Yes most definitely, defensively we can squeeze in spell suppression and armour/evasion to make the build even tankier, and offensively we can build into adding critical multipliers and stacking even more mana. But all these are very high investment upgrades
@@gametalktavernwell the problem is physical damage so going for spell suppress on top of eternal damnation is not necessary. You want as much phys taken as ele as possible
@@kylebusc3624 indeed that’s the case if we stay on loreweave and eternal damnnation, but for the next level upgrade we might need to forgo that and switch to rare gears instead
Thanks! The arcane surge from the ascendency is a level 1 arcane surge, but the support gem gives us level 20/21 which is a lot stronger. Ooh I didn't know that they don't stack, thanks! I have changed it to reduced effect of curses in the PoB.
quick question, you have the lightning node allocated (Cackling speed is final node). Is this from the leveling or is lightning part of the shock value in the build? very indepth guide!
Thanks! Lightning is actually the main damage type of this build because majority of our damage comes from the archmage support gem, which turns max mana into flat lightning damage. Even though we are using ice nova as the main skill, we actually do very little ice damage.
I tend not to play the same build across different leagues so probably not. But there are no significant changes to the build as far as I know so most of the information should be still relevant.
For my glove, I bough a fractured maximum mana base and spam screaming essence of envy until I hit those stats and an open suffix. Depending on your luck, you might need to spam a lot of essences to get it. I got mine after 30 or so essences. If you have the budget, it is better to use deafening essences instead of screaming for higher tier modifiers
it’s probably still viable but you will need to find ways to squeeze in crit rate. and you won’t be needing the kitava thirst anymore. The set up with Kitava thirst is just easier and more quality of life

Nice build, but 2 things:
- Why Arcane surge gem if ascendancy passive gives one?
- Cast speed on flasks does not stack

it’s probably still viable but you will need to find ways to squeeze in crit rate. and you won’t be needing the kitava thirst anymore.
The set up with Kitava thirst is just easier and more quality of life
to slow but good for beginners
