Really happy to have found this channel. We have a beautiful 1996 Suburban C1500 which we use for fair weather travel. The truck has 405,000 trouble free kilometers on it. We follow a strict regiment of servicing and care. We have the O/E KN47 air intake, Stainless steel braided oil lines, relocated PMD (always have a spare), new pulley and damper every 100,000 km's just to be sure. The 4L80E 14-bolt 8-lug has G80 and is a good mate to the 4L80E. 3.42 is the final drive ratio, for our needs it is perfect! We run 265/75R-16 tires with really a highway rib design. Ours is a late 1996 so we have the newer dual t-stat outlets and a huge Duramax fan. Never see lower then 16mpg around town and a true 26 mpg on the open road. Thanks for posting!

I never really here people talk about cam upgrades for the 6.5 it would be interesting to see a cam swap and comparison for the 6.5
When i gets enough money ill be buying it ahahah
