12 Coat. What does it say about those working on the show today that the Doctor has to have a sexual interest in his companions or those he encounters? It cheapens the character who is suposed to be above such human frailties. The relationship between the Doctor and Sarah is warm and sincere and based on recognising the good in each other and is far more emotionally engaging for that. If only todays writers had any comprehension of such things..
