Very few people are rich enough to pay so much for a first attempt like this. It is highly niche and probably only for influencers and film stars wanting to pose or for genuinely wealthy people who can afford $3000, knowing its lifespan will likely be limited.

The experience I get from a foldable is on a higher level. This Mate XT Ultimate is my dream phone now and indeed a game changer! God Bless Us!

I've always been a huge fan of Huawei, too bad that they have no Google support anymore! I have a Samsung S24 plus now, but i still miss my Huawei P30 Pro... yet no phone's zoom came even close to that one, taking pictures of the moon and tiny insect or grains of dusk, or just taking pictures in total darkness, it was fun. Its overall performance was also top notch.
In fact, you can use Google on Huawei phones and there are corresponding applications. The biggest drawback of the phone is that its processor performance is not enough.
It is definitely Google and Android's lost. Now Huawei have Harmony OS and the Next Gen OS. Google is completely replaceable especially if you are in China.
I'm a bit worried about battery life if used fully unfolded with 3 screens but I believe it's a LTPO OLED screen and with auto-brightness on, I'm sure you can make it through the day with at least 5 hours of SoT which is plenty for me. If this was made by Apple, it would make worldwide headline news but since it's China exclusive and made by Huawei, the news headlines are way less, mostly covered by tech publications instead of general news media. Now if this cost as much as a regular foldable, just under $2,000, I would seriously consider it yet I'm not quite sold on regular foldables costing $1,800+. Huawei has really made something special here and need to be applauded.

Z fold is using top SD chipset. But this one? It's worse than Mediatek chipset. Plus that 5000mah battery for 3 screens?? Just one screen is already draining hard without playing any games. But three? I don't know.. I'm not really complaining, but this kind of flagship should be done by Samsung after they release their triple screen concept many years ago. I disagree. Any sensible business person would carry at least two devices in case of issues or needs, especially as Huawei still only runs Android. Doing anything productive compared to a laptop will be wasteful time management.

Promising technology! Looking forward to when the build quality matches the price, the folding plastic screens still look very cheap and I doubt the short lifespans have been improved yet.
The problem with this phone is that the outside screen is also part of the foldable screen. Meaning that it's the soft kind of screen and even when closed it's at risk of scratching easily. You can scratch these toes if screens with your fingers by accident, I can only imagine if you put it with your keys.

I disagree. Any sensible business person would carry at least two devices in case of issues or needs, especially as Huawei still only runs Android. Doing anything productive compared to a laptop will be wasteful time management.

The problem with this phone is that the outside screen is also part of the foldable screen. Meaning that it's the soft kind of screen and even when closed it's at risk of scratching easily. You can scratch these toes if screens with your fingers by accident, I can only imagine if you put it with your keys.
