- Razor E100 throttle and controller, what the "click" means. Why if you install a E100 controller and throttle it doesn't work. If it makes the click sound it is NOT defective!
Thanks for the info. I to thought I had a defective controller because it didn't spin when turning the throttle. I was unaware that it had to be kick started. Bought a new controller because of it. Wish I had known before hand and saved money. I'll be wiser next time round thanks to you folks.

Hell yeah guys. I found 2 e150 scooters in the trash. Batteries were dead so first I bought a charger for $8 off Amazon and rechecked. I checked the ebc on both and one was good. I took the good ebc and put it in the one with the good batteries, pulled the throttle and nothing, spun the wheel and nothing again. I bypassed the motor and it worked. I then saw this video and put a paper clip in the brake switch and the damn scooter runs great. 2 scooters for $8. Not bad. Thanks for your expertise.

First time razor scooter user, these things are downright dangerous you twist the throttle and instantly the thing so shoots off the line not safe for five year olds! Why the hell can’t they design these things better from the get-go. What are my options here, I’d like to remove the twist throttle and just have a button as when your jet it forward your cleaning on for dear life hence having the throttle full open! The thumb operated button might be easier I’m talking for a five-year-old here!
@@JacanaProductions Hey Jacana, not true. They do exactly the opposite...they WILL NOT shoot off the line! They only engage if your allready moving....you need to kick off to get the electric motor to engage. If yours is not doing this its broken, contact a dealer!
@@johnf1353 Not true with old Razors with lead acid batteries, they shoot off the line and have no kick off function. Not a problem if you can get used to it - we got our razors for free from a neighbor.

Thanks for this. Other videos mention it needs a spin to get it going but no-one else mentions it needs to be a fast spin. So far I have replaced the batteries and the controller, everything seems ok but it does not work. Will now try this, thanks.

I just picked up a E125 for $13 at GW, turns out it works great. Thanks for explaining the "initial safety push". Without that info, I would have started to throw parts at it.

I have hacked mine and mine goes as soon as I twist but I have also hacked my controller so it flows more amps
I'm having problem with my scooter it was working fine then all of a sudden is it not go fast it said that its charge there's a green light and when I put the brake on the wheel goes fast and start spinning but then when I'm on it it barely goes like a dead battery but the battery is charged can someone help me with this problem

Is there a way to bypass that feature. I have an inmotion scooterboard that is the same way, have to move it for power to go to motor. I am trying to hook up a thumb throttle to it, since the original broke, but can't figure out which wires go where. The thumb part black, Red and white I got, but not sure about the rest of the wires.

I took all that off a scooter to put on a mini bike for it not to work until I realized it need a push. I took it all off and just got a 24v to negate all that crap
I have the E100 Glow. I found a tutorial on how to solder a jumper on the board to bypass the kickstart relay - but it was for the E100, not E100 glow. Is there a way to tel which relay is for the kickstart so I can solder in a bypass?

I've tester my battery is was right under thirteen so that was good I hooked up a jumper to the motor so I know it ain't the motor. My biggest issue is I hear no click! would that be a relay in the throttle? This thing powers on but don't budge its a e100

I replaced the battery and control box, checked all points that you showed and motor is working with direct connection to battery. 100% checked but the connector from controller to motor don't have power with throttle. help!

Hi I just came across your video I have the scooter which used to work perfectly however when I turn it on now it goes by itself without me touching the throttle so how do I get it do the scooter only goes when I pull the throttle

Different controller
My daughter managed to snap the throttle cable in half, it has 2 orange and 2 brown wires...are they specific to each wire or can i just reattach them to either orange to orange and brown to brown?

Great video guys! Super helpful but I'm still stuck. I replaced the controller and have good batteries. I have no click in the controller so what now? Replace the throttle and cable?
Side note: throttle shows continuity when I turn the throttle on orange wires only, no continuity on brown wires. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

O:12+ I have a razor Pocket mod I charged it up and at the same time it would not move forward but I did have a clicking sound before I charge it up completely now I do not have the clicking sound nor will the razor Pocket mod will not move at all period but the on and off button shows as an indication that I'm getting power to my batteries so how can I fix this problem

No need for a kit. Simply use 2 controllers and wire them to the same throttle.
Hi I've put the voltage the wrong way round in the power input and heard a click pop what part would it be it's a razor E100s model number ZK2400-DP-LD-ROHS. 24v make date 2013/09/30.

Good information! Is there anything tricky like this with the crazy cart control module? My son's razor drifter quick working after about 10 days. Battery indicator on throttle would switch from full to low and not work. Eventually the controller just started clicking. Razor sent a new controller and its the same thing. Thanks!

Yes, but it entails a lot of work. Bigger motor, batteries, controller, etc.

I have already tried with two new controllers and it doesn't even "click" new batteries, new throttle, new relay I just need to change the motor,but if I put it directly from the batteries it works properly.

Wiring, connectors, or power switch. Try bypassing power switch. Also, where did you get the batteries?
Hi bought the controller and extra batteries from Amazon just in case, but I still can't hear the click, I already check the break circuit and tested it, the motor does work when I connect it directly to the battery, I don't what else to test - is it possible that the replacement module that I got is not good? anything else I can check? I was given a e175 razor scooter and I think the motor dear on it..when I hit the throttle the box dont click so I disconnected the battery and it do click. I also plug the mother in the jumpers where the batteries go into b4 the relay box + - and still the motor don't turn even when I give alil hand spin..is the motor dear or IAM missing something..

No such thing, any larger motor will require mods.

For a razor 350 dirt bike I plugged it in to charge for 12 hrs but the green light is only blinking on the wall charger and the switch doesn’t turn on when turned on anyone knows what’s wrong 🤙🤙

You can use a drill to simulate the kick off. Just open the chuck all the way up and put it directly on the drive shaft. Take the sprocket off first.

Ok I have a E300 razor I bought new battery. The problem Im having is it not getting the full 24V to the motor. I tested the power to the motors and it goes for 3.5V to 24V for a sec. then drop under 3.5V run very slow but still 24V coming out Batt? Does that mean that the control speed by module needs to be changed?

If you turn the switch on and twist the throttle and there is no click from the controller is that most likely the controller is faulty?

Hello, i just came across your video and wanted to ask, do you have any idea of how the throttle control works? It has 3 wires so i'm thinking maybe PMW? I'm doing a little project and i need to replace it by something of my own so i need to recreate the signal the throttle control sends. Thanks in advanced!
Not PWM, its very simple. The throttle simply uses a 5v hall sensor.

Hey guys, do you have any tips and tricks to overvolt a e100 to 40watts? I did it and it works great for about 1 and half minutes then shuts down. I let it cool off for a bit then can go at it again. Any help?
Thats why you dont "overvolt". You change controller and throttle to the correct voltage.

How many watts is an e 100 motor "good" for ? I'm gutting a trash find unit at putting a 1000 watt 48 volt controller and lipo battery in it we'll see. Want to keep it stock appearing and still push my 250lb ass around to keep up with my 3 yr olds over clocked 6-12volt John Deere gator.
I want to fuse the motor for max ish current so I don't burn it up too quick.

Can I add this function (where you need to kick the scooter in order the motor to start running) to Razor e300? I assume this function will keep the motor in good shape longer. What controller do I need for E300? Thank you.
