- The 2024 Mazda CX-5 continues Mazda's long tradition of being dominant in this class of vehicle; however, the love affair with the CX-5 might be cooling a bit. While the CX-5 Signature still comes with the excellent 2.5 liter turbo engine that makes a massive 320 lb-ft of torque, and the interior is still best in class in terms of materials quality, the world of small to mid-size SUVs has continued to move forward leaving the 2024 Mazda CX-5 behind. A few notable areas for improvement are the outdated infotainment system and ADAS system, the six speed automatic that probably saps fuel economy a bit, and the ergonomics that were once good if not charming are now lagging behind. Then of course there's the size of the Mazda CX-5, which feels closer in size to something like a Buick Envista from a passenger perspective (and doesn't offer that much more cargo space, either). In fact, the difference between the Mazda CX-5 and the Buick Envista in size is smaller than the difference between the Mazda CX-5 and Honda CR-V, which doesn't seem to make sense. The 2024 Mazda CX-5 turbo Signature trim still drives better than anything else in the class, but is that enough anymore? What do you think? Let us know in the comments!

I disagree. I have had 3 Mazda CX-5’s. My current 2021 will be traded in soon for a 24’. The transmission always find the right gear. I’ve got an 8-speed SUC for my wife and it gear hints too often. The Mazda is better than crossovers twice the price. Don’t change what works. But yes it will probably be discontinued in 2025. I sold these for 5 years during grad school. I would recommend super minor changes but this thing is still a head-turner. Better looking than CR-V and the Subaru lines, and I realize that’s a matter of opinion. But these are still selling really well and feel better than the new Mazda CX-50 which speaks volumes. Owners comments on large platforms have wonderful things to say. Mine gets lovely comments from strangers all of the time. Nobody points out these opinions, nobody lol. But I realize you have to find things to pick apart to make a review. But I can say I won’t watch any more videos from this channel. Feels like silly rambling and vague observations. Thanks but no thanks. She said, “whatever it’s called?” Really? Credibility shot. All cars have tons of plastic. I’m going to stop watching now. It gets more irritating and silly as I listen to her while typing. She doesn’t know what she is talking about. Small steering wheels feel great and sporty. Goodness. Go buy a CR-V. I use the cup holders 7 days a week and using the knob has never been a problem for me or anyone I know. Bye.

@@jax1079 I hope that you guys work on quality content and less about where a computer system directs people. The competition is stiff. I’m not sure if you both are just doing this for fun or you are working to establish a channel to make income off of. So hopefully the quality skyrockets or you’ll get exactly what you deserve, mainly….. nothing. The woman talks like an over caffeinated, empty nester, nagging housewife who watches the Ellen Show and thinks the world wants to hear her rants. Anyways- do your thing.

HARD agree about the center console and that arm rest. I'd love to have a CX-5 but they refuse to update the ergonomics of that center space.
Yeah, unfortunately Mazda's aging platform is starting to show a bit in some areas, and other crossovers that have since been redesigned are far more practical, which like it or not it's what matters most to families.

I just could not watch this past the 4 minute mark when the video was so under exposed. Almost black. Terrible . This could have been fixed before uploading.
