It’s my first time making arroz con leche. This recipe was easy to follow and it was delicious!! Glad I found your page! PS I like mine cold. Warm is good too but as a child we ate it cold.
Que triste? Dique cashew milk, more like nut pudding. I’m playing pero no, like get him an allergy test and medicine so he can eat dairy again. Allergies can be cured if you’re willing to endure the discomfort for 6-18 months. What’s a bit of discomfort for a lifetime of yum? Well, ninja keep eating your nut pudding
Hi, I loveeee your channel and you help me go back to my child hood when mi abuela used to cook all of this. She recently passed so I want to learn all her cuban dishes and you have them all 💙 thank you so much. I want to request if you could make a video on toastada cubana (cuban bread and butter toasted for those who don’t know) for breakfast. You know how cubans love their toastada for breakfast con cafe con leche. I mean however you make that breakfast do so, I just do not see any videos on Cuban toastada on UA-cam and I think there should be although it is very simple. Again thank you for this beautiful channel and I hope you can make the video for us 💙💙💙💙
I usualy use plant based milk for healthier version but i have to admit now that i ve done your recipe it is the very best for a creamy rice pudding. Regarding sugar 1/2 cup was more than enough. Amazing flavour and so much easier to make and quicker than on the stove for the rice part. Let s just see what the dominican guy in the house has to say about it lol thanks! Love your recipes!
I really enjoy your video I was born in Dominican Republic in 1956 I came out here in 1963 with my mother unfortunately my mother died 3 years after she retired from her nursing career and she used to make rice pudding God when I seen you making this rice pudding and reminded me so much of my mother's rice pudding . So actually I'm trying to make Dominican rice pudding for the first time in my life. I remember she used to make me avena and that was so delicious too ❗ thank you so so much for making this video and don't stop from Los Angeles California
Thank you!!!!!!! My husband and I decided to add so many of the funny moments throughout the videos now because it goes down sometimes whenever we film 😅
I loved the little gadget you use for the cinnamon powder. My aunt used to make the best arroz con leche, sadly I never got her recipe. I love mine creamy and warm. YUMMALIOUS 😘
i love this recipe! it reminds me of my moms arroz con leche, that lime peel is next level i love the smell and taste if it 💖💖 i’d love to see a farina recipe !
Definitely going to try this with some plant-based milk as I have a family history of Cancer and need to avoid all the estrogen in dairy--thanks for posting
My favorite. Rice pudding. Love how easy it was done. Will definitely try it. Love at any temperature. By the way where can i purchase the cinnamon sprinkler u used?. Thanks.
Chef zee !!!!!! Btw I tried your chili lime chicken and have made it like 3x already 😍😍😍😍.... love Arros con leche ! Sometimes il like it hot BUT cold always is great ❤ depends on how I feel.... also soooo happy you did this video, my husband is Dominican and for some reason his family adds salt to it instead of sugar 🤢 .... lmaoooo love them but idntk what that is 😂😂😂 I only know the sugar version.
I like it warm and without sugar.. since we have arroz con leche y arroz con dulce. I have try it with a bit of sugar and is good too, I be putting some cocoa powder as well. Nice video! And great recipe!
Hi Chef Zee. Is the 2 cups rice the total after cooked or before. Also did you shut off the milk before you put the rice in or after? Thank you so much. I’ve been trying hard to make my Dominican grandmothers arroz con leche but I’ll never be able to ; honestly. She was a superb cook. I do make a recipe I found on UA-cam that’s made in an instapot and it’s delicious. But I’d love to try this recipe because like you I want it to be as close to my grandmothers as possible. Thank you. This recipe looks awesome.
Can you add raisins and nutmeg I'm Puerto Rican and I was taught to make the tea but this shortcut makes it easy for me, usually, a little long process, especially grating coconut, squeezing the coconut milk, too much work, and I was taught this way but my hand and arms get tired especially when I do this by myself. Thank you for the shortcuts.❤
A lot of people add raisins and nutmeg. I say go for it. I love cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg. Sometimes a splash of rose water. I never grew up with lime juice with it I definitely should try it out.
Hot like a Dinner 🍲 Cold like a dessert 🍮
That lime peel is how you know this recipe is legit.
Please do Avena! It was my favorite growing up. Also. Would love to see arepa dulce. Love your channel!
Thank you!!! Both of those videos are actually up on my channel 🥰
Totally!!!!
Girl u over did it! I grew up in DR we used condensed milk not all the ither crap
condensed milk is what you needed to add instead of more sugar and milk, like that it can be more flavorable and sweet
That sounds like like a good idea
Yup!
That’s a different recipe.
Latinoamérica uses regular milk in the south, condensed milk in the north.
It’s a matter of taste
Hot or cold it's delicious! Childhood memories galore! Oh, the clavos!😋 Sometimes my mom would add raisins too.
Yes!!! Raisins are a classic touch. I completely forgot to mention that 😵💫
It’s my first time making arroz con leche. This recipe was easy to follow and it was delicious!! Glad I found your page! PS I like mine cold. Warm is good too but as a child we ate it cold.
Klk this is my first time learning how to make this thank you do much it so good, i like to eat it warm. 😊😊
I can wait to make it! I like mines warm and with some raisins.
I forgot to mention that raisins are optional! I like it warm too.
I made a dairy free version of this with cashew milk for my husband because he's allergic to milk and he loveddddd it! Thanks chef Zee 😊
Que triste? Dique cashew milk, more like nut pudding. I’m playing pero no, like get him an allergy test and medicine so he can eat dairy again. What an odd reply @Swankyangelo8527. Anyway, the cashew milk is a great substitution. I will be trying!
Great recipe! Exactly how my mom used to make, plus a star anise for extra flavor. And raisins. Thanks girl! ❤
Oh man I need to try this with star anise. That sounds amazing!
wtf is wrong with you putting raisins
I love it both ways hot and cold. Yes the texture changes between both temps.
That's the beauty with this dish is that you can have it a variety of different ways.

Can you do arroz con dulce 😍
How much evaporated milk was that?
2 cans so roughly 3 cups 🥰
Warm all day everyday lol
Hey guys, silly question but does anyone know the size of the pot being used in the video? I know my 4 qt isn’t large enough 😅
Hola quiero que haga arroz con leche y majarete
Arroz con leche y majarete
I definitely eat mine hot definitely
It hits differently when it's hot. I agree.
room temp is the way to do it
thanks, add a pinch of ground cardamom, just a tiny pinch, you will be surprised
1.5 cups is waaay too much sugar for my taste. 1/2-3/4 cup would be perfect for me
I completely understand! The beauty with these recipes is that you can adjust to your liking. Thank you for watching 🤗
