It’s been a while since we filmed in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland and with the ever-changing food scene we thought it was about time to put together a series of spots we’ve been meaning to hit up for ages as well as old favourites which we’ve never had a chance to share on the channel!
What we ate and where we ate it:

I had a weekend in Auckland with my husband recently (he’s been working there) and he took me to Swings straight from the Britomart train station. Was so good! DC Swinger and a matcha latte ❤.

The bulgogi toasty looked yum, but was almost pushed out of my mind by the Indonesian food! It's almost 5 AM, and I haven't been to bed yet...but now I'm craving coconut rice and sambal. *groan* Thanks for showing us those hidden gems!

An extra bit of naughtiness is to have fried pork lard on you CKT. Paling sedap dan enak2. Roti canai with a kopi susu is my go to mark an page in Malaysia, but a basic nasi lemak is also a great way to quell tummy rumbles.
Love it with pork lard! Sims Kitchen in Onehunga is halal though hence why it’s absent- I believe they do a non halal version at their new city branch! Thanks for watching mate. Cheers, Sheena

Great video. Idea for future videos. Put the name of the dishes in text on the screen. Pretty sure you are pronouncing the food correctly, but us mere mortals pronounce it wrong from the menu because we don't get educated on the correct way to say it. Text on screen, correct way to say it. We are educated :)

I missed the words at the beginning. Or didnt understand them. But great video! I just hope one day I don't have to refer to my hometown Melbourne as Naarm Melbourne or the whole country as Gwangdonaland Australia. I can barely remember the town names now. How about Numurkah? Thats where Im from. Is that indigenous enuff to keep the protesters at bay? It means "where the rivers meet" in Yorta Yorta
