New models of the M365 already have a protective piece of metal installed for the wire. I purchased mine last month and I discovered it today when I wanted to install the mudguard. Good job Xiaomi for fixing this issue!

My fender bracket comes off every 100m at the same points as you show in the 3.59 minute mark . Still looking for a solution that doesn't involve glue. Did you fix this?

@@056479335 I have used a dollop of white tac (white blue tac) for now and its absolutely bliss the lack of rattle. Ive since pondered silicone or hot glue myself more and think ill be going with my original plan as the white tac does give when you hit a bump but silicone will definitely hold fast 👍

This is only necessary if you ride off road terrain right? I’d rather not risk messing with it unless necessary. I only use my scooter on roads/sidewalks and city bike paths (black cement not trails)

I would say yes, but you still want a piece of plastic to cover the wire which this does as it gets worn down (probably by small stones and such) which in the end will expose your wire and kill your backlight. Just put this kind of guard on mine and my wire was a bit worn down (no metal exposed). Btw it's supposed to fit snuggly and not lose like his. I just bought mine on Wish and it sits very well.

My bracket wiring channel was.on the wrong side. SO I just used dbl sided tape the conecv it. Strong as can be expected
