- This video was produced for the Ham Nation program on twit.tv. It is part of episode #260, dated August 10, 2016.
Tim, K3LR, narrated the video of his world-class antenna farm. Thanks to Parky, KB8UUZ, for capturing the audio and performing the final video editing.
Fantastic Video of a Fantastic "Super Station" !! Bigger and more impressive than any AM or FM standard commercial broadcast station, these towers and antennas are the ultimate stuff of dreams that most Amateur Radio Hams rarely even imagine, much less own. This radio station is the result of years of planning, hard work and applied resources. Across the entire globe, Amateur Radio doesn't get better than this, unless you own a chain of billionaire Amateur Radio Stations on top of every mountain range in the world. Wow !!
An economic distortion of Ham Radio.

Would have loved to see a time lapse of the towers & antennas going up. Just amazing.
WOW! Thanks for your posting!!
I bet there is a speed limit 30 mph because drivers are distracted ! And I see you are just 1 mile from the OHIO state border :) 73 from DV8/KH7EA OC-130
0:07 If you look closely at K3LR's driveway in the opening scene, you may notice large dips and indentations in the pavement. These were made by the wheels of dump trucks that delivered full loads of cash to build this Amateur Radio Disneyland. Wow !!
Beautiful array. And those night time shots look great.
Holy crap .. beyond impressive. As a UAV (drone) pilot myself, I'd have loved a chance to shoot that for my own YT channel, where I put up videos of general public interest. Nice shoot, well narrated, and very informative. Cheers from KB8EB.
how do you get all the beans on the towers? I'm assuming the tower and guys go up first.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the video.
Just received in Calgary this weekend. Great signal. 73!

What a cool antenna farm
Breath taking...WOW!
Driven past this farm a few times, and always wondered who had this investment in the ground. Guess I better go to work on my go-fund-me lol.
WOW can you talk to the truckers on that?
Price tag??😅
Gone beyond ham radio
ARE THOSE ANTENNA ARE HOME BREW
I guess there's no such thing as the band NOT being open when you have antennas like this! Wow! Those towers and antennas are probably worth more than the GDP of many countries! Lol
Probably could see my house from the top of them towers, I drive by there often.
Well planned!

Feeling a little emasculated with just my 50 foot Triex J5 and Starlink dish.
Now I understand your big signal and your reports with my qrp on the air.
