Wow, thanks a lot ! To be honest, Asthenia is one of the tracks I doubt strongly. I had really small amount of time to put my final cuts on the melody and fit in the deadline with production. It was a bit chaotic. Maybe I will look into it some time. Thanks for your support !
Really great song though =) One of the reasons behind this contest was actually to listen to some good music, and that is something I actually got to do =D I really find the rhythms in this song leathal, aswell as the riffs being very heavy. Also, it feels almost as if you´ve taken classical influences; The track feels really living! =D Maybe you haven´t, but it´s more common in classical music that the tunes sound living. Great, keep up the good work!
At 3:33 you add the guitars in a way that makes it sound very aggressive, I really like it! Also, the drums get more exciting and aggressive after that. The outro with the piano was a bit calmer, but it still sounded very rock-inspired. It is really good for the consistency, but then the piano wasn´t used that much and therefore sounded a bit out of the blue. You did use it at 3 places though, so it´s hard for me to decide if it was too out of the blue or not. Hopefully not =) [not done]
Ah, dude, you should have won, definetely :) This track was really well written and extremely consistent as well, by the way. I liked its themes, I liked its flow, it is perfect, time to listen to it again :3 Btw I totally saw that going into technical death metal or something at 1:55, there I think like from 2:10 you could have added greatly in texture, distortion, volume and speed and it wouldn't have taken anything. I'm just missing a final chord here xD Subbed, awesome stuff man Cheers :)
Don't worry, at least I like it xD well yes, ok, I spotted some minor misperfections the second time, but that is very forgiveable and not obvious, some transitions may be smoothed a little, but then, what for? The piece might lose its character due to that... Also some parts with the ambient and the bass, strangely enough, reminded me of dubstep as well, so kudos for having such a diverse approach :)
I really like the intro with the adventerous/rocky piano, but when the guitar comes in it feels a bit out of the blue =( The consistency wasn´t the best, but I believe it could be fixed if you would´ve included the piano in the harder parts or if you would´ve had a smoother transistion. The aggressive parts are just wonderful! =D The guitars sound really professional aswell as really heavy! You also have many different kinds of aggression, which is really nice! [not done]
One part which I really like is the one at 2:10; Really aggressive! Something I believe could´ve strenghtened the feeling is the drums; The drums are a bit too casual than what´s needed =) They could definately be more aggressive. They´re not calm, so it´s definitely great, I just believe it could´ve been better. At 3:02 it´s a lot calmer than in the rest of the song, but the drums still keeps the tempo up, which I believe wasn´t the best thing to do. [not done]
