@@geridamas935 " ...some of Kenny's videos ..." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes that could have provided him with a way to earn a living, by posting his videos on UA-cam, at least for the time period in which he was alive. Since then, the National Park Service has made it virtually illegal for a youtuber to post a video on YT if that video is taken on federal land, which I'm sure Kenny was exploring. So even now, institutions cut off dreamers and artists from creative pursuits. Governments and private entities continue to narrow and restrict opportunities for dreamers like Kenny.
The videos of folks going into underwater caves are the scariest ones of all. Pretty much the biggest nightmare there is. A desert ending is up there, tho.
Just a reminder, I'm not diagnosing anybody in this video; only speculating about what could be happening when a hiker is lost while looking for mythical destinations like this.

As a fellow creative, the impulse is always there to try and make your own way, to support yourself by selling your own art/creations. He clearly needed outlets for his frustrated artistic side (whatever we may think of his knick-knacks and toilet roll holder, he was clearly very creative!) and from the early days, social media, etsy and UA-cam in particular, have beckoned as ways that creators can earn a living off their own output. Sadly, the reality is, for every Dr Grande, there are thousands of us who never really make more than a few quid here and there, and for a lot of us, that's fine. I've followed this story for a while now and imagine for Kenny that promising life line was beckoning just out of reach. Tragically, he met some unknown downfall just as his audience was beginning to build. Even the nay sayers who were leaving negative comments on his M Cave video were hooked. The great irony being that since he disappeared, so many other UA-camrs have filmed their searches for Kenny and the "M Cave". I agree, Kenny most likely felt so despondent he took his own life out in the desert he loved and made sure he was somewhere his body is unlikely to be found. I hoped for a time that perhaps he had just disappeared to start a new life, but this seems less likely after all this time. Kenny's final art work: he created his own myth.
Vibrations coming from a cave are not uncommon, with underground water systems being a common cause for caves. It's not abnormal. His reaction to a perfectly normal occurrence is abnormal. He might've been in the throws of a manic/psychotic episode where he then correlated the natural vibration of the cave as a perceived magical occurrence. Someone in that state is definitely susceptible to the dangers of nature.
Exactly. And I bet these underground water systems in caves can cause infrasound we are not able not hear but that leads to anxiety and panic which Kenny described.
@eily_b Thank you for mentioning infrasound. Every time I hear a story of "spooky happenings in the woods," I think of infrasound. It's naturally occurring, often intermittent, effects animals as well as people and causes all sorts of unusual perceptions and sensations.
This is one of those stories that’s just sad as Kenny clearly seemed to be very nice and wanted to do more than he was doing in his life and be creative, but wasn’t able to really succeed. He could have been a good vlogger considering how he did a good job with the video when he tried to find the M Cave. Unfortunately, Vlogging didn’t really become a big hit yet on UA-cam, but he could have been one of the pioneers on UA-cam in the genre and have had success that way. Thank you for talking about Kenny Dr. Grande, please take care and keep up the great work!
That was quite beautiful Dr Grande. I got into this case in 2020 and found it completely captivating for some time, being lost in the desert of the lockdowns.

Well one thing is sure - you’ve no problem speaking badly about the guy. I always felt Kenny was brave enough to give up on the rat race and follow his dreams - but struggled with letting go of the material things. God love him 🫶
Yeah this is one that Dr Grande might end up pulling,, the humor about a depressed and unsuccessful guy who came to a sad end (probably) is kinda inappropriate,, reminds me of Dr Grandes *absolutely scathing* recounting of Anne Heche's career and personal quirks,, this was a couple days after she got horribly burned in that car accident... So while she's in the hospital quietly dying, doctor Grande is doing this just brutally sarcastic analysis of her, and she died the next day... Needless to say that video disappeared from Doctor Grande's channel faster than a chocolate chip cookie disappears from Steven Segal's coffee table...
@@Schreibtisch1 from what I recall he basically implied the guy was a loser (I don’t like using that word) and had crazy ambitions. "Creativity is associated with self-reflection and the tendency to ponder existential concerns. Kenny was extremely creative, perhaps he became lost in an exploration of his feelings." Nail, meet head.
Some people live their Lives like a slow delayed suicide of sorts; Kenny did. The realities of his life mirrored the harsh desert....he had few possessions to sustain himself, and in the end- it killed him.
@@TheTrevelyansway I think that's a fair assessment. I certainly don't buy the idea of Kenny being a target of anyone. It's likely, I think, that his remain lie hidden somewhere in the desert, very possibly inside a cave.
Maybe Kenny was trying to escape his depression, and had found that his outdoor adventures gave him relief in the form of something akin to a "runner's high"? By going public with the documenting of his outings, perhaps he was attempting to integrate that euphoria into his everyday life so that it might permanently replace his depression. Just my thoughts as a lay individual with similar past experiences. Thank you, Dr. Grande. I'm confident your analyses are actually helping many viewers to come to terms with their own problems, as is admittedly the case with myself. '
I enjoyed this video, doc. As one who has hiked in the desert, a cardinal rule for desert hiking is to take more than enough water. Rule of thumb; if you return to your start point with a dry hydration pack or canteen, you have done it wrong! NEVER out hike your water! Kenny's petchant for habitually hiking the desert without adequate water is a huge tell. This isn't just reckless, it's a sure indicator of self-destructive impulses. More than anything, this one fact alone points to the strong possibility that he eventually decided to commit suicide.
I never believed there was an "M" cave. It's always been my opinion he placed his phone in one place, then went the other direction as far as he could, found a hidden spot and took his own life. I feel sorry for him.
I concur with your theory #4. Back when this story was current, I was fascinated by it and thoroughly investigated it. Based on many of the facts you stated and on things Kenny wrote and said and on things his girlfriend said, I firmly believe that he went out that last time with the intention of committing suicide. One of the things Kenny said, concerning suicide, was that if he ever did do that, no one would ever find his body. So far, he's been correct. I do believe that some day, someone who is out in that area, on a completely unrelated task or adventure will stumble upon his remains. I just hope it happens while I'm still alive so I can know that final chapter.
I hope he is never found, because he seemed like a nice, if very lost, guy. If there is no body, there is still hope that he managed to create another more fulfilling life for himself somewhere away from the internet. Unlikely perhaps, but having survived my own, I prefer to think his crisis had a happy ending.
I was thinking that too. Maybe the thought of letting thousands of people down because he lied about the cave, was too much for him. It’s weird how his cell phone was just sitting there, by an open mine shaft, but no sign of someone falling in, and they searched it. Those mines go down so far, I don’t know if the rescue crew actually went down to the bottom. I highly doubt it. Ever dropped a coin down one? That’s also weird. Coins around the mine shaft opening. I’m baffled.
I think his hubris was a factor in his last trip. But that's definitely something to consider. I'm sorry he didn't get professional help. Depression is a bear that almost got me and that's taken too many others. RIP, Kenny.
I once got lost in the Cradle of Humankind caves (where our original ancestors lived) after smoking a joint in there. There isn't much wildlife in their, but boy is that environment intimidating. As the sun goes down, the temperature plummets and its just pitch black silence. Knowing that many had died in there didnt help either. I could constantly feel the presence of something.
This is such a sad story, like many out there. Ive followed this for awhile and feel for Kenny Veach. I hope whatever happened he didn’t suffer. People have mental health problems sometimes and try to be happy…”fake it till you make it.” I just feel sad for him.
I m sure it was meant to be a little harmless humour at your end, all the bathroom accessories jokes but somehow it's kinda sad that someone's life could just be summed up like that, with his failures or not so successful attempts. 😔
Yeah Dr Grande sometimes does these asides that are meant to be ironic (imo) and people take it for a warped sense of humor... The thing about the toilet paper holder,, that was kinda uncalled for but hey it's his channel and covering the material he does,, a gallows humor is kinda par for the course...
@@micnorton9487 I agree.. i have seen many of his videos, and he adds his little puns and jokes. Mine was just an observation not a critique of his work. It was more introspective than anything. How a life could be summed up as a caricature. It was nothing personal🙂
I didn't like that joke. He should have left it out. The poor guy was suffering and really wanted his invention to work out. This is why I'm not subscribing. It's not funny. Maybe I'm being over sensitive but someone I knew went through this too.

This area is part of the Desert National Wildlife Refuge. Drive a few miles from the Corn creek Visitors Center and it can be remote. I've done some trail running to the high point of the refuge called Hayford Peak, and never have seen another sole all day long. And to think that your only about 20 or so miles from Las Vegas.
I think that Kenny was one of those individuals that has large dreams but no real way of making them a reality. On top of being erratic, reckless and depressed...but from everything I've seen and read, it doesn't seem that he ever got help for his depression. I do think he found a cave, but I think it was only a way for him to 'disappear' and leave a legacy of mystery for himself, leave his mark so to speak. I think he went out that day knowing he wasn't going to come back. It's very sad, but kind of predictable too based on how reckless he was in caving/hiking and his depression.
I have extensively covered The Kenny Veach case for years on my channel, 260 videos made documenting: 2018 CCTV Footage of what appears to be Kenny Veach 2022 Call made by Kenny Veach from FB account. Strange sounds caught on his hike The crystal skull in the mineshaft The hidden sword and tent spot and much more. It's a shame though most people don't do their research on this case. Instead they follow the same old story and script.
I use to go caving in the mountains of Ohio. They were sooo huge and pitch black. As a teen my buddy was in front of me in a cave and had the light,I was following him,he hit a wall and I backed up. My left foot fell in a hole that was about 5 foot deep. Luckily I am double jointed in my legs and my forehead hit my right foot instead of the edge of the hole. It was still a great experience and there's so much to see down there.
Although born and raised as a Michigander, I now live in Ohio. I wonder where are these caves in Ohio. I know there are quite a few however, I'm certain there aren't any near where im currently located. I'm surrounded by more cornfields than caves. I do miss the forested areas of my rural MI home there was always so much to do, see, and discover out there. I'm glad you made it out okay and for the most part seem to have enjoyed the experience! :) I don't reckon I'll ever undertake any such caving ventures. It's fascinating that some are fearless in their explorations and had it not been for people like yourself throughout history we would have to rely on our oftentimes narrow imagination of what may lie just beyond the unlit, and often desolate cave systems. @@LynnAgain83 Those caves were stupid huge. In Ohio it was 10 degrees, and as soon as u get into the cave it's a good 60 degrees. The caves get so huge they are as big as stadiums and get so small you have to wiggle to get through. Really fun and a great experience.

I feel badly for Kenny and for his family who have no answers to what happened to him. I believe that Kenny did perish out in the desert, either intentionally or by his own neglect. The tragic thing is this: not one of us lives in a vacuum. Our decisions affect others. For example Kenny put the lives of the search team at risk. If he wanted to end his own life, which I believe he had a right to do, then he should've done it at home where he could be found, his family could have his body and therefore some measure of closure, and he wouldn't be putting others in harms way.
Could you cover the murders from the documentary Confluence, that happened in Lewiston Idaho back in the late 70s and early 80s? Take care, Dr. Grande.
In watching this particular video I'm reminded of Alice Miller's statement that "contempt is always the weapon of the weak." Grande's deprecation of Kenny's life seems to go a bit beyond professional.
I’ve learned over time that this channel is primarily entertainment. Even though Dr Grande is monotone and allegedly a Dr, his videos are a lot better if you treat them as humor
I feel Dr. Grande has a lot of empathy for the sad and downtrodden. He tells their stories with humor and just a touch of sadness. If only we all could treat our fellow man this way.
He said the cave was "shaped like a _perfect_ M", so I searched it up... and really, it's so subtle it could be interpreted as the shape of anything: a triangle, an N, a Z, heart, zig-zag...
Dr Grande, please can you consider covering the recent deplorable acts of "true crime analyst" Zav Girl? Mainstream news chanels have even condemned her thankfully and true crime Natasha Cooper is also under fire, both for sharing brutal autopsy photos for money. I would appreciate a perspective coming from you as a more ethical true crime analyst.
I am a solo hiker too. These stories make me so sad. I understand everything about this guy. I grew up very poor myself and no matter what happens I will always worry about being there again. Therefore, I did give in to "the steady paycheck." So unlike Kenny, I kind of have sold my soul. I try to be philosophical about it because the career does allow me to fund one or two hiking trips a year. I would rather stay gone too, but unemployment terrifies me. The only thing I do not identify with is the "I play with rattlesnakes." People who respect nature do not interfere. I love photography, but I never intentionally endanger myself or make the animal feel unsafe. I think Kenny intentionally did this somewhere where he wouldn't be found. There is a mystique about people who walk off into the wilderness (in this case desert) and never come back. People are still looking for Everett Russ. I have yet to be able to bring myself to watch your video on Randy Morgenson. I read "The Last Season" a few years ago.
Why would you say you sold your soul ? Unless you are involved in criminal activities or doing something morally reprehensible , I'd say working to support yourself is the responsible and honorable thing to do .
I watch your content nightly as I find your voice soothing. Most of the time I wake up hours later and listen to your tale. Someone I like as well criticized you and I was surprised. She never said why but I think I understand now. There's no humor in mocking suicides. Regardless, see you tonight.

Good evening Dr Grande, excellent analysis. When Kenny said the cave vibrated I thought of an earthquake ( small one). But, most likely Kenny knew what earthquakes were. I agree with you that Kenny was depressed and chose the desert to make his exit. As always I learn something new from your videos. Have a great Friday and stay cool.
I watched this case on Mr Ballen, and 1 thing he brought up about the “M cave” was that the military may have, using their technology, caused what Kenny described feeling in there. They use it as a way to deter people from exploring sensitive areas (I’m not referring to Area 51 specifically here). John Allen was in the SEAL teams, so he has some insight on these things. I don’t think that cave had anything to do with his death, however.

Yes, she commented on some of Kenny's videos. She thinks he commmitted s**cide.
@@geridamas935 " ...some of Kenny's videos ..."

Yes that could have provided him with a way to earn a living, by posting his videos on UA-cam, at least for the time period in which he was alive.
I once entered a cave. Thank god I made it out alive! Caves are dangerous, light goes off, good luck.
The videos of folks going into underwater caves are the scariest ones of all. Pretty much the biggest nightmare there is.
A desert ending is up there, tho.
Well that is why you bring food and water and rope and 3 flashlight/torches.
Damn straight. The only way to really understand how dark caves really are is to go into one and turn off your flashlights for a minute
I entered a cave once also. It was frightening until I realized it was Batman's secret lair. He swore me to secrecy...oh wait...oops
I kind of don't like the idea of having tons of rocks above my head all the time.
Great to hear Grande’s insight on this mystery. Nice video.

Hey Wavy.

Just a reminder, I'm not diagnosing anybody in this video; only speculating about what could be happening when a hiker is lost while looking for mythical destinations like this.
He seems like a very educated, intelligent person to me. Smart people are usually quiet because they know it's better to listen than talk. I get so much good information from his videos. I've met 100s of thousands of people in my job of 14+ years, I know people, mostly good, surprisingly.
Hahahaha that literally made me laugh out loud

RIP Kenny! This one was tought to listen to even with the humor. Sounds like a good guy who just wanted his dreams to come to fruition. God Bless you Kenny.
Great analysis! You not only provide a fair analysis, but you also educate, inspire with a light touch of humor. As a teacher, I appreciate your infusion of alliteration! Keep them coming, Dr. Grande! You are part of my daily workflow! ❤
I absolutely love your channel. I am on vacation in FL and had to come in from the beach to be able to get service so I could watch your video! I think I'm addicted! 😆 😊
One of the few happy addictions.
I missed like 5 or 6 days of videos of yours...was on vacation and barely had internet. I'm so excited I could jump up and down cuz I get to watch multiple new videos. I need to join patreon...
He would be a fun person to hang out with!
It's unfortunate explorers like him couldn't find a companion.
He sounds like a very enthusiastic person.
Someone mentioned that they could have used tracking dogs to locate Kenny. I agree. That's a great idea.
They often do and the dogs pick up no scent at all.
He’s deep in a cave with a hole thru him. Let’s leave him be.
Dr Grande, i am entirely amazed at how well you spoke of Theory #3 with a completely straight face... 🙏🏻👏🏻🤣🤭🤭🤭👏🏻
I always prefer Dr. Grande's oppinion. He knows what he's talking about.
Excellent analysis and humorous space alien theory.
Excellent observations.
Thanks for the upload, Dr. Grande. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
That was quite beautiful Dr Grande. I got into this case in 2020 and found it completely captivating for some time, being lost in the desert of the lockdowns.
Dr. Grande! Another Home-Run! Excellent “Analysis”, You Added Practicality, Common Sense, & Objective Based Facts In Describing The Narrative & Once Again Added Humor & Creativity.🥰.
Why are you capitalizing everything?
You’re pretty funny Dr G, I enjoy your sense of humor, dry, dry, dry😊
I feel stupid now, because I haven't heard any bad words about him, what do you mean he did say?
@@Schreibtisch1 from what I recall he basically implied the guy was a loser (I don’t like using that word) and had crazy ambitions. The guy was a real person who probably had a lot of his own troubles and found a connection more so with online ppl and nature than he did or could with the society system we live in.
@@phylk4683 That's very interesting, because I absolutely haven't heard or understand it this way. I will now carefully listen to this video again. Thanks for your reply, appreciate you.
"Creativity is associated with self-reflection and the tendency to ponder existential concerns. Kenny was extremely creative, perhaps he became lost in an exploration of his feelings."
Nail, meet head.
Some people live their Lives like a slow delayed suicide of sorts; Kenny did. The realities of his life mirrored the harsh desert....he had few possessions to sustain himself, and in the end- it killed him.
He was likely a "targeted individual" and those at Area 52 would have been involved in whatever happened to him.
@@olilumgbalu5653 I disagree. I bet he found a deep secluded cave and crawled in far as he could and used his gun.
@@TheTrevelyansway I think that's a fair assessment. I certainly don't buy the idea of Kenny being a target of anyone. It's likely, I think, that his remain lie hidden somewhere in the desert, very possibly inside a cave.
Another sad case for sure. Great analysis and congrats on 1.32 million subs!!🍾🎈🎉Thanks Dr G💌💌
I swear to god this is my favorite YT channnel, out of many. Always entertaining.
Interesting (and I just found Kenny's UA-cam channel). Thanks, as always, Dr. Grande.
I never believed there was an "M" cave. It's always been my opinion he placed his phone in one place, then went the other direction as far as he could, found a hidden spot and took his own life. I feel sorry for him.
Not speculating, just astronomically inclined to investigate 😎 Thanks Dr Grande!
OMG I remember having watched his video! It stuck with me, because he was interesting and sort of charismatic.
@@yvehooson9262 it didn't. he killed himself
I watched this story on Bryan's Mysteries and Adventures on Trail yesterday. What a bizarre case. Suicide?
RIP, Kenny.

Bryan's Mysteries is such a great channel. Tragic, but great none the less.
Other utubers went out there and looked for kenny, the spent quite a bit of time and effort really trying to find him and or the M cave
Toilet paper roll technology. You are a funny funny man. That’s part of the reason why I follow you. Your humor. Dry humor. Carry on.
The metaphor at the end really hit me… well done!
Thanks for another great video, Dr. Grande.
Yup, those alien pilots must have horrendously high insurance premiums.
Awesome alliteration, as always.
Agreed. Applause! 👏
The Theory's of disappearance are fascinating
Great analysis dr. Grande
People should actually research the Kenny Veach / M Cave case properly.

I don't always agree with you, Dr. Grande, but I usually like to snag your take on these cases. Well done.
How sad. I'm sorry he was never found.
I have extensively covered The Kenny Veach case for years on my channel, 260 videos made documenting:
2018 CCTV Footage of what appears to be Kenny Veach
2022 Call made by Kenny Veach from FB account.
Strange sounds caught on his hike
The crystal skull in the mineshaft
The hidden sword and tent spot and much more.
It's a shame though most people don't do their research on this case. Instead they follow the same old story and script.
Ty for sharing your informed ideas Dr. They're very interesting!
I don't reckon I'll ever undertake any such caving ventures.
It's fascinating that some are fearless in their explorations and had it not been for people like yourself throughout history we would have to rely on our oftentimes narrow imagination of what may lie just beyond the unlit, and often desolate cave systems.
Voyage on, my friend.🍻

Another great review & fantastic round up on this sad case... 🎊🎉🎆🎇🥂👏🏻😄 I feel really sorry for this guy, I think he was struggling with depression, mental illness...😞 Similar vibes to that case with guy who built himself a ufo home & blew himself up 🛸💣💥
I feel badly for Kenny and for his family who have no answers to what happened to him.
So much zest for life, yet depression won. So sad.
Respect for including theory 2 & 3
Great analysis Dr.Grande, I love your channel.
Just a reminder, we love the crap out of you Dr. Grande. 🌵
Yup
Oh wow, I remember asking for this one years ago on your channel. Awesome stuff.
Could you cover the murders from the documentary Confluence, that happened in Lewiston Idaho back in the late 70s and early 80s? Take care, Dr. Grande.
I’m not liking making fun of this dude after he passed.
Your very neutral tone of voice mixed with your expressionless toned sense of humour, is hysterical to me 😂
That’s a good picture of him in the tree.
In watching this particular video I'm reminded of Alice Miller's statement that "contempt is always the weapon of the weak." Grande's deprecation of Kenny's life seems to go a bit beyond professional.
I think it’s to provide entertainment, not to criticize him. Seems to use a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor.
Maybe her statement is bullshit, who knows. It's also a bit ironic; since she's essentially being contempt to those who are contempt.
He said the cave was "shaped like a _perfect_ M", so I searched it up... and really, it's so subtle it could be interpreted as the shape of anything: a triangle, an N, a Z, heart, zig-zag...
People disappear in the deep wilderness all the time. It's pretty scary

Good evening Dr Grande, excellent analysis. When Kenny said the cave vibrated I thought of an earthquake ( small one). But, most likely Kenny knew what earthquakes were. I agree with you that Kenny was depressed and chose the desert to make his exit.
