Predator no doubt in long run with adv of DDR5 and Gen 4 SSD, also its cheaper (try surveying video of actual in hand compariosn of both the laptops)

i7-13700HX is 16 cores vs Ryzen 9 7940HS being 8 cores.
13700HX is 20% faster in multicore but uses 100% more power.
7940HS is easily the technically better product.

I've already ordered customised Legion Pro 5 with Ryzen 7 7745HX/rtx4060 @1.39L from the Lenovo website with all the discounts and 5years warranty + ADP (3 years default + 2 year extended warranty).
It also offers 5200MHz DDR5 16GB RAMs, Intel WiFi 6e cards, 1 TB Gen5 SSD, etc.
Reasons for going with LP5 Gen 8:
-LPro 5i i7-13700HX/rtx4060 Gen 8 was costing me 14K INR more
-7745HX benchmarks lie somewhere between 12th and 13th gen i7 which is decently good enough for all my requirements.
i.e. Coding, Gaming with rtx4060
- AMD offers 5Nm with 30MB L3 cache
-Intel WiFi 6e cards and 1080p (FHD) webcam
-Intel processors are getting more powerful and heat producing for current Laptop designs to maintain thermals
-AMD** variants provide slightly better thermals and battery life (vital for a laptop)
**this is going to be my first AMD cpu
Reasons for choosing Lenovo-
-Predator, with new blade design, may offer slightly better thermals but the WiFi card being used is mediocre
-Predator is still far better package than Asus as it provides better components such as screen, DDR5 RAMs, Gen4 SSD, better thermals
-Also, I don't have a good personal experience with Acer as a brand since my college days and I still can't find Predator in any decent spot at JarrodTech's list
-I was looking for a subtle looking laptop for a cleaner setup

Check if your Nvidia GPU is active. Enable and See Nvidia activity monitor.
Or your HP Battery optimiser has capped the battery max charge to a low level for protection, can check that.
Disabling HP Battery optimiser can also give you back the entire charge capacity.

bro u didnt mention temperatures, preadator's temps are way better f15 and that ddr5 ram does makes alot of difference in triple a titles.
We have Predator and TUF F15 users in our Telegram group. And there is no difference when you keep the Predator and TUF at the same power levels and fan speed. Otherwise comparison is not valid.
And NO DDR5 doesn't help with 4060 config.
Both TUF F15 and Predator 4060 are getting identical FPS in GPU bound games. For actual benefit, atleast you need DDR5 5600 with RTX 4080. Do you have any proof? Because I have proof. Take a look at Hardware Unboxed's DDR5 vs DDR4 comparison to improve your general computing knowledge.

I have the tuf 4060 and the cpu temps get really high( some cores touch 100c) is this normal or should i undervolt the cpu.
It's normal.. you can undervolt using Throttlestop or go to armory crate and use manual mode and set CPU TDP values to a lower value like 35W or 40W.
Same applies to Helios Neo 16.. we have screenshots in our group on CPU benchmark thermals.
Actually at stock it's to be expected because Intel really pulls power.. it'll be the same in terms of temperatures even if you go for super high end gaming laptops.

No. DDR4 and DDR5 is not compatible with each other. A DDR4 motherboard will always accept DDR4 ram and the same goes for DDR5.

God knows. UK and India share the same price. But unfortunately Asus didn't launch the variant that I was waiting for..
I wanted the 1080p+512GB SSD+4060+7940HS variant for 1.3 lakhs but instead Asus launched the laptop with QHD+1TB SSD and charged 1.5 lakhs for it.
Same for the 4070, the UK model is cheap because of FHD display, but God knows if it'll come to India or not.

Acer predator has much better cooling than TUF!
Both are similar as per our tests in our telegram group. Both reach 100C in Cinebench R23 Multicore in their maximum performance modes. These temps are expected because Intel is too damn power hungry.

Bro I think display definitely make difference , your 4060 laptop is capable of doing 2k resolution gaming, which definitely look impressive, I would recommend every one to experience 2k display specially in gaming.
I went for preditor mainly because of better processor for 3d modeling and better build quality and I have owned a tuf lapt6before , and it had a crappie build.
4060 is 15% better than 3060 at 1080p but only 12% better at 1440p which shows 4060 isn't as good at 1440p

One more this is to consider is 40 series cards don't consume much power so thermals are just amazing, good for longevity.

The build quality is very bad in tuf, the screen wobbles and there is keyboard flex. Cooling is better in predator and it has a 16 inch display. I think predator wins. If your budget is very tight then tuf is a good option.

Both reach 100°C in Cinebench R23 like any other Intel gaming laptop. Helios Neo 16 almost all cores are above 95C and mostly 99C to 100C because the CPU can pull upto 157W.
