I said "I love you" to my new Pro 2 yesterday! We might get married soon. She can´t say no, she´s a scooter! :-D
Treat her well 😆♥️
I bought one 5 days ago lol and I’ve bought a phone holder for her already
@@Haroonkhan-oe9io respect! ♥
@@SlammDunkProductions thanks do u mind if u can give me a phone holder for my pro 2 for free
Can you tell me if it's possible to add another powered wheel in to my E scooter
Dude I like your videos and recommendations in this particular one but just to set this straight: You don't need a 300W generator to charge the m365 pro nor a 250W to charge the m365. Both m365 & m365 pro come with a charger that is capable of charging 2 Amps @ 42V so 84W of power to the battery. That'll draw about 100W out of the socket in practice (considering transformer losses). The given capacity of the m365 pro is 484Wh so in theory you should be able to charge it in 6 hours (@ 84W) but losses inside the battery account for a 33% longer charging time of about 8 hours.
The 250W (300W respectively) of the m365 (pro) is what the motor is consuming when you are cruising but is not directly related to charging the battery. Think about the start motor of a (fossil fuel) car: When you start your car, the electric starter motor draws dozens (sometimes even hundreds) of Amps out of the 12V battery for some seconds, but still the alternator in the car only recharges it @ 5-10 Amps.
🤯
I thought the same thing.... Motor Watt rating has nothing to do with charging Watt rating. The Watt rating of the generator you need is the Amps X Volts of your charger plus a little extra
Yes absolutely.
It also is NOT a bloody generator. It is simply a big beefy battery pack or power bank. There is a whole world of difference.
@@rationalmartian I will just say sorry, because you sound dead angry over a simple mistake. All the best. 🤞
also you dont need a generator at all. a simple boost converter to 42v and a battery of your choice is enough. no need to have a DC battery, a built-in AC converter and the standard power supply making it DC again... which is a hell of a waste of energy...
Just a suggestion for security :
Use copper tape parallel across the handles and the floorboard, then attach each end of the copper tape to your battery. Whoever holds the scoot and touches both of them tapes will get a shocking surprise.
I see 20 or more of that kind of videos, that is definitely the best one , really helpful
Super appreciated buddy. Take you found it helpful. Cheers for the feedback 🙂❤️
Great video. Friendly host, authentic, relaxed, honest, truly agnostic (even though he's basing his decision on the M365), and of course, informative with good arguments and explanations.
Aww thats really cool feedback to give buddy, super appreciated! Its nice to feel like i'm getting better at this UA-cam malarky! Glad you enjoyed and wish you all the best. Thanks for watching SmoothMarx 🙏✌🙂

Ahh thats cool of you to say so. Im happy you found it useful 🙂 all the beat ✌️❤️
This is the first electric scooter vid that I have seen that mentions the scooter's security. I would like to see a full vid comparing all security devices considering, scooters can cost from 250-5000.
Good idea!... Thank you for the feedback I will see what I can do 😊✌️
You're an absolute legend mate. My scooter arrives tomorrow and I've purchased the dampeners, alarm lock and the hook. I'm v keen on the phone holder and the storage unit.
AHH that's awesome buddy, I super appreciate the feedback 🙂 I know how handy some of these things are and with so many alternatives I just wanted to nudge people in the right direction. Nr. 0 - helmet
Those vibration dampers are a godsend, i also thought mine was about to break lol
yeah the difference a tiny piece of plastic/rubber makes is amazing 🙂✌
@@SlammDunkProductions I bought some dampers but am unable to close the folding mechanism with the thinnest one inserted, no matter how much I loosen the mechanism.
am I missing sth?
@@-morrow ah buddy that's pretty normal. There is a bolt on front of hinge, just need to loosen it very slightly until you can close the latch. 🙂👍
SlammDunk Productions does those dampers works normally on the long term ?
Great video - really informative. Thank you!
Ahh thank you so much Shristi i appreciate that. Glad i was able to help 👍🙏❤️
Amazing video! I love (and I’ve bought) the alarm one. Thanks for your tips!
I removed the link for alarmed lock because one shown in video is wrong size...too big. I hope you double checked? Appreciate the feedback Gilberto ✌️❤️
SlammDunk Productions Yes, I make a search and a got a similar one (I think 😬)
I agree with everything except the wire lock, that can be snipper with 5$ pliers in one second. That makes it useless even in crowded/high security places.
Rather get a U-lock and put it through rear wheel and disc or the frame bar near the front wheel if its tight enough.
I'm pretty sure I said I DON'T recommended the wire lock. Also the wire is just a reminder cable... Not the actual disk lock... Do t need to use the wire if you don't want to. The lock I recommend has an alarm built In. Tha ks for the feedback though 😊 all the best 👍
Exactly. And not only that, if you follow LockPickingLawyer, you know that these are usually quite easy to pick or even bypass.
Nothing beats a good old U-Lock.
Even though U-Lock is less portable, It offers peace of mind (unless you bough cheap one).
3:40 yeah I lost that, I actually didn't even know I used to have one :))
Haha thats my favourite comment so far! 😂 thank you! 🙂✌
When i unpacked my 365 there was some of my kids old toys that were going to trash on the floor next to me and that cap had rolled there from the box. Just realized now that it wasn't a toy..
Haha I lost mine on the first ride but have only just realised... I saw it when I unboxed and thought okay wow its soft and rubbery and then when I got back I was like hmm sure that was rubbery earlier but maybe it's metal.
I got mine through pure electric and they sent me a replacement free of charge. :)
yup i did the same, and i'm watching this on the second day of owning the scooter, only 20 km done so far,i'll see if i can 3d print something out of ninja flex and just glue it on with some elastic glue, although i rarely fold the scooter so i guess it's not needed as it was only there to protect the other part that hooks into it since it's made out of plastic and the hook is metal.
Amazing video thanks!
Thanks kevin, really appreciate that. Glad you liked 🙂 all the best mate 🙏❤️👍
Man, some quality content here. Out of all e scooter videos i find yours most entertaining and useful. Cheers 🙏

Yeah i cant wait for this lockdown to be over. Ive been locked up all winter and now with covid i feel like ive been charged up and ready to go scooting for 6months patiently waiting lol
SlammDunk Productions Funny thing is most of us have had it already before this lockdown came into force which is why I think there does need to be a lift on it but social distancing and click and collect at shops only should be in place 👍
@@electricwheels411 for sure...i agree with that! :)

Is it alright to ride it in England
Not legally no. But I just stay off the main roads and havnt had any problems. ✌️
@@SlammDunkProductions I use mine in Scotland 😁. I use mine on the road and the pavement. My understanding is legally they are only illegal on the Rd In the city of London. NY. I've had mine now just over a year and have never been stopped by police. Offcoarse if using on the road be sure your highway code aware and have a good rd safety awareness.😉
There are some laws regarding power capacity and motor power rating. If scooter has lights and brakes and is under 500w motor. Doesn't exceed 25mph, they are to be classed as electric bycyles.
@@cosb9479 thats good info. I myself have ridden loads, the police drove past me many a time and never flinched. Ive always felt like if im not being an idiot on it then i will be fine. Its just everyone else telling me...'its illegal' and...'point on your driving license'...im like "ok maybe i will keave the scooter indoors"...its only because its winter im not missing it.
@@SlammDunkProductions lol yeah get that all the time. As u say if ur not speeding about being a radge with it. When the feds see a kid riding one doing what kids do. I'm sure they would stop them if on the Rd. If they see it's being rode safely they have no reason to stop us YET. Soon need insurance if the govs get there way. 😂
Seems really slow thoe i want some speed lol
32kph on a scooter not fast enough for you?... Perhaps it's a motorbike you looking for? 😅✌️

I've bought m365 pro coz of you. I was stuck between ninebot es4 and zoom stryder but watching your vid I've gone the m365 pro. One quick question as I live in manchester we have a lot of rain. Is this pro ok in the rain or is there anything I can buy or do to protect the rain. Great vids keep it up. P.s how long does it take to charge with the 300w generator.
Hey luke! I think you probably made the best choice, especially when you factor in the hack to unlock the speed, have you done that? *highly recommended! :) Yes here in Newcastle we get our fair share of rain also ;) and im being honest when i say, No ive had no issues with cleaning at all. I have found myself going round a corner and losing the front grip completely on some wet mud. i nearly came flyign off but managed to stay on my feet. my fault though for throttling full speed round a wet muddy corner. i doubt it will happen again ha! but yeah what i would say is, if you DO have issue with mud gathering underneath consider replacing the battery cover with something like: www.curiousjoe.se/product-page/battery-cover-m365pro but for me is not really neccesary as the wife does a good job of cleaning! As for the generator ie not really had to use it because ive not been far recently. i have tested it in the bedroom to make sure it works and i think its just the same as if pugged into the wall. it going to take about 3 and a half hours to charge to 50%. if you have any problem or questions in the future don't hesitate to holla and will do my best. Cheers Luke! ✌
3:20 i didn’t lose it. I have my xiaomi m365 for a year and a half and I didnt lose it

Hey, I just saw an ad on my Instagram for the phone holder that you use. They are using clips from your video. I don't know if you have any partnerships with any stores but I think it's most likely a scam. I have a video of you would like proof.

Been thinking of getting one. Thanks for that.
Ahh you should! :) Thanks for dropping a line Plot 37 i appreciate that. All the best mate 😊🙏
Really enjoyed the video, I picked up a couple of these items for my scooter. The dampeners and the hook are my favourites. I did find another accessory you might like to try and that's a support for the rear mudguard to stabilise it.
Thanks for the feeback Longs im glad you enjoyed the vid 😊 yes i have one of those rear mudguard thingys....they sometimes give them away free when you buy dampeners or something else. I understand its purpose but ive personally never felt the need for one. I might regret not putting mine on, but i got a white one which does not look good....maybe if i got the black one id hace pyuy it on by now....anyway, i appreciate the feedback mate 🙏 all the best ❤️
@@SlammDunkProductions I picked up a black one (although a red one might have looked better :D) it really firms up the mudguard. The only issue with fitting it I found is the wire for the rear light is bent into a tight "S" shape where the bracket mount attaches to the mudguard. Rather than unbend the wire and risk breaking or detaching it from the light I carefully popped out the light and rotated it180 degrees to reverse the way the wire was bent so it would fit under the bracket mount.
@@Longs81 ahh thats a good way to do it, its exactly what put me off fitting it. Which ibguess is just my way of saying im lazy....but no, my white one looked like it was 3D printed. So the white and cheap looking plastic i think would make mines look a bit tacky. If you have a legit one...or even just a black 3D printed one it will look A LOT better :)
Terrific reviews, just bought the M365 Pro based on your videos, plus they are fully legal in two places in Australia, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) (where I live). I keep it on my yacht, to get groceries, and travel to and from work and on weekends I charge it using my Hybrid Toyota Rav 4 when I go camping on the coast at Jervis Bay-which is an extension of the ACT and same laws apply. Keep up the good work.
Damn im jealous!...i wish we were allowed to have fun in UK. But we are all babies and cant be trusted to ride e scooters. We are supposed not care about environment and just keep using cars/buses even though many of us would love to scoot.....god i hate living here. .... And you have a yacht?...oh look just go away! 😆😆😆 😁✌️❤️

I am really surprised how well it handles even steep streets here where i life :). A great product for that price range! In the future i plan to ad another battery but for now it has enough range anyhow, hehe.
Here is Switzerland things are calm and people have accepted the new situation. I life in a town with 5000 People with lots of forests, green meadows and Hills nearby.
It is very beautifully here and people including myself do Mountain biking, Jogging, or just walking the dogs, fly some drones. between the next towns there is always 7-10 km road travel.
to be honest, if you are outside you sometimes forget about the virus since there is just so much space and the spring is beautiful here :)
Cheers

Do you know of any other web sites uk
Where selling some
Merry Christmas to you too sorry
@@johnnorris1236 nah mate im really sorry i cant really speak for the scooter in question. I did have a little look on google and seem its on Ali Express for £522 a.aliexpress.com/cN77ErZaj which im not sure is even legit but if it is then maybe thats best deal tax is included in the price. Like i say i dont know much about them to be honest, but if you get one id love to know how you get on and what you think of it. Keep in touch 🙂
Nice. I want to buy 5/10 things from this video cause I have m365 :D
Glad you found the video useful buddy....All the best for 2020 🙏❤
Hi there! I'm planning to buy the Xiaomi M365 too, and I'm searching for interchangable parts. Do you maybe know where I can get a new battery and what its price will be once the first one is dead? Thanks.
Dude I don't know but you don't need battery it's really good....
@@unknownsamn7114 Thanks for replying, but what I meant is where and how much it would cost to buy a new battery once the first one is broken.
Thats very helpful
Happy to help :) Thanks!
I know this is late to the party but I love your videos and I'd like to ask where you're riding. I love those bridges!
Hey Michael! Yeah sure...This was all shot in 'Newcastle-Upon-Tyne' and some other parts of the north-east, the Quayside and bridges is a very nice spot in the summer. Unfortunately I don't live there anymore I'm back in Scotland but there are some spectacular views/bridges here also so it's all good for me😊
Thank you from over here.
No problem Stig, Thanks mate! ✌
Hi just bought a 1s and already had the back bracket attached so just want to get the rubber bits, would it be advisable to fit them as soon as possible or wait till it gets loose?, also great videos 😎
You talking about the inserts? The rubber dampener? I'd don't worry about it if there's no irritating noise. I'm not sure about the folding mechanism on the 1s, you might never need them but if you do Amazon deliver pretty quick. Up to you I guess if you want them for peace of mind as they less than 10 quid. 🙂
Beautiful guide...!! :-) I just need to be able to do the hack on an iPhone lol..! :-(
Someone told me here that the DownG app is now out for iPhone but i have not been able to check it out, Maybe worth a look? otherwise just hassle a mate to borrow his android for a couple mins! :) Cheers Peter, All the best ✌
Could someone please give me a link to the gearbest tires and inner tube . I couldn’t find the same listing in the video☹️
Great video
thanks
Really helpful video, thanks. Going to buy the phone holder for my M365 pro now! Would be great if you could review scooter indicator lights?
well i am just waiting for spring/summer to kick back in and i will indeed be making an updated video. I am actually just about to buy a few new things and will most deffo look into the lights. Cheers for the suggestion Loren. respect 🙂✌❤
Your video is absolutely unbelievable awesome 👍🏽 I the Hiboy s2 the suspension package would it work for the Highboy?
Not sure mate, but if you find the website and email them I'm sure they will help you out 🤞🤞🤞
Love the view.
Aye it's not bad! 🙂👍❤️
so the portable power bank thing, can you use it while the scooter is in use ? or just stopped ?? if that's the case you need to wait a few hours to get you some juice, plus carrying that thing around will cost you range while on the scooter.
I can't confirm either way unfortunately, I haven't even taken the thing out the box since I bought it as I've just not had any use for it yet (winter time) probably spring summer I will find out for myself. I'm on long vacation at the moment.... I'm guessing though that it has to be at a standstill and not in use. ✌️
Cool Video! Never had a Xiaomi unfortunately, but they are looking basically the same; I'm always on my Segway NINEBOT! :)
yeah the segways are pretty much the same...Great Value scooters also 👍 cheers ❤
I'm riding an electric scooter in Japan. The law is strict in Japan, so it's hard to play! The video was very interesting :) I'll come back again! With love from Japan :)
here was me thinking that the UK was too strict. I thought most other countries in the world had accepted e-scooters and were allowed. well hopefully things change soon and we no longer treated like children! we can hope :) 🙏 Thanks for dropping a line SLC all the best to you ❤
@@SlammDunkProductions UK is also tough! The same is true for Japan. However, the electric scooter is so much fun that I would like to continue riding it. I will come to play again! I subscribed to the channel. Please come visit me on my channel :)
Never would have thought about those huge portable power banks. Would be pretty useful for someone who wants to do long distances
I like it just because it does a bit of everything...Although i have to admit i never use it now for charging the scooter (i just never go far enough) I do use it camping all the time for powering/charging stuff....i guess if it wasnt for Covid id get much more use out of it....Got a uch better (updates) part 2 to this vid coming soon. If this stuff interest you then you should check it out, some really cool stuff. Anyway i appreciate you dropping a line GMR. All the best 👍❤

Thanks Letitien, bit of an old video now (there is also part 2) but most of the products are still pretty useful 👍 this video what shot in 'Newcastle England' unfortunately I don't live there anymore. It was a great city to explore and have fun 😊 thanks for watching. All th best to you ✌️♥️
great video. Just got my 365 pro the other day and these tips and tricks will surely come in handy!
Thats awesome! great little machine isnt it? a year later and i have no complaints! 👍 Have you seen My Suspension video for the M365 pro? @@SlammDunkProductions I haven't seen that one yet, I stumbled over your channel today. As of now I haven't been able to connect to the vanilla software for some reason, so I've been trying out m365 dashboard which seems okay, what do you think? I haven't updated any firmwire yet at all and I don't know which version I am on, lol. I have heard about removing the speed limiter, doesn't that make the battery overheat? Thanks
@@arsletirott no no no...If i were you i wouldnt use anything other than the official app...'Xiaomi Home app' its still a bit fidgity last time i used it (i dont use anything now to be honest i just ride the scooter until the battery indicator is at 2 then i head home 😂) I just dont trust 3rd party apps on my phone these days, you never know what they are doig in background (parranoid maybe).... Anyways here is the video on how to hack.add custom firmware which will remove the built in speed limiter (100% safe!) ua-cam.com/video/AgXrjUJ8hEg/v-deo.html just skip to 4mins 30 get past the shite at the start. Dont update any firmware....Its normally done via Xiaomi home app. ignore the firmware updates so later you can hack it easier....the higher the firmware the harder is is to do.....You can use the Xiaomi Home app as normal after hacking. the Xiaomi home app is best for controlling all your scooter settings, like crusie control, password lock, alarm etc. also you might be interested to see the one year later review? some good tips in there! :) ua-cam.com/video/Eks04G9NmXA/v-deo.html All the best pal...thanks again! :)
@@SlammDunkProductions alright mate I hear ya, lol. I got the official app to work finally, and it seems the scooter came with the latest firmwire anyways so.. But Idk, 25km/h is pretty okay imo, I'll see what to do later :) Yeah I watched the 1 year review, really helpful stuff mate. Proper content
@@arsletirott yeah yeah 25kph is still not bad at all. if you happy with that just stick with it...saves you going through the downgrade process just to get an extra 6kph ✌
Very good video. Forget the Bell. Instead, get the @loudbicycle #loudbicycle horn. I've always had one on my scooters. It's the best way to get people's attention, especially groups of walkers taking up an entire bike path width, bad drivers, and all other Road Hogs in general.
haha...sorry for the delay in reply...only just seen this comment now :/ ... Maybe go all the way with a fog horn no? I like your style 😅

This scooter and its accessories will be great for when I go to college and the railway academy at Felling, a quick link from the Railway academy to the main campus saving the need for the train or metro! It'll also help when I film trains if I need to say, travel from Central Station to Manors or even Chester-le-steet for a different shot!
Thanks for sharing!
yeah thats sounds like a perfect plan to me! 👍 any idea what scooter you going to get?
@@SlammDunkProductions not too sure, but I'm going to pick it up in a few hours from writing this comment.
It has the same "dashboard" as your scooter but has rear rail lights as well.
When I pick it up, I'll be sure to let you know!👍
I don't know why but when i inset the (RUBBER VIBRATION DAMPER) forward i can't close the rudder so and i put it a little bit back....... Am i doing it right ???
you might have to unscrew the forward facing bolt just above the latch for it to lock again. Make sure you use the thinnest possible damper 0.4 or 0.6 should be as much as you need. much more than that and will be more difficult to close ✌
Nice video. The m365 is great. But changing tyres on your own. Trust me - now I had extra inner tubes at home.
But what is needed when changing the next round is - is to change to puncture free solid tyres, because this is no fun.
I will no doubt feel the same way when i get my first puncture! :)
Very nice video bro thanks so much, brother I need ask you one question I have Bluetooth problem, I do update and after update I can’t connect with my phone so do you have any idea about this point ? Thanks
I got the very first version on the Pro when it came out, it was running 1.5 firmware out the box and i can tell you that for me...connecting to Blutooth has and always is a problem for me. doesnt matter wether i use stock firmware or the Custom firmware its always a bit tricky and takes multiple attempts. I always pressumed they would have fixed this with firmware updates? (i believe it goes all way up to 1.7.1 or above now) but i prefer to hack my scoot to remove the speed limiter. So i need to be on 1.5 firmware to do that hack. ive NEVER used an official update. i just use the GONKA custom firmware. All i can say is. make sure its the official Xiaomi home app you are using and connect to first with blutooth, then connecting 3rd party apps should be easier. What firmware are you on now? ✌
Hey you had any problems in toon on your scooter wanting to pull the trigger on a pro to go from wallsend to toon but worried about punctures and the like. Just found your vids and great seeing it used in toon.
Oh 100% no need to worry about punctures I promise... At least. Ot unless you choose to drive over piles off glass 😅 honest I Almost abuse mine at times the way I treat it, always going over rough terrain to test it out and in adventures, these things are surprising solid given the fact they made in China and so cheap Compared to American e-scooters at 3 or 3 times the price... Best decision I could have made was to go with Xiaomi 365 Pro especially with the hack to unlock the speed limiter! (see my other video if interested in unlocking speed)... The tyres have a PSI pressure of 55!...absolutely solid like car tyres which I remember was a surprise to me. Hard to believe there are inner tubes inside. After 5 months of solid use never even had to pump them up, I also have a review video riding from quayside to tynemouth and back... Handled all terrain like a boss, no need for suspension or anything like that in my opinion, but ofcourse will rattle your bones if you go over Cobblestones n such.... Honestly for the price these are going at now, pull that trigger you won't regret it. Just don't go flying along main roads being dangerous cos the police won't like it, I've had no problems with police and I've been seen lots of times (but. That's maybe cos when I see them I just start swinging a leg to pretend I'm using a normal scooter 😅)... Appreciate the feedback Mark and if you have any other questions just holla OK?.. Always happy to help! All the best 🙏❤️
And don't be scared to order from Gearbest, they very reputable like Chinese Amazon. You might have to wait a few weeks on delivery, but it's where the scoots are made and you will save yourself at least 100 quid. Only fake xiaomi'sive ive seen were actually on Amazon! So be careful if you order from them ok✌️
You wouldn't need the vibration damper if you regularly greased the folding surface, (bearing grease stops wear in the folding mechanism (600km and still no rattle in the stem and still stiff and tight as new, back led failed due to rain, advice is to coat the led chip on pcb in superglue to waterproof it from inside before it fails) avoid glass like the plague otherwise you will have a puncture as the glass will get absorbed in the tread and make its way to the tube eventually. keep pressure at +50psi and tyres should be good. surprisingly eats the hills - enjoy the funny looks you get when you overtake cyclists uphill. biggest hurdle is having to spot broken glass at a distance at 20mph.
@@picapica8806 Good shout thank you Pica :)

Hey Andrew, Just catching up with comments. Wanted to say Hi...and thanks! yeah every little helps for sure i super appreciate the support. Hope you having a great Christmas Andrew all the best for next year 🙏
How about the non pneumatic tires, which can t deflate? 23$ and you should be set. Any advice / experience on that?
Just person preference I think...do you want the peace of mind but a less smooth ride and slower? or would you rather have the comfort of original tyres and better speed but the risk of puncture?....for me it's just a hassle changing the tyres. On my Xiaomi I have been lucky to never have a puncture, but on my Hiboy S2 pro it comes with airless tyres and they are also really good. 👍👍
