RV stove oven combos in good shape have a value people like to put them in cabins workshops or outdoor kitchen because of their small size and they're easy to remove so keep that in mind when you're tearing apart RVs
Silas, you are one of the hardest working men I've seen here on UA-cam! You're a good Man to stop and help your Dad when he needs it, and you are a great Dad and Family Man! I really enjoy watching your varied content you share with us! Be safe, stay well !!!
Amazing two day haul. It has to be relaxing messing with cars like that. I know it's a lot of work and you make it look easy but from a young age I always loved to go to a friend's wrecking yard and watch the crusher do it's thing. They would page me out in the yard to go home. Aside from being a heavy truck mechanic all my life my number two dream was to own a wrecking yard. But a 31 year career as a truck mechanic/Supervisor at the City of Mesa took center stage especially with a young family back then. Take care my friend. Until next time.
Silas we have a shredder here in North Little Rock , Arkansas , unload next to it see how the separate types of material is fed to a different conveyer and dumped in piles surrounded by concrete enclosures that front end loaders scoop up and load into dump trailers or enclosed trailers . All of the scrap is not any larger than silver dollar . They don't take tires or gas tanks . The shredder is the hammer anvil type that beats everything to pieces . A lot of the steel is loaded on barges across the river and shipped . The last time I saw the shredder it separated stuff into about ten different classifications . You gotta see it to believe it , it's so Cool . Great videos
Consider using a flatbed straight truck to pull your trailer. You could double the load per trip. And if you hired a driver to take the loads to the shredder, you could spend more time crushing cars.
Another great episode as always. That guy working the grab is really good at his job, I like the way he diligently stacks up the crushed cars so neatly. Keep well and keep safe. David in the U.K.
I agree about the time change. We lose an hour of daylight in the evening in the UK in winter. My body never gets used to it as summer time clocks are the setting that is in synch with nature and my brain. Another thought; why don't you get a semi for yourself so that you can take more cars to the claw in each load? It was just your luck that with your hundreds of cars you didn't have one with the correct brake part!
I lost track of how many cars you took to the claw, well done mate, your yard must be a bit less congested now, BUT more car will come in to fill the gaps, so you will continue to be busy yah hoo!
Another great video, keep up good work, love to see them old junkers mashed. We are patiently waiting for another video. Have a good evening, get some rest.
I don't like daylight savings either! More and more states are electing to not utilize DS. It really does no good, causes depression- Seasonal Effective Disorder, and reduces productivity not to mention confuses old people, lol. Love watching that claw operate, it is no respecter of brand, lol. Love the videos, I wait patiently for new ones. Keep up the great work. Stay safe and GOD bless
I really enjoyed the video but especially with the music selection you added to it. I get a lot of satisfaction watching you smash and stack cars and trucks. I'm really eager to see your next video featuring hidden and lost treasures left behind in the junk vehicles.
Silas, those busses in the background, I used to come in to Hutch and pick up those units and deliver all over. another contractor stole the contract . Rest well....
If I was living nearby I would love to come over and help out, cutting cats, taking off wheels, pulling batteries and so on. But it would be a long drive to and from work every day. Greetings from Melbourne Australia.
Thanks Silas, I can understand why you get impatient, having to wait around for people that don't turn up and all the waiting at the junkyard to get unloaded when you have so much work to do. I feel like I've done a days work just buy watching the video!!
That adds a ton of weight and makes it slicker than snot when wet. If you’re not dragging a ton of nasty stuff off and on then wood is definitely the best
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch Something to eat? Like what? Big fat steaks grilled right there in the junkyard! Yum! Yum! But what to drink, Pepsi or ___________?
I had a claw operator bent my trailer Beyond use, loll, my trailer barely made it home that day 1 hour , loll so I never took cars back to that yard, , oh that’s good information on the Jeep axles fitting under s-10 15s , nice straight axle options, nice thanks BigAl California.
Salis that was so good you hauled a lot of cars loved it I think that is the most I have seen hauled away really great thank you for your time and for sharing really good
When you crush cars or send them away, do you have to remove the license plates ? I've tried to buy plates from cars that we're in yards, and I had to give them back. At least that's how it's done in Pa.
Conveyor belts with different sorting features. Pressured air blown across the conveyor belt blows the plastic and cloth and those kinda bits on to another conveyor belt. Then a conveyor belt with magnets pull the steel bits out and dump on to another conveyor belt. There are other ways but i hope i explained so you get the idea of it. Im sure these days there are laser beams and robots somewhere in the process
That guy who said he wanted the seats? He just needed the bolts that hold the seats in place. That’s my theory. Horse(s) probably had composite road shoes on. They’re anti-slip and sorta make a “Thud” instead of a sharp “Clip-Clop”.
In the good old days, auto parts shops would have just a row of car parts books that would cross-list parts that were interchangeable. I just hate Day light savings
I'm guessing the seats were from the Olds Silhouette? I bought a 2003 new, drove it 190K miles with original spark plugs and original coolant, until the tranny died. Everyone who changed the coolant needed a manifold gasket within a year, so I never changed it! Great minivan, for the 190K miles, the trip computer says it averaged 26.2mpg. Exactly the same as a V6 Audi A4 Quattro I had before it. The other commenter with the theory that the guy just needed the bolts for the seats might be right, except that if the seats were like mine, there were no bolts on the middle and rear seats, they had catches you could release to take the seats out and put them back in. But there were other kinds of seats available, based on trim level and options. I actually still have the seats, because the last few years I just used it as a cargo minivan, and put the seats in my warehouse, pretty much like new. Same color and texture as the ones you sat the cars on.
Maybe if you keep running into that issue (availability) buy a new cheep brake booster cause maybe the new ones have a different valve size? I don't know just an idea I could be completely off base
That Mercury Sable looks similar my parents use to have we got the car from our former neighbors my dad said 1 car was not enough for us & my neighbor wanted to get rid of his Mercury instead they gave the car to us it lasted longer than my parent's Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 2 door but the Oldsmobile was not enough for our family & when we got the Mercury it was good car but now we have now 2 Toyota's a 4 Runner to replace the Oldsmobile & an Avalon to replace the Mercury
What is the red colored big rig at the end of your view of the shots in this vlog , is that a Bull nose Peterbilt, ??!! Nice , thanks BigAl California. Praise Jesus grace Christ amen 🙏.
There’s enough work there for three or four guys. I don’t doubt you’re tired at the end of the day!

I'm surprised that you didn't have the part you need somewhere in your many yards.

You got a lot cleaned up. The claw is mesmerizing. Really enjoy your adventures. Peace

Always Big Thumbs UP every time 👍👍
Yes Mary,I hit the thumbs up before I watch
When you said, "you had alot of cars to haul" you meant it.
I hope you slept well after that.
Man...id love to just spend a month down there with you working and helping you out. Seriously. Maybe even longer lol

This music and the Claw makes me think of some SiFi movie kind of war of the worlds

A new video....thank you so much. I was waiting for more from you. Thanks for posting.

How cold does it get there in the winter? 😊
They must like you at the local scrap yard. You are probably their main customer.

There is a shreader at altars in des Moines !!! I have watched them loading it !! Its cool !! 😊👍👍👍👍
Evening Silas, man, you hauled alot of cars this video....be safe, God Bless!!!
I really don’t do much so I watch you work. Love The BREAKING BAD CAMPER
Good looking tires on that Hyundai . Not sure on the spelling. Spell check didn't figure it out. Lol
wow that is a nice ford truck
The Claw. Their yard looked empty. Shop local.. Thanks for the upload
Yeah we are their biggest supplier a lot of months so when we go elsewhere it dries up

Great content Silas 👌
This time change really messes with a mans fishing too. LOL
That music got me to thinking of a good name for a move " THE OF THE ROAD LIFE AND DEATH OF A CAR "

Wow Sails even my cat Isabella like seeing you do your work!
Tons of fun !
Maybe you should offer the grab driver a job working in your yard. He is very good, and neat and tidy with it.
GOOD JOB!
I agree the time change sucks.
26:50 The twin to my 97 Honda Accord right down to the paint color.
Get 2 or 3 sheets of tread plate for your trailer to protect the wood
That adds a ton of weight and makes it slicker than snot when wet. If you’re not dragging a ton of nasty stuff off and on then wood is definitely the best

cool music , you could shop for parts on your many lots.
I'm in mount Vernon Washington we have to much rain
Take the motorhome to go see the claw!
Hi hope you are all well and all that stuff just to say it's not long before you are at 30 thousand subscribers all good keep it up
Now everyone wants to buy your cars....Advantage Silas 👍🍻
I wish we were closer....I'd love to take a few of those old tractors off your hands for yard art. Love the videos!

It's 4:15 am and I'm up watching your videos. Good stuff.
Get one or two parts trucks for your truck, if you can find them
Enjoy your videos brother. Keep them coming
Salis that was so good you hauled a lot of cars loved it I think that is the most I have seen hauled away really great thank you for your time and for sharing really good
I could see it now,Bleachers at your crusher, and atThe Shreader
Oh yes, I'm sure the liability insurance company would be right on-board with that idea! Right?? 🤣🤣
@@DarkFlamage agreed 👍
Great video!
if you ever in md i will take you to the shredder we shred over 300 cars a night + ton and tons of tin
Love the mangulation of the little car.
I need a front end loader with forks!
The music is as close to Das Boot as you can get without ending up in court over copyright. 😁
i also run a fuch like but it had a magnet on it
Evercoat fiberglass kittyhair
That was a cool video ty
Love the music
What keeps people from dropping of at the yard you drop at instead of yours? Exspecialy if it is so close to you.
So cool 😎

Silas what do you do about airbags in the cars?
The shredder dices up cars into small pieces, then extract plastic, cloth, and rubber from the bits? How does it work?

@@CowboyCarCrushing Thank you for the explanation. No doubt robots control a huge piece of these operations.

Did you get any claw yard flat tires during the making of this video?
One is leaking so I’m sure there’s a nail or a hole
Ha, Santa Claus runs the claw. I hope you didn't get any flats.
Goodbye Chevy G series van! My first work van was a g20.
Would you ship a part if someone wants it????
The grab guy was having a nice quiet day until you turned up !
Lover video in the music
What happened to the car seats? Did they stick to the bottom of the car? 9:29
👍👍👍
Yes 😆
Does your older dodge pickup a Cummins diesel its not a bad looking truck
Can’t you find a truck/vehicle in any of your yards?? 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Have you considered buying your own tractor trailer??? Would the savings from hiring a trucking company pay for your own truck??
Just owning the truck and having a driver would probably save a bunch
Like it go go go silas 😅

DST all year would suit me just fine. I like late sunsets in the summer when I wish to work outdoors.
A lot of work you’ve done today young man.

if you need a part have it 3d printed.
