Great review. I was curious how the weight feels? I had the KTM fork and I did not like the wait for wheelies and actually went back to a mountain bike Fork. The KTM Fork seemed to take the nimbleness away from the bike along with the wheelie performance. Have you noticed this at all? These forks I think our 5 lbs a lighter than the KTM Fork not to mention you can use a lighter break and wheel setup so it should be noticeable?
Another quality piece of informative review type action - just have a look at the influence your work (lucky b'stard) has on those below - I take it you get a consideration for basically doing a 10min marketing video - I know what 30secs used to cost in the middle of Coronation St - approx £50k - and that was for bloody chocolate - I'm never gonna be in the market for these but anything emoto related that's reviewed objectively is worth 10mins of anyone's time. Obviously not 10mins of my bird's time - she's doing my dinner! Good work Stingy - another blinder!
@@stingyrogerr Much appreciated! The few posts I've seen of people talking about it it seemed people were worried about the weight vs EXT. I saw your comment on FB mentioning these only weigh 1.6kg more, which is not bad when you consider the extra travel and 39mm stanchions. EXT seems to claim a lot less weight than you found, which makes the difference seem a lot more
No sir. But i can get a discount on the new rfloxa forks. They are one of my new favourite’s in my track testing video recently. Also with 228mm travel
Similar but not the exact same! That was my exact thought when i took them out the box aha! But no there are some differences, these are thicker and chunkier overall. Thanks bro! 🔥❤️
@jacobcuijpers702 did you get these forks as I have sm 21 front wheel and I'm having trouble fitting it, the original surron spacers are the big for the axle causing whoobleing and it's a really tite fit as I have to stretch the forks but the spacers that come with the forks fit fine but I literally have less than 1ml between brake disk and trye rubs.
Yes this is true, but i prefer to route it this way because when i swap to supermotos 16” front wheel it can sometimes rub my tire! But yes you are correct should be inside really
Love the videos bro I no this has nothing to do with this video but looking to get a controller for my Surron and was looking at a Torp tc500 would you recommend it and if so where’s best to buy one in the uk
Hey bro! Yes i reccomend them! Did test that controller out on my channel. I have a discount code :stingy5 gets you a discount from torp direct it gets you the cheapest price around 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What is the length of this shock? Trying to figure out what it will do to the ride height on my Eride Pro SS. Looks like an excellent alternative to an EXT Ferro.
Hey! They are 2 inches taller than the stock fast ace unweighted, it transfers to about 20mm taller once its laden with bike weight as more travel = a little bit more sag 👍🏻
@miketdaniel coil and im 67kg and they were perfect. I did adjust rebound a touch out the box only 2 clicks but other than that spot on. Liked the way they felt so retuned my ext shock to match the feel👍🏻
they come complete when you buy from link in description ready to bolt on. Including axles and crowns. The company ‘volar sport’ makes the kit using formula’s forks and sells it complete for surron/talaria installation
770mm they are made for these bikes and therfore will be a touch shorter than 85cc forks, much lighter also but the same level of performance albeit with 235mm of travel to feel better in line with the rear shock.
Very similar performance with a bit less travel and much less weight. I also have sx85 forks but removed due to the balance upset and also the geometry became strange 👍🏻 definitely reccomend
@@stingyrogerr thanx for reply damm I'll keep that in mind so u saying the ktm makes her to heavy mins already 230lbs but okay thanx for extra information and keep on doing ur shit kid
Have you actually owned or reviewed the EXT Ferro? Cause i can' find it in your videos. Want to actually hear how it compares. The stats on this fork provide little information on the actual technology used and it really seems like just another cheap chinese fork with more travel.
Yes I have rode them when they initially were released when a buddy of mine got a set we rode together about 4 times over a period of a month while he adjusted his and i gave them a good beating. I didnt get the opportunity to video it as I only video maybe 10% of my riding. These forks are made by formula so they are not chinese at all they are infact made in Italy 🤣 there’s many people in the italian high end pitbike scene running and servicing these forks they share a similar design to enzo forks and are the equivalent performance to oem sx85 forks. They just feel spot on. I still use and love my ext arma mx shock btw
The external outer/upper will be of a thicker metal but yeah the lower stanchions will be 37mm! I also have a 150r awesome machine but too loud and hot to get out most of the time 🤣 these uppers are about the same as my 150r uppers but much much lighter! As always thanks for watching
BTW guys. The actual weight is 6.3kg not 6.8kg my bad! So 13.9lbs for the USA guys!
Good to see ya back, bike is looking sweet
Back with another fire vid 🔥 I need these forks in my life 😩
Cool review I love it! May want to reroute that front brake cable to the inside, it will prevent snagging and eventual kinking.

Yes mate! It is only a touch heavier than the ext. i would say it feels in place on the bike and doesnt unbalance it!
Definitely considering these just waiting on frame to come back from powder!

Perfect thank u
Just gone on to order them and they don’t ship to United Kingdom 😢
Hey Stingy,, did find torque specs anywhere or did you just tighten to the "feel" of tight? If you have torque you mind sharing?
@@chriscall3425 i always just tighten to what feels right. Usually torque spec feels a bit too little for me
Front brake line want to go behind the fork😉
It rubs on supermoto 16” 💔
Back with another banger, finally a set of forks that can handle the rider :) Are those still the Fastace triple clamps??

Thanks bro! 🔥❤️
Can you run this fork with a 21"smprowheel with a surronstyle hub plug and play? They look pretty legit...
Ah I’m not sure man! I never used a 21” front! I’m only short! 🤣👍🏻
@@stingyrogerrbut your not on stock rims also.. is it like a mtbstyle hub? The same style i bought from smpro with a mtbstyle hub
@jacobcuijpers702 no it is a talaria style hub. You can see at www.wgtracing.store

Thank you Logan! 👍🏻
@@stingyrogerr maybe I missed it, but is the front brake mount set up for the Volar right out of the box? Or does it require an adapter?
@logan-taylor it comes with two mounts in the box! One for volar sport and one for regular mtb style brakes! I missed that part out of the video!

I believe 790mm 👍🏻

My Fast-Ace forks are 37mm and my CR150R forks are 37mm. However, my 150R forks are much larger?

Ferver review… lol
🤣
How do they compare in weight to stock forks?
They are 500g heavier than the stock forks!
Also how wide can you go as far as wheel/tire setup?
On the front I always stick to 70/100-19 mx tire and rear 90/100-16 mx tire or a 110/90-16 rear for supermoto ! Those are pretty much maxes.
@@stingyrogerr70 max? 😮
On supermoto i use 90/80-16 front. It depends on tire, the only thing limiting is fork guard but can be trimmed and gain 10mm more each side
