    She could learn to spralw and stuff those takedown attemps more, and shoot for some takedowns of her own, to force her opponent to consider the risk themselves. Her coach was trying to help her get out of it, but It's hard to react to coaching in time.... but she caught on that she kept ending up in the same positions so all she has to do is remember the instructions for next time. It all just takes practice. She did good... "you win or you learn."

      Thank you! I am working on my sprawls more in practice and I do shoot a lot it's just more of a game for me because I don't really like shooting on people that are taller or heavier than me because then I'm just gonna get sprawled on.

      @@scarletteats I'm not saying shoot because it's gonna be successful, I'm saying shoot just to make him worry that maybe you'll land a takedown if he's not careful. This might cause him to crouch lower and keep his hands lower, making things easier for you because it brings his height down. Over-unders would be easier to get. Also taller opponents are easier to take down as it's easier for you to get below their center of gravity. That's why he'd want to get lower. If you don't do the takedowns, your opponent will. Someone must. Single leg and double leg are far from the only takedowns available to you. Your doing good though. Listen to your coach, not bozos online (ie me). I read the title, I like your attitude, that's why I watched.

    Scarlett is obviously stronger in the legs, and hips than this boy!! Girls are stronger than boys at this age, and have a lower center of gravity!! Next time use all of this to your advantage with body triangles, grapevine pins, and the full mount (harder to achieve in wrestling than BJJ). You will get him next time, Scarlett!! Great job!!❤❤❤❤

  • @kindinospithecus
    @kindinospithecus 5 місяців тому +4

    Yeah, the girl needs to go on the offensive, there were times where the boy was vulnerable, but she didnt take advantage of it and attack, always going for a defensive posture instead. Girls' power advantage over boys at that weight and age, are hips and legs..have to use those legs to overpower boys.
    The boy is a good match for this girl to practice and learn with until she can start to pin him using her lower center of gravity power advantage.
    As for the boy, poor guy, he was preoccupied, struggling with typical physiological boy issues. Oh, boy.

      @@MarkMiller-i8qall she was talking about was that I am at the age where my body is changing a lot and so are others,not just females. That boy is probably going through puberty and it's probably weird for him to be wrestling a girl ig you could say bc our body's are changing and it's getting "weird" to wrestle the opposite sex but I don't think it's weird

    OMG what a match 🫣 even if you lose you have done a great match and the guy was also more tired then you. He won only for a matter of points. For what I can see here I can say that you have both strenght and agility and I'm sure you'll become a great wrestler 😁
    P.S. I'm a wrestler too in my school and If I had been in your situation to win I would have played dirty by tapping the kid in his balls and making it look like an accident 😂 then I would have made an easy pin while he was in pain so I could win.
    I know I’m bad 😂 but sometimes you have to do it to win 😌 and btw it’s easier to win with guys (at least for me lol).
    Feel free to use this technic in matches too 😌😂 I wish you the best Scar ❤️ byeeee

    Scarlet, I loved the way at the beginning of the match, you attempted to control your opponent’s wrists. Forget tying up. It’s a waste of time, energy and will sap your strength. Control the wrists and you’d be surprised by the opportunity it presents to shoot. Use psychology as one of your tools… fake a tie-up and as your opponent reaches, tap-and-go for a takedown. (Meaning rapidly tap up the reaching arms of your opponent and shoot for a leg-as you circle around.) It’s not always about securing a leg and trying to pull it in, it’s about using an ankle, or a leg to pull into a spin to the back. Think about it; it’s one thing to try and shoot for a leg takedown, it’s another thing to control a wrist and immediately PULL yourself into a takedown. There is little time for the opponent to react. Leg takedowns mean keeping your head out from your opponent’s crotch and immediately drop your head and raise it to either side… clasp hands behind your opponent and suck (pull) in to your waist to complete the takedown. If the opponent is stronger, then spin to the back for points. Way too much to say here, but this technique got me to place second in the country in my weight class. (In my country) It will create opportunities on the mat for you. It’s about hand (wrist) control.

      @@scarletteats: Scarlett, everyone develops their own ‘style’ in wrestling and I’d never suggest straying too far away from what works. What I do suggest,’is adding to your style additional styles. I notice in a lot of wrestling videos the tendency upon a takedown is to ride the opponent with one’s body on top. I used to practice and coach having a practice partner on the bottom (hands and knees) and having the partner on top place ones lower chest/stomach on the opponent’s back and spin/rotate from side to side rapidly. I’d saddle up beside my opponent, right arm around their waist and with my left arm, collapse the opponent’s arm, dragging them toward the collapsing side’s shoulder. Then, I’d spin around to the other side, hook under the arm, over the neck and drive them onto their back. Really worked well. When they flipped sides trying to squirm out, I’d spin again to the other side and do the same thing. It usually got me lots of pins. Just saying… cheers!
