- This is my review of this incredible Sna Martin GMT SN015-G-GMT. Is this - like the SN019-G Water Ghost is for the Rolex Submariner - the best homage of the Rolex GMT-Master II?

I wear my homage watches when I'm working or playing in a manner that would risk damage to my OE swiss versions of the same watch. They have a legitimate place in the market and serve a very important function for me. I'm glad to own this one. It's awesome. From my experience the jubilee bracelet is much more comfortable than the oyster. I've also used these homage watches to decide if I want to buy the original version before spending $10k-$30k on something I can't return.
I don't have a problem with Homage watches. Everyone has the choice to buy whatever they want. I am not a fan of counterfeiting a watch because you are presenting a lie at that point. With a homage the buyer makes a choice to purchase something that looks like something else in its design but not in its branding. The San Martin GMT SN015 is a beautiful watch. I have Parnis's take on Rolex's GMT and I love it. Its a great looking watch and a great price and that works for me.

What if you have an authentic but also purchased a fake for traveling to seedy parts of the world or rough environments and reserve the authentic for nicer special occasions?

One note, the GMT hands on these movements go backwards from even the Swiss movements. The reason for this is that the Chinese copy of the 2836 that they’re using was originally designed as a day-date movement, and here they’ve swapped out the day function for a GMT hand.

I'm wearing my Cronos GMT as I watch this. Agree with lots of your comments - and wondered if SM & Cronos come from the same factory too. Only reasons I didn't go for the SM was I don't like that logo which looks like a pigeon poo :D. Also I don't really like shiny black dials .I went for the Cronos with the marbled dial that looks like carbon fibre which looks good when the light catches it. I also have a fully lumed pepsi ceramic bezel which is stunning. I only which the case was bigger (42mm). Great review!

How has the movement been? Any issues?
Most owners say it's reliable. It is after all a 1 to 1 copy of an ETA movement so you can expect the same performance but the same cons. ETA's are known for the winding issue (if you manually wind the watch very often you can break ratchet teeth and now you have pieces of sheared metal in the movement) which is unfortunate considering this is a screw down crown watch so you're bound to wind it every time you set the time or change the date

Same as the other bracelets, it is about 16.5mm wide on the links and the clasp is around 18.5mm wide

How did you remove the center cap on hands? And how did you replace it.
Hi! The cap is integral part of the hand, it come off together with the second hand, so no need to replace it.
I own a Rolex GMT and Chronos or San Martin shouldn't be used in the same sentence as Rolex or even Seiko for that matter .The only watch close to the Rolex is Tudor. After that the only homage watch of any quality is Steinheart .Just hold the Steinheart San Martin and Chronos in your hand and forget about the blue and red color because it's all they have in common .You can feel the quality in the Steinheart and the others are obviously from China.But San Marten is better than Chronos.
