A little more weight on the e-bike meaning a bit more robust framing and much bigger brakes and a little bigger rear wheels would make it safer. But you definitely without a doubt proved your point! Bang up job! So what’s your next project?🤩
Yeah, I'd think for any serious kind of hauling of trailers at least, you'd need to have the trailer wheels with brakes that are connected to your bikes brakes. Anything less than that, you're asking for trouble if you try to emergency brake.
It needs a trailer with 3 wheels, a jockey wheel so the balanced weight goes on that rather than the bike It also needs a braked trailer overrun system All are already on the carla cargo trailer which carries 200kg for bicycles and come in assisted and non assisted models
You can put the rear wheels farther back, Use Larger rear wheels, Mount the tow bracket farthr forward, Then all the weight goes Over the rear wheels, instead of behind, add baskets, Use Proper rear wheels, not gocart racing wheels, Add a larger battery, and you can make these things Haull major loads, If your Trailor has brakes then you can stop safer. you can fully replace a truck with one of these.
Just buy this and you can haul a new tv or couch etc. looks like a load cap at 1000lbs. Weather permitting. Wonder id we will start seeing this like Asia with all the little delivery trikes
I’ve been watching surronster since 50k and I just want to say how amazing it is to watch your progress and how much the quality of your videos have gone up
after around 1000 discharges you'll need a new battery. not sure about your bike, but battery powered car batteries are around $30000. towing with a battery powered vehicle greatly decrease range. Charging batteries takes a long time. I'll continue filling my gas tank in less than 3 minutes and not being required to put a new powerplant in every 1000 fillups.
I worked on an e cargo bike for a year, they are very popular in London (uk). Hauled cargo stock for business. One of the businesses with the biggest weekly load was selling kombucha, about 30 to 35 boxes (about the size of a beer crate) filled with glass bottles and liquid, whipping around all over London, some locations take about 35 to 40 mins. It's 3 wheeled, all attached to the main (not spit) frame. Crazy torque, full or not. The box seems like it's exactly the same size as the thumbnail one, but with bicycle wheel and fabricated and sold with the whole electric setup
@@EBikeBuilder_ I was mistaken about the brand but there is a brand that sells heavy cargo high power e-trikes. The trikes are orange and come in different cargo container sizes.
Next time : electric bike can replace my home and truck all in one (rends inhale puts a mattress a compost toilet a camping shower page and a propane burner lol
Glad to see you finally started appreciating Newton. Your problems with towing the trailer and towing the truck was not the power, it was the mass. If you fully loaded the trailer I would not, NOT, exceed 15 mph. You obviously have plenty of torque. But you don't have the mass to act as an inertial dampener at higher speeds.
A small tweak you can make to the bike is to add some weight to the front end to help Keep it down such as a detachable weight you can add or something built into the frame to help keep it down
How many 62 year olds in here ? After eye surgery I thought to acquire an electric scooter to go back forth to groceries. I couldn't drive there, the electric hiboys2p has been phenominal; Has opened up and grown my perspective. Ive wanted a Suron since 3 years ago. Coming from dirt bikes I couldnt justify it back then. These electric pit bikes the yz85/similar custom build is way I want to go for a first pev build... Asa custom fabricator should be a fun project. But I'll have to get way more education on the electric-side of the conversion, thats where my experience is lacking. But here this 62 yr young retiree is; Which has lead me to SurRonster...amazing world, this video is epic content. Opportunity abounds in our current world...
U could had made it so the towing ball would be exactly on top of the rear axel so the weight of the cargo didnt pulled the front whell up. Maybe even a little in front of the rear axel would send more weight to the front whell and would turn better, but also demand more from the bike frame.
In the Netherlands, they have cargo e bikes that are capable of hauling crazy heavy loads. They call them "bakfiets" over there. They use these bikes in much the same way people use pickups and SUV's here in the US and Canada. They even use them for delivery trucks around the city. The only catch is that they're not very fast. I would love to see if one of these things can be modified to go about as fast as a Surron light bee or something similar to that. Bosch actually makes a special motor for these bikes that has a lot of low-end torque.
Bro You filmed that in Sherman oaks We live mad close together lol Loves the uhaul bit That should be the official test for all ebikes from now on Pioneer 💡
Haha, "fit up to 5 people uncomfortably!" I wish Ford still made the original small Rangers like yours. And your creation looks pretty fun, just need to find a way to connect your brakes to the trailer's own brakes.
if you ever get the chance have a look at an e bike called the "dirodi rover". its an australian brand but has a really similar fram design to the fucare, but seems a lot better in my opinion
good idea for the summer and short distance. Im not hauling nothing when its minus 5 Celcius. or its pooring rain. I would take a comfy truck with ac or heater over a e-bike anyday. You have fun but dont complain about the weather, you wanted a eco friendly e-bike
The limitation is weight distribution. Could an e bike do the work of trucks? Yes but slowly. Now on the trailer end, a few tricks you could do is brake controlling on the trailer and battery extending in the trailer to compensate for the losses incurred with the weight and extra braking hardware.
Without watching this video I can say my ‘86 Ranger cannot be replaced by an ebike and it is not a money pit. I paid 1100 for it in 2012 and it’s all original accept for some body panels and normal maintenance which anything with wheels needs. Plus there is no slave labor behind it unlike ebike batteries. Having said that, I love ebikes. Pedal assist though.
To replace trucks, it’d need to be highway safe, so i say we add 4 wheels, a cab (and maybe even 5 eats too), and a utility bed for tools, and lighter loads would be good too… wait-
connect the hitch 2" in front of the center of the rear axle and you wont have any problems steering. Just like a semi truck carries its weight. google- how to install a goosneck hitch for design theory.
Ever seen someone pull a trailer that’s too big for the truck? I seen one get pushed by its own trailer through a red light at an intersection. I wanna see this electric thing with fully loaded trailer go down a hill and try to stop. The brake could be locked solid and the tires will just slide on the pavement.
Is there a joke I'm not getting apart from the obvious that it really doesn't work that well? If it wheelie when there's a Suron attached to it there's no way it doesn't flip when a U-Haul or a truck is attached to it even if the hitch is raised higher...hilarious vid tho, the cinematics are getting better and better
Leave it to Surronster to do a wheelie while towing a trailer. Truly good stuff 😂
He's insane
Who wants Surronster to make his truck electric?
Not me
Not me
Not me
Nah, he already has a electric tru-ick
Yes!

U-Haul: okay and sir, what vehicle will you be using to tow your U-Haul trailer?
Ronmister: 😏
Very cool idea! It looks like the front definitely needs to have some added counterweight, though. I'm mostly just scared about the brakes 😬😬

was waiting for you to get flattened by the u-haul. but really that trike may need wheelly bars lol.
That was super dangerous.
This man always makes my day better when he uploads
Same

Also. Knew you were worth subscribing to. Love the content and the crazy fun shit. Great editing also
I don't think he realizes that Rad Power Bikes already has a line of electric cargo trikes.
He got sent that one for free, that's probably why
Rad power trike 750w not gonna haul anything beyond the grandma riding it 😂 did you miss the part where they put a crazy mid drive on it.
@@EBikeBuilder_ I was mistaken about the brand but there is a brand that sells heavy cargo high power e-trikes. The trikes are orange and come in different cargo container sizes.
but are they 72v?
This is the bike I was talking about. The Rad Burro. ua-cam.com/video/6jKznFJ1two/v-deo.html
“This is TOW-TALLY working” 🤣🤣
Next time : electric bike can replace my home and truck all in one (rends inhale puts a mattress a compost toilet a camping shower page and a propane burner lol
Try putting go kart tires on the (bike holder - idk what its called) at the back or shopping kart tires. Just a suggestion!
What if you add a single wheel where it scrapes? Then you also will have much more steering control, since it will push the front wheel down🙌🏻 6:27

You got me here laughing like a little kid 😂 you’re the best my guy your channel is one of a kind 🎉❤

Keep it down such as a detachable weight you can add or something built into the frame to help keep it down
i wonder if you put a motor on the front wheel it would help with turns and keeping the front down.
Bro if you actually put some mini wheels on the bike rack it would work perfectly
What about making a drift trike bike ?! :DD
Love you videos, big up from the Czech Republic!

U should make some more group ride vlogs. Ur vids are always a perfect mix with funny thrown in there

Yeah but the QS138 is already a torque monster
Video idea:get a little electric moped and upgrade it to a 72v and maybe new tires and then try it out
This was super entertaining. I couldn't stop laughing especially towards the end.
I hope vorro motors sent him the new road runner pro to review that would be nice .
I’ve never heard so many funny noises before this video was awesome
Bro
You filmed that in Sherman oaks

You should Make a drag electric bike like that I think it wold we awesome and make it really fast
if you ever get the chance have a look at an e bike called the "dirodi rover". its an australian brand but has a really similar fram design to the fucare, but seems a lot better in my opinion
hey you can use like a 2 kilo weight on the front so you can still use the bike mount
cool, look at a dirt bike e motor it comes in a kit for dirt bikes and has insane power a bit of an upgrade
insane xD
love it mate much love from Canada!
good idea for the summer and short distance.

You should put a wheel in the middle or on both sides so it doesn't scrape it'll give you support it won't bounce
add a wheel to the back of bike trailer - this will keep the hitch from dragging the ground and stop the wheelie, thus keeping the front tire down
You should keep the weight above the rear axle not behind.
"It can't turn at all, but it can definitely haul!" Word...
That’s a nice video sur ronster!
Dude love your videos! I like when you do crazy things like this. Keep up the awesome content!👍💪
You should get some tire weights for the front
This is my favourite video yet. Funny too
towing a u haul trailer with a bike is so sick i cant believe it worked so well

Imagine your just chilling on your weekend and u look outside and see an old man whilling a mobility scooter
Love how e co you think you are now you transferred the pollution from tail pipe to power station 🎉 genius
Ironically I had the same thoughts last night…of an e-bike with a trailer for handyman work.
Where do you get your seat covers from, and what app do you use to see how fast you are going, and what site do you get all your toys from.
like the mini 12 inche wheels u have on Electric Yamaha YZ85
Imagine trying to fill out the uhaul application for home made ebike as the tow vehicle lol.
Pretty fun proof of concept!
one word: speedbump
No one thinks but.. It's way simpler at the Legal e bicycle speed limits
because Tourque in E motors starts at low low speed
To replace trucks, it’d need to be highway safe, so i say we add 4 wheels, a cab (and maybe even 5 eats too), and a utility bed for tools, and lighter loads would be good too… wait-
Bruh just made a pickup truck.. that is electric.
Make an Xtra battery for it that looks like a front fender for more weight in front and more kms
I need this to pull my tiny house.
Amazing video keep up the good work!!!
You should make this a dragster!
I love this build.
U need longer frame and slick race kart tires were not going up mountain
FORD: Uhh We're worried!
YOU SHOULD DO A REVIEW ON A BOXXBIKE VALKYRIE
Put a tier on the thing under the bike to hold it so you don’t scrape it all up and it would not get on 1 tier
Love this video and I love your ranger!!
Hey luv the vids man Hope your shin is better now 10:44 and your wrist 11:46
You are the best Surronster u save my day
You could put a wheelie bar on it and have a drag race
some of your edits are so cool
thats right go fast then have it push you through a stop sign!
connect the hitch 2" in front of the center of the rear axle and you wont have any problems steering. Just like a semi truck carries its weight. google- how to install a goosneck hitch for design theory.
Just make sure what your pulling is not too heavy
You should do dual motor
3:44 gt lx spotted
really love the intro
What about the electric ford ranger that’s the same generation as yours? 👀
Ever seen someone pull a trailer that’s too big for the truck? I seen one get pushed by its own trailer through a red light at an intersection. @Surronster can the yz85 go fast than what it is now
ok you can say the that thing is badass
Can you do a review on the QIEWA Q-FORCE ELECTRIC SCOOTER?
Until I see it tow a 22 ft tritoon, I don’t think e-bikes can replace trucks
How much power?
I mean just buy a small trailer meant for a lawn mower and id bet you could do pretty much every daily task even if you did land scape
If that trailer flips over you get piledrived like undertaker jumped from hell in a cell with bigshow at his back
add a wheel to the end of the hitch
Make the swing arm longer and the axle wider and it won’t pickup on a wheelie that bad
good luck getting a home appliance home on that bike
you should put small wheels under it so the back dosnt get damage
3 wheeled action towmater ebike ☝️🤟👽🚲
the motor you took off put on the front for more power and bigger tires on the back
Q: "Will eBikes replace trucks?" A: "No", no they will not my friend but nice video :-D love your stuff. But no, they won't.
hey can you upgrade your gas dirt bike?
