you guys are too good and giving away all the tricks that have to be learned over the years and after countless surf sessions until they become so ingrained that you don't even know that is what you're doing.
I imagine most of the people you coach are beginners or intermediate surfers. What I and many aging surfers suffer causes us to find ourselves standing on the back of the board, feet together. It's an over 50s problem and basically we can no longer step through with our front foot. It literally gets stuck half way. It could be the spare tyre but I see this in quite thin people as well. These days I have given up figuring out the problem. I find the best thing to do is not think about anything and let my subconscious deal with it. What's your thoughts?
Im over 50 too, but I learned good balance by training on my slide skateboard in the bowl. That really changed my surfing balance and weight distribution.
