whats next fighting automata's devola and popola with a remake of song of the ancients yoko taros most famous song. fighting a combination of kaine emil nier and weiss how about going the deep end and having to fight the Watchers or a reanimated caim and angelous.
Reminder that endings C and D could still have happened despite E being the true ending. 9S uploads his consciousness to the shuttle that took him and the rest of the machines to space in the ending where you play as him, while the "true" 9S is revived in ending E and stays on Earth. This could be the 9S that went on with Adam, Eve and the rest of the machines since it stated that their rocket had no destination other than a distant world or planet far off in space. This would also explain why he's more keen on using machines as freely as he does here, and maybe even why he wants to kill 2P (since this is presumably still the more insane or nihilistic 9S from endings C and D since he never got the rekindled hope that ending E brought to all of them).
@Leon Kael 9S doesnt even die in Ending C after destroying the machine network, if anything, he comes back in the Forest lol. 9S is literally too angry to die by that point. And E isnt the """true""" ending, its the most optimistic one, and personally, I hate that ending.
except 9s doesnt survive after ending E because he never wakes up, so either he dies for good or his consciousness was sent to hydaelyn with the rest of the machine network
@Leon Kael What about the multiple dead 2B clones in the Copied Factory while we went looking for Anogg and Kanogg? I would assume that was done by 9S prior to us arriving, which could certainly make him go mad.
I truly adore the level detail design for the last two bosses. The white ashes like cover has to be from the Queen that collapsed after being warped and dropped down on modern day Tokyo, how it started from Drakengard to Nier.
This is seriously some of the best final fantasy music I’ve heard the combination of Nier and FF gives me goosebumps and makes me emotional... seriously the BEST. This is up there with one winged angel and Seymour’s final battle music for me
I sometime run copied factory more than once a week even when I don't need the manufactured coin again just to hear this while I'm doing the fight. It's just amazing.
The second boss could be a refference to a secret episode on Automata's DLC, where you play as a machine that has to do tests like the ones in the raid, and he becomes crazy beacuse he starts malfunctioning and cant beat the tests
Heard this for the first time in the Copied Factory the other day and I got so hyped I swear I entered the matrix hitting my rotation perfectly while singing weight of the world at the top of my lungs
I honestly wasn't looking forward to this, I expected it to feel too jarring and immersion-shattering. But god damn, the dev team really made it fit in-universe and turned all the things I thought would be weaknesses into strengths. My hat's off to you, Team FFXIV.
Something to consider is that Neir/Drakengard have made use of inter-dimensional travel, so literally anything can go. And all that "snow" from the last 2 bosses, I have a feeling, is going to take the story into a strange place.
It also probably helps from a visual perspective that the lead character designer for N:A was the lead character designer for FFXIV (and FFT/FFXII). This of course means that the 6.x raid series has to be a Bravely Default colab. ... or Ogre Battle.
@@jtspender Honestly, the biggest issue I had was the art style being so different. But of course, setting all this on the First makes it work. It feels almost like the First's equivalent of the Allagans to me, and even if the interdimensional thing winds up happening I think that initial sense of it working in this universe like that is important for making good first impressions.
I will never forget the first time I heard this song while playing. I literally could barely focus on the fight i was so enamored majesty of this song.
This one just moves me to tears. It's so incredible in how it is epic and powerful, especially the vocals. It's probably one of the songs that really reminds me of my WoL. The song has so many layers, like how it has the powerful moments, which represent his struggles, and then there's the parts where it's slow with the traditional ff theme, symbolizing the happiness and peace of his life. The song is truly incredible in how it symbolizes many aspects of him and all that he means to me over the years.

@@soulofhate2529 I'm really hoping that soken learned from him. Because I'm getting tired of just hearing leitmotifs
Sir Hate oh no, the Nier snobs have arrived.
Actually ffxiv has some of the best music in any mmo when it comes to boss/raid fights
@@mlemlemmlemmlem what the flying fuck are you talking about? Okabe has just as much of a hardon as Soken for leitmotifs.. 90% of Automata's soundtrack is basically the same three songs remixed and layered on top of each other. And no, that's not a bad thing.

I can agree. But also man... Emet-Selch EX is prob better as a whole. I loved this raid so much but i like Emet more :P "And i mean honestly i love both of them to death they are absolutely breathtaking"
Hades
@@Joshuamiller19570 I felt Hades was too easy imo. I was trying to compare him to Shinryu which was a pretty hard EX comparably to others of that expac. But it had too many ways to cheese the mechanics on hades like the orbs that come down you can just sit in the middle and take two voluns and survive all other mechanics. I just felt it was way too easy but it could have too many factors. Mind you overall the fight is fun but had too many transitions which can mess with some jobs alignment/rotation, also final phase was a big disappointment... I understand why they did it like that but it was a massive disappointment.
Honestly, this, Hades EX, and the part where we got to play as Estinien were all highlights to me. Strong patch, I like it.
I can't believe the music can get better than this. And then I remembered that there are two more Alliance Raids coming.

Never been a fan of Nier Automata as a game, just the lore/music/characters, the theme was way too different from the one i remember and I knew i had to experience it first hand. It gives you a sense of urgency, tension.... you really feel the weight of the world.
Four months later I'm still playing this game and discovered a bunch of other great themes. But this was the one that started it all.

I feel like I'm losing hope, in my body and my soul
And the sky, it looks so ominous
And as time comes to a halt, sadness starts to overflow
My cries are inconspicuous
Tell me God, are you punishing me?
Is this the price I'm paying for my past mistakes?

Can you hear me now?
'Cause we're gonna shout it loud
Even if our words seem meaningless
It's like I'm carrying the weight of the world
I'd wish that some way, somehow
That I can save every one of us
But the truth is that I'm only one girl
Maybe if I keep believing, my dreams will come to life
Come to life...
After all the laughter fades Signs of life all washed away
I can still, still feel the gentle breeze
No matter how hard I pray Signs of warning still remain
And life has become my enemy
Tell me God, are you punishing me?
Is this the price I'm paying for my past mistakes?
This is my redemption song

@@lunerblade13 Would be great to not have to do any of this and just forget this raid ever existed.
@@WaaDjooNoBoutDa Why?
@Leon Kael them why he its here? to begin a new war agains all living things?
@Leon Kael What about the multiple dead 2B clones in the Copied Factory while we went looking for Anogg and Kanogg? I would assume that was done by 9S prior to us arriving, which could certainly make him go mad.

@@shanegrayson7068 WCS is a hell of a drug.

Have you heard "Answers"?
This one just moves me to tears. It's so incredible in how it is epic and powerful, especially the vocals. It's probably one of the songs that really reminds me of my WoL.
The song has so many layers, like how it has the powerful moments, which represent his struggles, and then there's the parts where it's slow with the traditional ff theme, symbolizing the happiness and peace of his life. The song is truly incredible in how it symbolizes many aspects of him and all that he means to me over the years.
