...and there will be more to come. - Розваги
Gene Hoglan makes everything seem so damned easy... the man is just smooth as hell.
I mean, he _did_ write the drums, right? If anyone were going to make it look easy, it should be him.
They all make it look so easy. Such amazingly incredible musicians.
@Malcolm Reynolds he's also a really great lyricist.✍🧠
Whatafuck reality!!!!! Gene’s a fuckin atomic clock
Self taught as well !!!
Steve's bass playing is out of this world. It adds a extra dimension to an already perfect song.
100% He's an absolute tank here. Shame he didn't play on the album. As you rightly say, another dimension.
@@BillBuckingham I saw Gene saying, that Steve wrote this album's bass lines...
@@KM-sr71 Yeah I have heard Gene saying that even though Steve didn't recorded bass on Symbolic but he was involved in the entire writing process of this album.
Respeto tu opinión. Pero creo que digiorgio ensucia el tema. La lines de bajo del disco la encuentro super elegante y perfecta.
Steve's style is so loose yet tight as f@#k!
I apologize initial viewers, you can comment now if you like. Fixed the comment section...
Are you planning to do a album with new songs Gene?
@Neverman even though I'd love the idea I kinda have to be a party pooper but would it still have its signature death sound without chuck?
@gene also btw im not sure who in obscura wrote it but if you don't know it listen to "Incarnated" by Obscura.
they've been largely influenced by Death, Cynic and necrophagist and certain kinds of death like melodies and overall guitar playing shine sometimes through especially in their earlier stuff.
But definitly pls listen to "Incarnated" If you haven't heard yet I think it's a wonderful "tribute" to death without even being a cover.
Greetings from germany and keep up the good work
Thanks Gene, quality video as always!
There should be an option on UA-cam for one person to do a thousand likes. I most certainly would. This is outstanding. 👍🇦🇺👍🇦🇺👍🇦🇺. (R.I.P. Chuck).
I look forward to more to come. You guys rock!
Big shouts to the vocalist. Chuck would be proud having Death's songs covered like this one.
That was amazing!
Isn't that his cousin? I remember seeing dta on tour and I remember hearing that it was his cousin playing and singing. Looks so much like Chuck too!
The singer isn't the guitarist with full black shirt? What's his name?
@@MrAD-mb9nh Yes he is. Max Phelps.
25 years old and still as powerful as ever. Will still be listening to this in 2045!
25 years soon passes... :^O
Of course. As soon as I remember this melody gotta play it. Sometimes loud sometimes quiet.
Jef Loonheers I remember listening to death for the first time in 2005 and being being blown away. Gotta thank a random metal head who had a Death shirt for that. 15 years since my first exposure and it always feels like I’m listening to them for the first time
Haha 2045 will not exist
Three former members of Death collaborating with a guy who sounds just like Chuck. Perfect.
Every time Bobby plays that lead at 3:58 I get chills. Still my favorite Death lead to this day.🤘🤘🤘
Next to Chuck, Bobby Koelble was THE guitarist of Death. His melodies, solos were so unique & awesome! 👌 🤘 👍
And andy laroque ?
@@gregoryguyonnot7348 Andy was only a quest guitar player for some solos on individual thought patterns album. Not a stable member of death.
I think Murphy is way more talented
As great as those others players are, none of them composed those amazing solos in Symbolic, it was Bobby, whose playing style is so unique.
Every guitarist that played with death was a guest lol.
bobby and his solo stank faces was as epic as the solos. haha it sounded awesome
Stank faces... Lol!!! 😂
Every song a masterpiece.
Solo at 4 min gets me every time I hear it...emotional! One of the most beautiful moments of music in an already amazing Death song.
Was thinking the same. Cheers!
Again, Bobby Koelble, such an underrated, awesome guitarist. Such fluid, imaginative playing. Awesome.
Every Bobby solo on Symbolic is amazing.
Great song, great performance. You give a second life to Chuck's work.
Awesome 🤘❤️🤘
Death/Chuck’s music just doesn’t age at all
It's just so f'cking good! It's timeless
Bobby killing those solos once again... Absolutely underrated guitarist.
Vocals are sounding very close to Chuck, well done. THIS IS NOT A GAME!!
Honestly, sounds so close, looks a bit like him, and even has the black explorer
@@DrBagel666 95% match
You all must be old, def and dumb. This sounds raspy and weak like he has one lung with pneumonia, tuberculosis and is asthmatic.
He would be fine in a 1980's thrash metal on a worn out cassette left in a hot car for a summer.
@@twistymcfistysback I have ZERO TOLERANCE for people with A LACK OF COMPREHENSION
"In the dark of night
Abusing a portion of light
While others are sleeping
And some are escaping
A serpent spews out fantasy-
Unjustified blasphemy
That cannot be condoned"- chuck (zero tolerance)
@@DrBagel666 Very creative, and yeah we all know the lyrics but it don't change the fact the vocal suck.
Gene, you are unmatched. Man plays so technical its impossible not to be really impressed by this drumming performance!
Gene and Dave Lombardo are the best metal drummers of all times.
I was extremely lucky to catch the DTA in LA a few years ago, I ditched work and got fired the next day, WORTH IT!
Saw Death on the symbolic tour. One of the best shows I have ever seen. And Steve is a very underrated bass player. He is one of the greats
Bobby's solo in this song is one of my fav Death solos ever
Rest In Peace Chuck.
Your legacy is being carried on by these so down-to-earth and legendary guys.
This is even more meaningful with the not-so-long-ago loss of Sean Reinert. RIP Sean & RIP Clendenin.
The remaning members, please take care of yourselves. We need your music for years to come.
BTW, Bobby Koelble's Abysmal Dawn t-shirt is amazing! 😎
Man Chuck wrote some absolutely crushing riffs, even when he took Death in the more Tech route. This just comes down like an avalanche!
Man does this kick ass! Over 20 years and I still listen to Death all the time. I cant get enough of this!
It is amazing to see Steve D playing songs from Death's albums in which he did not play. Please do a song from The Sound Of Perseverance.
Não tocou, mas participou do processo de composição do Symbolic. Se não me engano, não gravou o disco por causa do nascimento de um filho...mas não tenho certeza se foi isto mesmo. Se tiver interesse posso checar a informação.
He actually played on all demos but was unable to record (don’t recall why, health issues I think).
SPIR RRRRIT! CRUSSSSSHHHHHAAAAAAA!
@@rodrigo0303 He actually had to leave because he had to go back to Sadus
@@hugolafhugolaf he also had a kid ha
I hope that I would be able to see Death To All live after this pandemic is over.
Plandemic
It will never be over if people don't start standing up for their rights. 100% plan demic. Research people... Evil Chuck forever. Keep your minds open and powerful, just as Chuck did.
Hell yeeeeeahhh!!!! \m/
It will never be over.
I did and it was one of the best things that happened in my life
This is the song, which turned me into a Death fanatic. That middle part with that solo and constant snare fill blew my mind and still blows it every time I listen to it.
I imagine God shouting at Chuck "Yo! Come check this out"! And Chuck gets the biggest smile on his face...
You guys are wicked awesome! Much respect to you all \m/
Iike good wine. The old boys only get better. "Trapped in a corner" would be awsome. Individual and symbolic were the best.
Trapped in a corner would be great song to hear
Would love it 😎👍 trapped in a corner has some of my favorite riffs and double bass parts on individual thought patterns, wow what an album. Remember the first time I heard it in high school...it still blows me away 😊🤘❤🔥
Totally agree with you
ITP and Symbolic are awesome albums, but you can not for get about the most aggressive Death album of all...HUMAN!!!!
For me, that was Death's greatest album!!
if they could get Andy LaRoque to play the solo, i'd pay them haha
That Sadus sound of the bass... ♥️
This makes me want a new version of Symbolic with Steve playing bass
So cool that Steve adds his flair and it's seamless. I've just done quick Googling and Steve did record on the Symbolic demos, and its pretty similar to what he plays here.
@@arrell I wished he was able to play on the recording. And that album always seems to be the odd one out of reissue agreements
Fairly Secret Music the new reissues got remixed with more bass in the mix is why. I’ve read that Chuck always intended to have those remixes happen as he was never happy with the bass sound on Human or ITP. He of course never got around to that in life. He said Symbolic was the first album he thought was mixed perfectly and he didn’t think it needed to have anything done to it.
Bobby's solo was flawless... My God one of my favorite Death songs played spot on once again...Chuck's legacy will never end
Bobby's solos are something that no one else can't play so stunningly! Inimitably! Belissimo! 👌
Damn that guys voice is Killer! Gave me Chills. Rest in peace Chuck
More Death please! RIP Chuck, Sean & Scott.
Sacred serenity please, Death- they never played this song it live.
Same with Destiny but I feel like it's because the song was about Chuck's brother who died when they were younger. Might have been too emotional for him to sing.
@@christianclark2748 Exactly, and seeing these guys who were original members playing that song would be awesome.
I agree and it's one of my favorite songs too.
Such a great great song
bought 3 versions of this album so far in my life. every part of every song is perfect, you all did great work back then and now.
Fucking beautiful! Thank you!
Looking out for more in the future, original lineups playing each song.
Thank you for keeping Death Alive!
Nicely said :)
Immensely sick, music hasn't aged a bit. Sounds as powerful and epic now as then.
Symbolic will never get old. One of my top 3 albums of all time for sure.
Death is the greatest ever, and this rules.
I see that Max has improved his energy/headbang-age. This was amazing!!! I loved every second of this video.
You guys sound great. Keep the music alive for generations to come
I saw this same lineup live in Romagnano Sesia, Italy. Up to that point I didn't realize the power of Chuck's compositions in a live environment. Even pre-Human stuff had an energy and a vibe that I would have never anticipated. I entered the location a bit skeptical at first, and I left thinking I probably experienced one of the most memorable concerts of my life. I enjoyed the HELL out of that show, it grew on me by the minute. Thanks to these guys who brought those songs to life, masterfully. They were beyond great. I never saw Death live (unfortunately), but I have the feeling that Chuck would be proud of them.
Every single one of them bring so much to the global performance, it's just perfection.
What a kick ass rendition
Just one word outstanding hope Chuck enjoy this amazing tribute I enjoy this Yesterday in Gdl Mexico
Awesome Gene! Thanks you guys for doing this! Love it!
💖👌✌👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏😁😁😁😁😎😎😎🆒🆒🆒🆒🆒🆒🆒🆒🆒 I still Cover a set of 13 Death Tunes to this Day Love'em ! R.I.P. CHUCK !!!! NICE THANKS FOR DOING THIS !!!!
Chuck is very happy and with a big smile where he is!!!!!
No words. Just admiration.
AMAZING!!!!! My favorite track from my favorite album from Death: Symbolic!
Thank you, Mr Atomic Clock!
Fantastic. Still can’t believe I got to see this live 6 years ago
Please Gene upload the version that only You are playin. By the way this is a masterpiece. Respect the Steve 👍
Don't let Schuldiner's legacy die!
Greetings from Brazil!
Top album and band brilliant all killing it again 🤘🥁🎸
my goodness, i never expected. amazing work, just like the record and recorded live, truly amazing work
L'immortalità delle canzoni di un gruppo chiamato Morte... magnifico. Mi scende una lacrima ogni volta. Grazie di cuore al mio batterista preferito di esistere... Saluti dall'Italia
Grande simo
WoOow hahaha Super Shredders here🥰🎶🎵🤘🏼👏🏼🙃😁Great job and Thaaankyou!!
steve is playing outside and he still gets a perfect recording with perfect tone
this is so very awesome to see so much respect paid to chuck. absolutely awesome performance by each one of you! cheers my metal brothers!
My mouth was agape at the 3rd minute solo!😱
Good job Bobby!
Thank you for keeping the metal spirit alive. I saw Death tour without Chuck first time at Noorderligt NL 1990. From then on I never missed a show around here. In 1995 I talked with a tall guy in the public about the support act and metal in general. Happen to be Gene I found out later that night when Death played their show. I also went to both DTA tours more recent. I hope you guys will see the chance to tour again with DTA and play at a large metal show here in Europe. Graspop, Hellfest, Dynamo or sort like.
Wonderful. Chuck is proud.
Wow the vocals sound just like him, this is greatness
thank you !!! thanks for Chuck , thanks for death metal and thanks for us of everyone !!!! I miss you Chuck .... your music live always and forever
6:30 am WAKE UP music!! Other bands: Do you want a job? Death To All: Do you want to WORK? That’s what this kind of music takes; work! Epic as always, guys! Mad respect!!
Amazing! Every single dude is amazing! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
All day!!! very nice to hear and see this.
thanks Gene
Excellent
Cheers for Chuck🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Ottimo lavoro!!
Anche Chuck, ne sarebbe rimasto contento di questa esibizione 🤝🤟
As a 41-year-old bay area musician, all i have to say is thank you. These are the nostalgic years-Chuck, Gene, Steve, Bobby, Andy, Paul, Sean -you all changed my life in the 90’s. Absolute unequivocal pioneers. What metal has become-even though it’s calculus to the ears, i still enjoy, to an extent-But the magic that you all encapsulated with what you did with Death-I’ll always be grateful. You all contributed to the story of my life. Thanks again!
Amazing Gene 👍🤜🥁🤛👍🎤🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘🤘. Greetings from Las Vegas N.V.
Thank you Master Gene for this awesome video Guys...thank youuu 🤘🤘🤘
It's just, perfect.
We lose the best way too early, RIP Chuck.
Met Gene in Santa Clara at One Step Beyond when Death came through in 1992 IIRC. I was 16 and this metal god took 5 mins to say hi and shake my hand.
Death is forever. Gives me the chills. Awesome.😁
if any band deserves to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, that is DEATH!
The RRHOF is a joke. I think they inducted No Doubt. So yeah...
@@hugolafhugolaf really? No doubt?
this is not rock n roll man. fuck RnR hall of fame
Absolute mastery…what a team 😱
Legend my fav death album symbolic 🤘
This is stunning! Thanks for doing this.
Thank You Guys SO MUCH for THIS.
Outstanding! Thank you to all you AMAZING musicians for keeping Chuck's music alive. I loved seeing DTA live and I look forward the next time I can see these great musicians live again.
Brilliant 👏👏👏👏 stoked on this !!
Thank you. 🍻
This is awesome Gene, one of my favorite Death songs.
Fuck Yea! A big regret of mine was discovering death after chuck was no longer alive. This is the next best thing to seeing a live performance of such a great song. Thanks so much and keep up the great work.
Fantastic!
Love all the different camera angles in this. Thank you guys, you rule!! 🤘🏻 Keeping the metal flowing!
