    Pretty sure it has been documented that 20% overload/ underload is the sweet spot for this. Not a bad thing to do, but 70oz is WAY too heavy.

      The research is based on thousands of kids who we have worked with and increased bat speed on. Or does it have to come out of a lab from someone in a lab coat?

      Nah he is right swinging repeatedly with a heavier bat will make you stronger and more used to higher weights so when you drop back down to the regular weight it feels lighter

  • @Joeshmo042
    @Joeshmo042 Рік тому +3

    This is false. The perception of lightness when in contrast to something heavy doesn’t make you bat speed increase. What you’re actually describing is weight training lol

      @WORKHUSTLEKILLx Рік тому

      Theoretically, won’t weight training increase bat speed?

    • @Joeshmo042
      @Joeshmo042 Рік тому

      @@WORKHUSTLEKILLx yes it will, no need to be theoretical about it. But putting a weight on a bat for some practice swings before you take real game swings isn’t increasing your bat speed

      @@Joeshmo042except that’s not what he’s saying. He actually is talking about weight training and not just using for a few practice swings before an at bat.
      It’s the same science for pitchers when they do weighted ball training. It’s a workout that’s has to be done 2-3 times a week for about 6 weeks to start seeing results.
