The title that started it all, which needs no introduction. Follow Link as he travels across Hyrule to recover all 8 pieces of the Triforce and rescue Zelda from Ganon and his troops.

My late 80s Saturday nights... "Don't turn the power 0ff"!!!!!!
So childhood, we meet again.
I remember I had friends that had this game, but never really cared for it for some reason and when Zelda II came out I preferred that game over this one and still do. One day I finally decided to by a used copay for like $2-5 at a game store and finally beat it, but I did use maps for the game just to get through it faster. Great playthrough!!!
Pro Tip: It’s more Entertaining to the viewer when you use all your weapons and items consistently, not just the Sword 🗡️ & bomb💣 (on all games)
It'll always, slightly annoy me that Zelda got a battery save backup but Metroid didn't. Still good game.
The original Japanese version of 𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘪𝘥 on the Famicom Disk System had it.
TBH I never cared for the battery save. Back in the day I was paranoid about the battery wearing out and ruining save functionality, and then what-- send the cart to Nintendo to fix it? I was so upset about this that I even wouldn't buy an NES until they addressed the issue. Finally I relented because I realized the games would be playable for at least a few years. And there were games like SMB3 which didn't need this.

This was the first game I've ever played.
The 2nd Quest was so much harder.
19 official titles, and still going strong.

A bit lackluster compared to its sequels but it has the basis.
