Just be aware that although I replaced the batteries, and the charger had green light (and also voltage between the terminals); it turned out to be a fault charger not being able to generate current and always stayed green without charging. A new charger works fine now.

FYI “some” battery chargers are so called smart chargers and they won’t charge the battery if the voltage is I think below 7 volts. You have to get a charger that will charge that will charge a low battery . Like a Schumacher sc1 or optima or just replace the battery a lot of times the batteries are still good

I'd just like to point out something here about battery and charger readings. A charged 12 volt battery will (should) test at about 13- 13.2 volts. Therefore a 24 volt pack will read double that when charged. If a i2 volt battery is measuring 12 volts, it is flat. Period. As such, a 12v charger will need to be putting out something like 14+ volts (approx.) and a 24 volt charger will need to putting out 28+ volts. I only mention this so that if people measure their battery and/or charger, and are going by a nominal '12 volt' figure, they may be misled into thinking that everything is just dandy, when in fact it is nowhere near it. A good clip, by the way. Cheers.

If you get clunks from your motor, try the motor hooked up but no chain, if it doesn't makes clunks, then is not your motor, your motor is not aligned with chain and sprockets. these toys keep me learning ufffffff lol

Correct, a charger must be at a higher voltage than the battery to push current into the battery. Example, a car battery is 12 volts and you charging system is 14 volts. double that. your 24 volt battery should charge nicely at 28 volts.

Just out of curiosity any guesses re: why the indicator light switches to green and gets stuck there? We did our initial charge (supposed to be 12 hours)...at 3 hours we briefly unplugged the charger and the immediately plugged it back in and the indicator showed GREEN. We’ll leave it charging for another 8 hours (despite it having the green LED) bc this is our first charge, but just curious what causes the charger LED to go full green despite obviously not being fully charged. 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for the video

If one battery is below the 12v the charge will not take, check each battery individually to see if it's up to 12 v , other wise it will not take a full charge, learned this already.

I have a brand new scooter and my first charge has my charger reading green. I had no weird sound. The company I got the scooter from said the charger might be faulty and will send me a new one. If it is my “new” battery that’s the problem, could it be that the battery was wired wrong or did they just give batteries with bad cells? I don’t know anything about this stuff, but I spent way too much money “$1500” on my new scooter to take chances. Advice?

Got the powercore e100 off Amazon for my 8yr old and I did the original 12hr charge even tho it went from red to green in 1st 5min, I still left it on for 12hrs. Son used up and then went to recharge and it always stayed green and would never charge. After 12hrs the on off switch when turned on wouldn't even light up but while plugged in it would light up. Rather pissed as I noticed amazon sold me this unit with Nov 2018 build date and its march 2021 now. Anyways got new batteries and it stayed red for 10 min and then went green. I unplugged and then plugged back in and charger goes red again for about 10min then goes green. I can keep doing this over and over again. What's going on? Is my batteries charged or not charged?

I bought ,2 brand new chargers from eBay to charge my E300 Razor. The lights stay green all the way, for more than 12 hours. but no charging ,and I know for sure the battery are good, no red lights at all and the charger Doe not get hot at all. Even though it's green at least it should get hot, because if gets hot it means that it's charging. So I send them back. So I bought another one, this time even though the light stay green but at least it get hot. It is changing, for how long this charger will last I don't know. It is so frustrating. I wish those charger was created by the Japanese people they're the best.

I have an ebike where if I've used it for a while and I go to charge it, when I connect the charger, even though the battery is dead, the light will stay green for the first 1 to 2 hours, but then after about 2 hours, the light will then change from green to red. I'm thinking that the charger must be detecting that the battery needs to cool down before charging.

most likely, the battery is good, just under voltage. The charger has a protective feature that won't allow charging if the battery is below a certain voltage. You will have to use a voltmeter to test the battery and then trickle charge the battery till it gets a little under the rated voltage of the battery. Then the charger should start working again. search "revive an escooter battery".

Testing the voltage without load tells you something, but it doesn't tell you if the charger works.
The voltage may drop under load, or just may not be able to deliver all the current it should.

The battery came with a little juice so my daughter got to ride it for a while this evening but putting it on the charger for the night it still shows a green light so im worried theres something else wrong. Ill leave it on till the morning and will go from there.

90 % of the time when these razor scooter dont work or take a charge is because most people leave their scooters in their garages or outside in the winter. When doing this the cold temperatures damage the cells in the lead acid batteries. When spring or summer comes people try to charge them and they either dont charge or they fully charge and last like 5 to 10 minutes before dying due to damaged battery cells. The razor scooters will only start charging if it senses the battery is at a certain voltage. If the cells get damaged and dip below that certain voltage the charger will not activate because of the low voltage. I have like 4 razor scooters. One e300 and 3 e200s. I've nodded my e300 with a 36 volt speed controller overvolted with 4 batteries to make 48 volts and a variable throttle. It does 40 kmph now and with someone around 100 lbs it can get up to 50 kmph. I've also done the same thing to a e200. Haven't gotten a top speed yet but its quick af lol. I also use a 12 volt charger to charge all 4 batteries at once so I dont need any razor chargers whatsoever. If you have a razor scooter you should definitely mod it and if you want to see a video of mine let me know.

Your batteries are bad. They will charge fully but when they discharge when hitting the throttle the power drains quickly because the cells in your battery are bad. This happens all the time because most people don't store their lead acid batteries in cold temperatures in the winter. Lead acid batteries should never sit in cold temperatures for long. If they do 99% of the time they are useless.
