In this video, we look at neutrophils, macrophages and phagocytosis. First we explore the different categories of white blood cells. We then look at how neutrophils carry out phagocytosis and the role of opsonins. Then, we explore the role of macrophages as antigen-presenting cells. Finally, we look at cytokines.

Hi sir, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your videos helped me immensely in my revision period. I started properly studying just under 3 months before the exam and my main source of knowledge were your videos. I studied hard and ended up getting good grades (most 7s and 8s in chem, phys and maths).
I am now studying in a top london uni and in my 3rd year already. I just wanted to let you know how much of a difference you are making and have made in the past. You were quite literally my main teacher.
Thank you for all you have done.
Best,
Your Student from 2018
Thanks for your message and your kind words. I'm glad that my videos helped you during your GCSEs and congratulations on your grades. I hope that you are enjoying your time at university.
Excuse me Dr. Sciencelessons, when does your A-Level Biology book drop? We love you
Thank you also for all your amazing work and aid for our science knowledge. They really are very useful and I ever need to know something that I am currently studying etc, I always try to see if you have a video up before anyone else. The way you explain them make even the most complex of things easy to absorb.
Loving that fresh trim sir
Thank you so much for continuing to post videos, they have helped me SO much!! I was just wondering if the content in this video was all for AS biology, or some of it is covered in year 2 as well?
Thanks for the comment. This material is in the AS specs but there might be some elements that reappear in Year 2.
Hi firstly can I just thank you so much for all these videos they are truly so useful and you have helped millions of students achieve their dreams. Im currently studying gcse triple science but at A level I will be taking eduqas biology and chemistry, do you know how similar eduqas is to the other more common exam boards? Thank you again :)

Thanks that really helped me
Love your content
My son used your lessons for his gcse physics and chemistry and found them tremendously helpful. He's now doing A-Level Physics. I know you don't make lesson videos for this, but I was hoping you might have a recommendation for other videos that cover Physics that he could use? There are a huge number of resources, but it's very hard to know which ones are really good.
Hi and thanks for the comment. Physics Online is highly rated for A level Physics videos so I would recommend those.
@@Freesciencelessons Thanks for the recommendation! I'll pass that on to him.
@@dougclinton2014 also Zphysics if he is using OCR A
Thanks a bunch sir🙏
Thank you 😊
Hi, will you cover A level Physics by any chance? Thanks
I'm so glad I moved to set 1
Afternoon sir. How do I retain information about Required practicals? Because that’s probably what I struggle with the most when it comes to learning the content. Is there any advice or tips you could give me in order for me to be able to remember how to do certain practicals?
Try to reduce them to the smallest number of steps (what you are changing - IV, what you are measuring for each change - DV and what you are keeping constant - CV). Include key apparatus for each of those and make sure that you state them in the correct order (ie what you change has to happen before what you measure for each change). Write them on flashcards and repeat them until you know them.
Thanks for the advice sir.
go and do the practicals
Thank you sir🎉
@freesciencelessons, In your GCSE Biology "stem cells" video, you explain how a bone marrow transplant is done. But it doesn't mention this on the AQA spec or any other resources. May I ask why you included it?
It's on page 21 of the AQA Biology spec. "Treatment with stem cells may be able to help conditions such as diabetes and paralysis". Also, I have updated the thumbnails as I had a couple of queries on whether my videos are still appropriate for the 2023 exams, which they are as the spec has not changed.
@@Freesciencelessons Yeah I saw that on the spec, but it doesn't specifically mention bone marrow transplants and how it's done. I apologise if I'm being a little stubborn, but it's just so I don't waste time learning things I don't need. So, do we need to know about bone transplants like you taught it in the video or no?
Yes, I only put things in the videos that you need to know.
@@Freesciencelessons So we have to know how a bone marrow transplant is done as you explained in the video?
Hello sir, I just wanted to ask are you done with this playlist? (Immune system)? Thanks :)
Hi. I still have a few more videos to add. I'll be uploading more this week.
@@Freesciencelessons Thank you sir! Just wondering, do you have videos on Osmoregulation (a level) and the Endocrine system (a level)?
please do some a level physics videos
hello sir, i'm going to the buy chemistry paper 1 but i don't know which one is the best i'm trying to do higher paper let me know which one is the best for your 9-1 chemistry paper 1 please reply ASAP. btw i find your videos really helpful.
Hi. If you are doing Triple Science then you need the Triple Chemistry 1 book. If you are doing Combined Science, then you need the Combined Science Chemistry 1 book.
@@Freesciencelessons ok thank you so much
Please can you do Physics A level
Sean I love you so much
