I recently purchased a Legion 5ipro with an i9 13000hx paired with an Rtx4060. It is seriously as powerful as a desktop. I got 2768 single and 16533 multi scores in Greek Bench; I also got 2052pts single and 29200pts multi points in Cinebench R23. In terms of CPU performance, it performed nearly better than my previous i9 12900k desktop processor would🤧.. Also, I found that the laptop 4060 performs smililar to the 4060 you get on a desktop. This advanced level of performance on these portable devices is very surprising to me. And I forgot to mention that the thermal is very gooddddd💕

A little tip for you Venom Bhaiya, when you review Acer Laptops and are testing the speakers, kindly go to DTS:X Ultra and turn on custom audio and then click on its settings icon (of custom audio) and turn on all the options. Since i use Acer Predator Helios Neo 16, I have noticed it really boosts the sound by alot(actual practical difference) so i guess it would work on other models too. Loved the review btw! ❤
I have Helios Neo 16 I would say fan noise is quite louder than other laptops. But if you will play games for 1-2 days you won't be bothered by it. Also temps are just awsome in helios neo 16. Prefer buying laptops from Acer Mall/Other shops instead of online you might get additional goodies and service options at free of cost.
Do you play on your speakers that you say the fan sound is high and disturbs you? If yes then I'll reccomend you to go into your DTS:X Ultra software. Click the custom option and then the settings option of custom (on its top right) and turn on the 4 enhancements that are available. They will boost your sound quite alot
There is no way you can use mux without the restart. Nvidia control panel just switches the display route but the GPU gets optimised only when it’s done through BIOS
I try to avoid Acer laptops. Previously I owned two Acer laptops (one with a Linpus linux, and another Windows based). Both died ... mostly due to display issues and the parts could not be found. That was several years ago. But it left a pretty bad impression about Acer.
You should make a new video about the 3070ti nitro 5 after upgrading it to dual channel ram. At resolutions above 1080p, 3070ti > 4060 due to higher memory bus etc. So that nitro will outperform almost all of the 4060 laptops bc those are usually running 1080p+ screens, especially with dual channel ram. Also some guy did some screen testing and apparently the nitro 5 w 3070ti and 1440p screen has 98.5% of srgb and 95% of dcip-3. It can be had for under 1 lakh so with just one extra ram kit, you can have a 32gb beast that will outperform all of these laptops. Worth considering. I took a look at Jarrod Tech's videos, he does super detailed testing etc so from there I learned about the 3070ti's performance versus 4060. Idk if it is worth it for you but the upgraded nitro 5 will likely be good value for a lot of the viewers here.

Hey dude yes the loq is a good option. The reason I am not mentioning the loq here is because at 1440p the 3070ti is far better than the 4060. The reason why this is important to me is because the 1080p screen on the loq does not have good colour accuracy (correct me about this if I am wrong). Though due to the intel chip the loq will also have similar battery life to the nitro 5. If you want good battery life on the loq, go for the 7840hs option. I bought the helios 16 i9 rtx 4070 with 16gb ram @199990. The gaming is next level... No lag or sudden fps drop. Display is good and the sound quality is also good. It is not dolby atmos certified but if you want that experience better go for tv.dtsx sound is more than enough. But I can't find any appropriate ram upgradation for it and the acer services are really bad. Asus services are relatively better
Bro on your dts:x ultra go click custom option and click the settings icon present on the "custom" option on its top right and turn on the 4 enhancement options available. They will actually boost your sound very much

I have this laptop i play at 32°C room and still it gives less than 92°c great thermals amazing performance yeah it does sound very loud. It doesnt have gaming hdr but it does have movie and video hdr. Great colours. Legion and predator this time are literally same laptop. No changes in fan placement except vantage software in legion. If u have predator dont regret not buying legion coz they are literally the same laptop.

@@swapnilprj its working really well. If im being honest yes the temps go to 90s and with rtx on it goes higher but the temps go down way faster too. I played witcher 3 with rtx got around 93 and it went down to 45 within 4 to 5 mins. Apart from that i play a lot of valorant regularly the temps are managable like 87 or 88. Finally i played last of us with and without rtx its had similar results. Intel in general runs hot so dont worry as long as you keep your laptop elevated or ventilated or dont block the fans, the laptop will work beautiful without any issues. Replying to the throttling thing, no it doesnt whatsoever. Undervolting wouldnt be needed i guess, the fans are great honestly they work really well for reducing temps

Honestly this is a pretty good laptop Like the RTX 4060 mobile is equal to the RX 6650 XT and the 13700HX is equal to the Ryzen 5 7600 and then 16gb ddr5 ram So if you built a pc with these specs then it will cost about 1.45 lakhs including monitor, remember a good 1440p 240hz 100% dci-p3 monitor easily costs around 38000-45000 maybe even more So 20000 price premium for portability is not that bad, laptops are now actually worth it
Bought this laptop, yes it's a beast. Here's my review on this PROS The CPU actually can be on 150w continuously. I've tested Valorant on max settings and got average of 1100 fps (950-1400) in shooting range and around 800 in matches. Venom bhai seems to be testing all games on normal mode, in turbo mode the gpu overclocks +200mhz and on Hogwarts Legacy power was around 110w - 130w, with peaks of 155w. 🤷♂️ Fan actually doesn't make lot of noise until it's on 5000-6000 rpm Whatever you do you can't push gpu temp above 80°C Even after being one of the heaviest it doesn't feels like one cause of steady and is a bit thinner. The touchpad is glass If you set custom boot logo it would replace the predator logo CONS I was not able to charge this laptop with QC2, QC3, VOOC & SuperVOOC chargers. Currently I don't have QC4 charger to test. Even if the option of disabling efficiency cores are there in the bios, it only works for one time and resets back to default after the next 3 failed attempts to boot up. Neutrals: Idk if there's a bug with HWMonitor, sometimes it show 560w peak for the gpu. 32gb of ram max limit might be an issue in some software, as I'm using a software which has 16gb as minimum and 32gb recommended. And yes Hogwarts Legacy needed more than 16gb ram. Because of unavailability I've got 512gb of storage. So temporary using a TF card which is plugged in all the time and doesn't stick out of the memory card slot.
Dude, my legion 5i pro can pull max 190 watts of power, and we can set the constant long power limit up to 135 watts (i9 13000 hx). And I heard that the majority of laptops where the company claims to have 32 GB of RAM as the maximum limit can be upgraded to 64 GB of RAM. about the GPU I had seen many Helio 16 and ASUS users, and I don't know why the GPUs don't draw enough power to get hot above 80 c. but my legion draws up to the 122W when I do run the bench mark.
@@sassprotonI would say cpu is way too powerful to be paired with 4060, but since DLSS3 is there i can balance the workload by lowering render resolution while keeping other settings to ultra. So most probably i would get noticeable higher fps than compared to 13650hx

I bought this laptop the issue I have with it is mostly Wi-Fi which is very weak in comparison to something like MacBooks but it can be improved with something like Wi-Fi extender but it will have some latency if you are gaming and might ruin your gaming experience . Another thing is sometimes the laptop lags a bit but I guess that’s windows 11. other than that the only worst part of this laptop is the speaker. Don’t get me wrong it’s loud but if you are accustomed to listening good sounding speakers then this is the worst and it’s nowhere near good. It’s so bad I don’t want to watch any entertainment videos on it. other than that I don’t have any problems with it and would be my recommendation for anyone

bro for the game tests it really should be in the same area. maybe you can create a save point, then idle the game there for some time until temps stop rising, and go a short path ahead through the area. main point is to be able to recreate the fps as similarly as possible. apart from that, everything looked great. really liked that everything on the OSD was important and needed, and that u mentioned about the 8GB vram "issue". these cards wont last even 2 years for AAA games. Also, big scam by nvidia by claiming these cards to be 140W when they rarely cross 100W. max in this video I saw it touch 110 W ? afaik, only 4070 and above can hit higher wattage.

Having a same variant since 6 months all is good. but If I use turbo mode for gaming, my laptop temperature will reach to 100 C constant. If I use performance mode then I am getting 80-90 temperature, Laptop is good, but few things are missing. Having per key rgb keyboard is too good but with limiting the effects in predator sense. there are some dead pixels i have found in my screen and may be I can't get rid of them permenently. and also one thing, may it is my laptop's problem, my wifi card is not working well, like sometime it appears, sometimes it goes out, also drivers cant be found, Finally replacing it after I have done three times call logs.
In my area don't have acer good service review, and Lenovo legion have really good on service & review. I am actually buying "Acer predator Helios 16(1,65,000), But lucky i gote and legion option in (1,51,000_ After GTS clim it go to 1,31,000).

great laptop💓💓💓💓,in general, usually in many laptops i guess plastic body is weak but metalic body is strong but gives electric shocks. earthing due to earthing problems which is common in many house in India. they should really choose a material which is stronger as metal but don't give electric shocks all the time. btw my laptop which is acer predator helios 300 PH315-52 (2019 model) do gives a lot of shocks. i always make sure that i am on some rubber or insulator like surface to avoid shocks. nice video btw.😀😁
I have 2018 model and it gives electric current sensation sometimes. The most thing I don't like about 2018 or previous models are both fans placement is on same side which gives so much less exhaust vent area. Mine on heavy gaming, cpu runs on 99 C but still don't trottle so much. In AC room it runs cooler. After 4.5 years its one side speaker got malfunctioned (its membrane teared away after aging) and I now new one must cost higher than expected. But I like its speakers it is loud. Now days mostly gaming laptop speakers are just trash.
@@abhitsinha8813 yes fans on same side wasn't good design. and even my laptop speaker stopped working after 3.2 years... good thing i usually use earphone to avoid fan noise while gaming. also i think one laptop should be used for at least 4 to 5 years. i will probably wait for next predator its going to be cheaper since next nvidia cards will use ai for processing which reduces cost and increases performance by 20 times.

I had same model 2020 version i7 10th gen RTX 2060 6gb card 16gb ram, but some months ago it suddenly stopped. Service centre guy told me it's motherboard suffered a short circuit so it's done for good. Is there any other way I can fix it?
@@oliveparker847 never give your laptop to some random guy for repair. always give it to authorised service center even if it is expensive. in time it actually saves money. call service center and check if they have its motherboard. usually even if motherboard short circuit if it shortciruited at some resistor or other minor component then you don't even need new motherboard. just change short-circuited component will fix it. . check warranty its usually 3 years warranty. if not then call some laptop repair service online to check. these PC guys are usually trustworthy since they want your rating to boost their company name. finally remember even if motherboard is not working for now does not mean all is lost because laptop has several expensive components. then finally if nothing works take help from us tech UA-camrs they will help fix your problem. and please ask me or community if you have any question. don't worry all tech devices can be fixed.
Hello, So I'm new to the gaming tech side of things and i need help deciding on whether i should choose the Acer predator Neo with ( Intel core i9 RTX 4060 ) or Acer Predator Helios with ( Intel core i7 RTX 4060 ) Should i go with the Acer predator neo as it has the intel i9 or should i go for the Acer predator Helios which has a better refresh rate of 240 hz but has the intel i7 ? At first i was looking to buy the Acer predator Helios with ( Intel core i9 RTX 4070 ) but that variant is now out of stock on the Acer online store as well as in the offline Acer dealership ( i am not comfortable buying digital devices and products from third party web stores like Amazon due to terrible past experiences. ) I have found that these are the only 2 best options available after researching by myself and the offline acer store manager also said the same. ( The 4080 variant is totally out of my budget ) The main tasks that I'm gonna perform on the laptop are Photo editing on Adobe Photoshop , video editing on Davinci or Adobe premiere pro ( including rendering videos in 4k ) , Graphic Designing on Adobe illustrator , Music production on FL Studio 21 and maybe even 3d modelling occassionally. I'm having this laptop with a 1tb version but not satisfied with its speaker. At least it should have Dolby support instead of dtx 😤. Also its mode shifting key is too slow. It doesn't have per key customisation in dynamic mode 🥲 and its rgb bar at back is not synced with dynamic per key presets 😭. Due to these small things I feel cheated. By the way I got it for 161K

You don't need to go to BIOS for changing the iGPU to dGPU (or vice versa), you can do this via nvidia control panel (no restart needed).

Hey dude yes the loq is a good option. The reason I am not mentioning the loq here is because at 1440p the 3070ti is far better than the 4060. The reason why this is important to me is because the 1080p screen on the loq does not have good colour accuracy (correct me about this if I am wrong). Though due to the intel chip the loq will also have similar battery life to the nitro 5. If you want good battery life on the loq, go for the 7840hs option. I bought the helios 16 i9 rtx 4070 with 16gb ram @199990. The gaming is next level... No lag or sudden fps drop. Display is good and the sound quality is also good. It is not dolby atmos certified but if you want that experience better go for tv.dtsx sound is more than enough. But I can't find any appropriate ram upgradation for it and the acer services are really bad. Asus services are relatively better

I have this laptop i play at 32°C room and still it gives less than 92°c great thermals amazing performance yeah it does sound very loud. It doesnt have gaming hdr but it does have movie and video hdr. Great colours. Legion and predator this time are literally same laptop. No changes in fan placement except vantage software in legion. If u have predator dont regret not buying legion coz they are literally the same laptop.

How is it working now? I read that this laptop suffers from high temp and throttling resulting in stuttering. Also we cannot undervolt it.
@@swapnilprj its working really well. If im being honest yes the temps go to 90s and with rtx on it goes higher but the temps go down way faster too. I played witcher 3 with rtx got around 93 and it went down to 45 within 4 to 5 mins. Apart from that i play a lot of valorant regularly the temps are managable like 87 or 88. Finally i played last of us with and without rtx its had similar results. Intel in general runs hot so dont worry as long as you keep your laptop elevated or ventilated or dont block the fans, the laptop will work beautiful without any issues. Replying to the throttling thing, no it doesnt whatsoever. Undervolting wouldnt be needed i guess, the fans are great honestly they work really well for reducing temps

Here's my review on this
PROS
The CPU actually can be on 150w continuously. I've tested Valorant on max settings and got average of 1100 fps (950-1400) in shooting range and around 800 in matches.
Venom bhai seems to be testing all games on normal mode, in turbo mode the gpu overclocks +200mhz and on Hogwarts Legacy power was around 110w - 130w, with peaks of 155w. 🤷♂️
Fan actually doesn't make lot of noise until it's on 5000-6000 rpm
Whatever you do you can't push gpu temp above 80°C
Even after being one of the heaviest it doesn't feels like one cause of steady and is a bit thinner.
The touchpad is glass
If you set custom boot logo it would replace the predator logo
CONS
I was not able to charge this laptop with QC2, QC3, VOOC & SuperVOOC chargers. Currently I don't have QC4 charger to test.
Even if the option of disabling efficiency cores are there in the bios, it only works for one time and resets back to default after the next 3 failed attempts to boot up.

Idk if there's a bug with HWMonitor, sometimes it show 560w peak for the gpu.
32gb of ram max limit might be an issue in some software, as I'm using a software which has 16gb as minimum and 32gb recommended.
And yes Hogwarts Legacy needed more than 16gb ram.
Because of unavailability I've got 512gb of storage. So temporary using a TF card which is plugged in all the time and doesn't stick out of the memory card slot.

about the GPU I had seen many Helio 16 and ASUS users, and I don't know why the GPUs don't draw enough power to get hot above 80 c.
but my legion draws up to the 122W when I do run the bench mark.

I bought this laptop the issue I have with it is mostly Wi-Fi which is very weak in comparison to something like MacBooks but it can be improved with something like Wi-Fi extender but it will have some latency if you are gaming and might ruin your gaming experience . Another thing is sometimes the laptop lags a bit but I guess that’s windows 11. other than that the only worst part of this laptop is the speaker. Don’t get me wrong it’s loud but if you are accustomed to listening good sounding speakers then this is the worst and it’s nowhere near good. It’s so bad I don’t want to watch any entertainment videos on it.
other than that I don’t have any problems with it and would be my recommendation for anyone

bro for the game tests it really should be in the same area. maybe you can create a save point, then idle the game there for some time until temps stop rising, and go a short path ahead through the area. main point is to be able to recreate the fps as similarly as possible. apart from that, everything looked great. really liked that everything on the OSD was important and needed, and that u mentioned about the 8GB vram "issue". these cards wont last even 2 years for AAA games.

Laptop is good, but few things are missing.
Having per key rgb keyboard is too good but with limiting the effects in predator sense.
there are some dead pixels i have found in my screen and may be I can't get rid of them permenently.
and also one thing, may it is my laptop's problem, my wifi card is not working well, like sometime it appears, sometimes it goes out, also drivers cant be found,

great laptop💓💓💓💓,in general, usually in many laptops i guess plastic body is weak but metalic body is strong but gives electric shocks. earthing due to earthing problems which is common in many house in India. they should really choose a material which is stronger as metal but don't give electric shocks all the time. btw my laptop which is acer predator helios 300 PH315-52 (2019 model) do gives a lot of shocks. i always make sure that i am on some rubber or insulator like surface to avoid shocks. nice video btw.😀😁
I have 2018 model and it gives electric current sensation sometimes. The most thing I don't like about 2018 or previous models are both fans placement is on same side which gives so much less exhaust vent area. Mine on heavy gaming, cpu runs on 99 C
but still don't trottle so much. In AC room it runs cooler. After 4.5 years its one side speaker got malfunctioned (its membrane teared away after aging) and I now new one must cost higher than expected. But I like its speakers it is loud. Now days mostly gaming laptop speakers are just trash.
@@abhitsinha8813 yes fans on same side wasn't good design. and even my laptop speaker stopped working after 3.2 years... good thing i usually use earphone to avoid fan noise while gaming. also i think one laptop should be used for at least 4 to 5 years. i will probably wait for next predator its going to be cheaper since next nvidia cards will use ai for processing which reduces cost and increases performance by 20 times.
@@uncutvideos-l4l7 Yes, even this model next year will be way cheaper. Mine in Feb 2024 will complete 5 years, after doing my master I will definitely sell this and the next model... hope after 2025🫠. I don't want to invest any more money in this old one for parts.
I had same model 2020 version i7 10th gen RTX 2060 6gb card 16gb ram, but some months ago it suddenly stopped. Service centre guy told me it's motherboard suffered a short circuit so it's done for good. Is there any other way I can fix it?
@@oliveparker847 never give your laptop to some random guy for repair. always give it to authorised service center even if it is expensive. in time it actually saves money. call service center and check if they have its motherboard. usually even if motherboard short circuit if it shortciruited at some resistor or other minor component then you don't even need new motherboard. just change short-circuited component will fix it. . check warranty its usually 3 years warranty. if not then call some laptop repair service online to check. these PC guys are usually trustworthy since they want your rating to boost their company name. finally remember even if motherboard is not working for now does not mean all is lost because laptop has several expensive components. then finally if nothing works take help from us tech UA-camrs they will help fix your problem. and please ask me or community if you have any question. don't worry all tech devices can be fixed.

Hello, So I'm new to the gaming tech side of things and i need help deciding on whether i should choose the Acer predator Neo with ( Intel core i9 RTX 4060 ) or Acer Predator Helios with ( Intel core i7 RTX 4060 )
Should i go with the Acer predator neo as it has the intel i9 or should i go for the Acer predator Helios which has a better refresh rate of 240 hz but has the intel i7 ?
At first i was looking to buy the Acer predator Helios with ( Intel core i9 RTX 4070 ) but that variant is now out of stock on the Acer online store as well as in the offline Acer dealership ( i am not comfortable buying digital devices and products from third party web stores like Amazon due to terrible past experiences. ) I have found that these are the only 2 best options available after researching by myself and the offline acer store manager also said the same. ( The 4080 variant is totally out of my budget )
The main tasks that I'm gonna perform on the laptop are Photo editing on Adobe Photoshop , video editing on Davinci or Adobe premiere pro ( including rendering videos in 4k ) , Graphic Designing on Adobe illustrator , Music production on FL Studio 21 and maybe even 3d modelling occassionally.
So which variant of the Acer Predator series should i go with ? Waiting for advise and suggestions from all of you reading this , Thanks in advance. 🙂🙏🏻

I'm having this laptop with a 1tb version but not satisfied with its speaker. At least it should have Dolby support instead of dtx 😤. Also its mode shifting key is too slow. It doesn't have per key customisation in dynamic mode 🥲 and its rgb bar at back is not synced with dynamic per key presets 😭. Due to these small things I feel cheated.
By the way I got it for 161K
