Q. Didn't you say Travel Speed and Combat Speed are different? Why are you equating them here?
A. It seems like some people in the comments are complaining about the speed feats I used for Superman saying there is a difference between travel speed and combat speed. Both of the higher end speed feats I used in the video are combat speed feats as is the immeasurable speed scaling. In the shattered god feat wonder woman is reacting to trillions of fragments flying from the other side of the universe in moments and in the reality blitzing missiles feat Superman is flying throughout the universe destroying missiles. He's also pushed Warworld back to the beginning of time DURING his fight with Brainiac and literally just span Jimmy Olsen into the past. Superman has also reacted and countered Superboy Prime's "Travel Speed" with his "Combat Speed" before.
Q. If Superman has immeasurable speed, why doesn't he use it for plot purposes?
A. Most if not all of the outliers you guys are mentioning aren't even from post crisis and the ones that are are simply Plot-Inudced Stupidty. Post Crisis has been repeatedly shown to be capable of traveling through time via sheer speed alone more so than nearly any other character in fiction. It doesn't make sense to argue he isn't that fast, rather that the plot hinges on not making him do such.
Q. Why don't you mention MUI can dodge everything Superman can do?
A. MUI Couldn't even dodge everything Jiren could do, who was relative in power and speed to him. Pretty common sense for anyone that has seen the show.
Q. Where is Goku's ability to adapt?
A. Goku has never shown the ability to adapt to something like immeasurable speed and implying he would is awful headcanon, it's like saying Goku would adapt to Whis' time reversal ability, just completely unfounded. In another example, it's like saying Goku can adapt to things that haven't even happened in the future, which has never been remotely implied.
Q. Isn't it stated that Superman has to accelerate to Light Speed?
A. Everything has to accelerate to do anything, normal human punches don't have infinite velocity just because they're combat speed oriented or something. Light in DC is similar to Dragon Ball in the aspect that it is not the same speed as it is in real life, it has relations with many higher dimensions and characters like the Flash after outrunning the Black Racer to the end was only stated to be going at light speed despite clearly going much faster than what we consider light in real life.
Q. But didn't you say x years ago?
A. I don't know where this weird philosophy that over years of research and argument you are NEVER allowed to remotely change your perspective, and arguments or evolve as a researcher / debater. It's honestly baffling that I even have to say this, it's like you guys consider every video a single continuity of one perpetual argument rather than updates to meta's, which is the point of these videos.

Technically if goku is also traveling behind light speed he can theoretically move backwards through time but that's only if our current theories are correct and as you get past lightspeed you gain infinite mass which would warp your reality cone so bad you would travel backwards in time if you could control it that all hinges on if we are right and if dragonball physics work somewhere near our own

If it did, goku would’ve became part of a singularity or a black hole when he tried to fight hit in the tournament. Or by the time he passed light speed, or the time he created a mini galaxy like structure under him in the tournament of power. Comics also are very different from out physics, string theory is not even a theory anymore in comics, and apparently moving past the speed of light in comics doesn’t just cause the end of the world by detonating miniature nukes with every decimeter you movie in... or just creating a black hole by moving so fast that your fist become as dense and gets he mass of a star, which in a shape and volume and size of a fist, you would basically bend time and space. That’s why things with immense mass in the universe are called black hole and are thought to make you go back or forward in time, or take you to another dimension. Physics!!

Goku could blast similar energy that could mimic cryptonite and he could also blast whote light and other forms.of energy Superman wouldn't be able to handle. Goku could blast the sun apart and it's over for Supes. And even if Goku died he would train in heaven (infinite) and come back stronger as he had done with all his opponents. Plus skills play the bills and Superman cannot move like Goku. Easy work for Goku.
@@Jesusisyhvh1 Goku can't mimic kryptonite because kryptonite isn't an energy. It's fragments of his planet when after it exploded. Goku has nothing that could hurt Superman and even if he could blow up the sun Supes could literally just fly to a new one before Goku could react.
@@genesis4322 Goku can destroy an entire universe with his power, and destroy all the yellow suns. Plus Goku has different types of techniques and using red light would end Supes career for good. There is no faster speed than teleportation. Superman is a power charger he depends on the sun, you destroy it and it's over. And you can't kill Goku, and if you do it's worse for his opponents because he trains in heaven which is infinite and always comes back stronger in no time.

technically not true; the android saga, timeline games (budokai/xenoverse), zamasu saga etc all prove there are multiple timelines of the characters, possibly even dozens of them, and each one supposedly differs in some way from the next timeline either through historical events or the characters themselves (like characters being dead, never existing, existing where they shouldn't etc etc).

@@petermad7476 yes, each timeline is technically a different goku, as shown by goku black, zamasu, and original universe 7 goku co-existing. similarly the two xenos prove this as well, as do the games and the future trunks timeline as the future where gohan dies and stuff still existed according to trunks himself at the end of the android/cell saga. there are multiples of EACH dbz character one per each timeline/alternate universe, same as super man, rick sanchez, marvel, any multiverse which uses the multiverse theory, and theoretically us as well.

@@hellothere4964 Broly was definitely inspired by Hulk though, OG Broly had green energy and yellowish green hair, and was definitely a rage machine (as the fight with him dragged on, he got angrier, and as he got angrier, he got stronger). I haven't seen the new Broly in action, but he wears a decent amount of green from what I can tell, and is still particularly rage-fueled in combat. He's basically Dragon Ball's Hulk.
The one consistent thing seems to be that Goku grows more powerful, both in defeat and in hard fought victories. Numerous times they have shown him gain powers, skills, and breakthroughs in the course of a fight. The longer the fight went on, the more of a chance for Goku to improve.

For the whole dragon Ball speed thing, you have to remember that when animating they have taken consideration that if they make things too fast they aren't going to be able to animate them, considering the fact that dispo is one of the fastest people in the tournament of power, it's pretty well to say that he is a lot faster than light, if people don't agree with that we could take the argument to Goku Mastered ultra instinct, if Goku was able to dodge jiren's attacks and key blasts, specifically full power jiren after he had surpassed his limits, there is no way he isn't at least a hundred times faster than light in this form, not to mention that depending on how fast he wants to keep lasts to be the speed of the key blasts could be downplayed, also another little note, Goku as a child was able to dodge lasers and considering lasers are condensed light, that means that the lasers should be moving at the speed of light, if that is true in the dragon Ball z universe and that means that a kid Goku was able to dodge light before even a super Saiyan or kaioken transformation.

Nothing, I'm starting to realize the vast majority of writers for Superman were fans of him that had very unhealthy obsessions and wanted to try to prove everyone who said Superman could lose to this character or that character wrong... Because every single one of these feats that I've seen all sound like fanfictions and fan services.
This could be applied to any powered beings stories. I doubt most writers think about the science behind some these feats when write them whether its how much force is required to punch a mountain to pieces or flying from one galaxy to another in some ridiculous amount of time.

Western comic book characters lend themselves to these debates and often have the advantage because Western writers seem to be obsessed with showing off how strong the character is by comparing them to some oddly specific pseudo-scientific feat. Seriously, who cares that Superman/Flash can think and react faster than an attosecond? It would suffice story-wise to just show/say that the hero just reacted faster than the villain (Stuff like this contributed to comics having a really nerdy/uncool reputation in the past, in my opinion). Japanese media doesn't really do that as much, but rather demonstrates characters' strength by comparing them one to another. How strong is this new villain? Stronger than the last villain and he was super-duper strong! Keeping it that simple helps us understand the level Dragon Ball characters are on, but isn't that great when comparing to Western characters who are written to be compared to impossible real-life feats.

American characters are written like a hyper 7-year old explaining how strong his dad is. Anime characters (though some can be just as ridiculous) are written like an author only cares about his own story and not whether his character can take on John Cena or not.
